Chapter 2

The meeting*******

We are entering the room to where I should be presented as the new alpha of  the autumn pack but my stomach churns on the thought of meeting him their. The man whom I spend a night and the man I don't want to see the most. Fate must be toying with us to let us meet again. No matter what the reason is I'm not going to forgive him. The door creaks open and all eyes are set on me as I enter. I walked in and blend myself among the crowd.

"Hello their beautiful lady," a man approaches me smiling.

"Well, hi. What can I do for such a fine man like you?" I said in response.

"May I have the honor of knowing your name,  My lady?" he said.

**chuckles from me** "Oh! You flatter me. You can call me Alexia," I said.

" If I'm not mistaken, the guest we've been waiting to meet has an Alexia attached to her name as well. Is that you?" he said curiously.

"Yes that is me," I said with a smile.

"Well, sorry for my boldness. By the way, my name is Craine. Nice to meet you," he said.

" Nice to meet you too Craine," I said.

Someone in front rings his wine glass to get our attention.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you for a while but we need to proceed for the reason we're gathered here. This time, I want to introduce you Alexia Yscarlette Stone. Alpha Alexia please come forward."-one of the elders said. 

As soon as the word alpha was attached to my name, murmurs begin to fill the hall. I can't blame them because only few females are chosen to be an alpha. Of course, what pack would fully trust a female alpha to bear her responsibilities and protect them. 

"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,**** I was cut off when the doors open and the man I hated the most entered the hall with a lady clinging in his hands.  His presence dominates the room and most of the alphas even bowed their heads. The pain that pierce my heart cannot be compared to anything. So, he choose a leech over me.  Hatred and disgust is what I feel right now. Our eyes meet and his eyes are full of shock.

"Ehemmm. Excuse me, everyone." Some are shock as to why his presence didn't make me feel faze but they choose to remain  quiet. " I am Alexia Yscarlette Stone and I am the new alpha of Autumn Pack. I hope that the support and love you've given to my father will be given to me as well. The respect you gave him, I will earn it as well. I maybe a lady but I believe that doesn't hinder my position as alpha. Thank you and you may resume." 

I step down and some congratulated me but what bothered me the most was his eyes that were following. I tried my best to ignore it. His scent was very strong and if I don't get away from here, I might regret my decision. I walk towards my father and excused myself. 

Meanwhile, on Russels side,

I don't really want to go for a meeting this time. I just came from a business trip and my eyes are tired. However, my beta insist to go since my presence is highly required. All I know is that a new alpha is going to be introduce.

As we go towards the hall, a familiar scent hit my nose. The scent of morning dawn mixed with cinnamon and vanilla is very strong. I walk fast as I can dragging the clinging b*tch with me. I open the door and the world seems to stop. The woman I've been searching for is right in front of me. I want to go and mark her right this instant but the look in her eyes stop me from doing so.  I can't blame her. I also need to keep my act together because a lot of eyes are watching. My beta sense that something is going on.

She continued her little speech and her voice was like the sweetest music I've ever heard. She is an ALPHA. For Pete's sake I didn't expect that. She seems to be delicate 5 years ago and now she's changed. 

I want to confront her but Olive is holding my arm so tightly. I pushed Olive when I saw that she excuse herself. I run as fast as I can to catch up with her pace. When she feels that someone was following her, she stops and her faced turn pale upon seeing me.
