Although these Caucasian men were all wearing some form of protective equipment against the radiation, they could not wear full sets of equipment like the other workers as they needed to retain their agility during fights. While the simple protective equipment they had on were effective, the equipment were all incomparable to Jiang Fei's mysterious ring. Now that they were in an exposed area within the ore mine, the radiation was way over the safety limit. Even high level metahumans would be harmed if they were exposed to such levels of radioactivity for extended periods.
