6 confusion

When Ithak woke up the It was already noon, he was still feeling dizzy and tired. When he remembered yesterday's events he jolted up from the bed and started thinking.

" What exactly happened yesterday, I can't figure out ..... Did some disparate use their Psychic power on me.... fuck, eventhough I ran away and took detour to confuse the police... they will eventually reach me... what should I do ... what should I do.... The blood stained dress that I wore yesterday I need to deal with it..."

Ithak went to the plastic basket where he had put all of yesterday's cloth , but he was gobsmacked because there was nothing there.

He examined the whole place , then double and triple checked the basket. There was not even a blood stain on the basket.

" Fuck what is happening with me , was it all a dream or illusion ... Am I losing my mind..... I don't know what is what anymore...No it was not a dream I can vividly remember everything ...yes that is right, let me watch the news first, the incident might have caused a commotion.... "

But as he looked through different news channels there was no report of any such incident, Ithak was further confused.

" what the hell is going on here..."

But as he was changing the channel, a single news item got his attention... It was the news of an apartment on 13 th street getting on fire and it spreading drastically due to the presence of some combustible materials. It took a lot of effort from the fire service department to put down the fire, almost the whole of the building was burned down to ash.

What got Ithak's attention was that this was the building in which Rat lived and he had visited yesterday.

Ithak was further pulled into deep confusion... " Is someone covering up for me, who is doing this ... what is happening here..."

He spent more than two hours searching and trying to figure out what happened. But he soon came back to his senses, " I forgot I need to file the case and make sure Amanda and June are doing good. "

He went to check on Amanda and June, Amanda opened the door and invited him in.

Amanda had not fully recovered yet but she spoke with resolve " Ithak I know it has been hard on you, I heard from sofie that you lost your job and could be debarred.... maybe maybe you should stay away from us.... I file the case directly and ask for a court appointed lawyer ....."

Ithak couldn't stop from clenching his hand in anger, Sofie was someone that worked in the law firm even though Amanda knew her, they were not friends or anything. Any one could figure out that she had gone out of her way to inform Amanda about Ithak's predicament was not due to her good heartedness, but to put pressure on them and demoralize them.

Ithak calmed down and spoke " Amanda you are not that gullible, they are just trying to land psychological attacks to weaken our resolve.... If we take one step back , they will push us back all the way to the cliff.... trust me , even though an enquiry has been started on me it is still just a suspicion and I can still file the case..."

Amanda nodded her head " after everything that happened, you are one of the few people I trust.... and that is the reason why I don't want any harm to befall you due to us...."

Ithak replied " You don't need to worry about me, I have been a lawyer for a long time and have dealt with many sticky situations ... I can take care of myself ..... By the way, where is june..."

Amanda " She is sleeping... she has been crying a lot... even though she is still a child , she understands the situation... you know how close she was to charlie.."

Ithak stood up " I will be taking my leave, I should be at the court,... take care and tell june we will surely deliver justice for her dad..."

Ithak left for the court, but even while driving or comforting Amanda. His focus was wavering and trying to figure out the truth behind yesterday's incidents..
