Chapter 1: Where Men Fall

Looming clouds of darkness transversed the clouds, flickers of lightning coursed through while thunder rumbled menacingly.

A short drizzle soon broke into a downpour as smoke rose from the ground. On the land two armies had clashed, the Calvary's at each other throats and infantry clashed with spears.

The rain of arrows had long since seized as only the dance of blades rang sonorously throughout the battlefield.

Men adorned in leather armor, armed in spears, swords and axes clashed with vigor, their every blow could clave a boulder yet was parried by their opponents.

"Ivarthen! Must it have to be this way?!" A tall well built man shouted, his grip over his war axes tighter than it could ever be, his armor was made of metal far heavier than that his soldiers wore yet his mobility seemed higher than their.

"You all should have thought of the consequences of your actions before coming after my woman!" the man Ivarthen shouted.

"We didn't..." "Bullshit Arman! I walked hand In hand with her into your so called prince's coronation, you think I'm a fool?!" he shouted back interrupting the knights excuse.

"It's merely a woman Ivarthen, a woman you could find anywhere in this continent what makes her so special dammit?!" Arman shouted back.

"What makes her special?!..." Ivarthen paused as a melancholic smile crept up his face.

"She was special cause she was mine, and I won't rest until I spike the head of the man who defiled her! You think just because I'm not a pure royal you could bully me the way you want, then you'll be in for a surprise!" he bellowed as he stopped exchanging words with Arman.

Ivarthen charged forward his spear encased in a triffling aura of death as he sliced the soldiers who blocked his way, his eyes glowed in a crazed light as he kept into the air his spear swung downwards ready to meet Armans axes.

After the initial clashed Arman swung his axes forward forcing Ivarthen to step back, Arman hands trembled as he felt the numbing of his fingers 'such strength' Arman's eyes narrowed into slits as he stepped back sensing danger, but alas...

SSSHHINGGG

His hand fell of, followed by his leg and finally before his body fell over his head rolled.

Many of Arman's men were unable to move, seeing their general fall so easily they felt sour, yet at the same time fear for the man that disposed of him.

"For the Crime of Touching My Mate, My bride , My Partner, I sentenced you all to death, You can die in your Castles Cowardly heathens!" Ivarthen declared before raising his spear and for the first time since the war begun utilized his mana.

[Armageddon]

The skies turned read as meteors the size of the sun fell, the earth raised as mana churned unwilling to be utilized by anyone except the man who had decreed judgement.

Both Armies fell, none to be seen all burnt to ash, the once glorious castle that stood a few Kilometers away now razed to the ground as screams of men women and children could be heard.

Ivarthen stood tall as he watched it all burn from start to end and once the embers of smoke unable to rise as the torrent of rain fell. He closed his eyes and looked up "It is done mi'amor, may you rest in peace," he kissed the necklace he wore as he turned around walking away from the carnage he brought.

2000 Years Later

Ivarthen now with a new name cradled the corpse of a red haired woman, she was adorned in a white dress, that did no justice to her curves...yet as sensual as she appeared the coldness of her skin and it's paleness could not be ignored, she was dead like the many lovers he had, like the many friends he had, like the many allies he had....All of them dead.

"Why are you doing this to me Vita! Have I not fought enough! Have I not sacrificed enough! Have I not cried enough?! then why can't you just let me be? why must all my beloveds die?!" he roared

"Am I not suited for love, Am I not permitted to Love?! Am I not entitled to Love?! Why is it that only I loose people?! Why is it only I that face this Unending pain?! all for what?! Immortality?! Take it Back, I don't want it anymore! Take it back....else the more I have it...The more my wrath for you accursed gods grow! End me now else you continue to cultivate a dog that will bite your hand, End me?!" he roared his grievances as he looked upon the skies yet his cries were met with silence.

4000 yrs later

"Are you sure about this Great Warlord?!" the woman asked as her eyes trembled

"Do it?!" Ivarthen replied "Once I seal away your 'Heart' you will be cut off from your emotions, you will be dead from the inside, do you really want that?!" she asked only to receive a cold glare

"Do as your told Witch?! I am already dead emotion or not, what difference will it make, just seal them already, I can't bear to see anymore of my people die without hurting..." he lamented.

"But that just being human you know?" The witch replied in confusion earning a pained laugh from Ivarthen that shook the cavern walls.

"Which part of me looks human to you witch huh?! The heart of a Dragon, The blood of a Phoenix, The body of a Behemoth, The eyes of a Wykin, The Mind Of a Flayer, The bones of a Titan and the core of a Fallen deity....what part of me seems human to you witch....I am but a chimera one who has already lost his humanity one who no longer bears purpose....seal me away Witch I am tired of this world....if I can't even die I might as well Slumber for eternity," his rumblings caused the witch to widen her eyes in shock

'This man...all the beings he's assimilated with should have already killed him!' her mind short circuited.

"Hurry up witch I have an eternity of sleep to get to," Ivarthen commanded earning a nod from the witch.

Mana gathered In perverse amounts towards the witch who had begun to chant as mystical letters manifested from her chant all hovering around the Ball if mana as she let both sink I to the chest of the man.

"I hope you find your purpose once you awaken Warlord, the world has hurt you, the gods abandoned you, your peers lost through the ravages of time," she paused "May you find your purpose as you slumber, I will pass word to my descendants to look upon you with the same respect they would upon me."

She vowed before snapping her fingers as Ivarthen fell into slumber. His body enclosed within the elements as he was buried in a tomb at the heart of a Mana vine.
