21 Volume 3 Chapter 1 - The Boy

It was late at night; the sky was filled with numerous stars, the streetlight in Toronto city illuminated the place. There was no one out in the long road streets, there were no people who was doing their "Killing for fun". Lydia was sitting in her room with her textbook in her hand, she was distracted as she was looking out of the window.

"I should do more than just sitting in my room, now the fact that I am an Ajax I should get into fighting more people...but.... I AM STILL TOO BAD AT FIGHTING PEOPLE!!!"

She buried her head in her pillow. It has been a week and half since she became an Ajax. She has become more better than before, but she is still not prepared to defeat Damien.

"Will I ever defeat him... he is too strong, first I need to defeat the easy ones... and then I should fight more harder ones whenever I become more stronger, that's how video games go. The more you level up, the stronger you get, and the only way I can fight now is to defeat the smaller enemies."

Like in a chess game how you take out the pawn of the enemy so that you can checkmate your opponent.

While she was deep in her thoughts, she saw some men in black hoods walking in a weird way behind another women. She saw how the women was walking in a faster pace to get rid of them.

"This is it! They are the pawn! I should take them down, If I can then I have at least 2 percent chance to defeat Damien."

She transformed herself into her The Ajax suit (TAS) and she jumped out of her window and went straight to them. The woman who was getting chased at last screamed for help and that's when Lydia came in front of her.

"Don't worry I will help you!" She said to the woman who was already terrified. Lydia then went behind her and she was faced to the people who chased her.

"Wait there is a woman among them... so they are behind her for some other reason...?"

"Who are you and what do you want from her?" Lydia asked them.

"Who is this kid?" One of them asked the other.

"Whoever she is, let's leave her alone and get what we came for."

"Came for? They are not those people who kill others for fun?"

"YOU IDIOTS!" It was someone behind them. "Those two girls aren't who we are looking for. IT'S A BOY! FIND HIM." A mysterious man said and all of them left that place which left Lydia with the woman.

"That was weird... so much for defeating the pawns..." Lydia said to herself.

"Umm are you that person who came in the news right?"

"The news?"

"Yeah! That demon boy was taken down in that library and you were there... isn't that you??"

"WAIT!! I WAS FEATURED IN THE NEWS?? WHEN? HOW? I THINK I WAS TOO BUSY STUDYING THAT I DID NOT EVEN NOTICE WHAT THE NEWS SAID." She thought it in her head.

"You could say that..."

"So... what should we call you??"

"Umm the Green Ajax is fine..."

"Oh! Thank you for saving me Green Ajax!"

"You're welcome..." Lydia said as she rubbed the back of her head. The woman left and Lydia went to a corner of the street and transformed herself back. She was walking back to her house as she was thinking intensively.

"Who are those people? Who are they behind? Why do they want that boy so badly? So many questions but only few answers... I hope someone tells me the answers, I am too lazy to find it out on my own."

Lydia went back home and slept these thoughts away.

---------------------------------NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL------------------------------------------

Lydia, Lara and Almer were in the cafeteria eating their lunch together. Lydia told to them about everything that happened last night, and they were discussing about it.

"That's so weird... I mean we would have a better understanding why they want to kidnap a woman, but they want to kidnap a guy? And it's weirder that there is a kidnapper who is a woman among them..." Lara said to Lydia.

"Are you being Sexist Lara?" Almer asked while he was munching down his food.

"I am not being sexist Almer... It's simply weird in my point of view."

"I don't think they are kidnappers... I feel like they are some mafia group." Lydia said.

"Mafia?" Both asked at the same time.

"Think about it... What if the person they are trying to kidnap is a person who is extraordinarily rich, and they just want his money?"

"Hmmm that could be true..." Lara said. "I feel like this person they want is a teenager or a small child. Maybe they are using him to blackmail the parents or their guardians." Lara said.

"Why do you think that's the case?... and Almer stop munching your food, focus here!" Lydia said.

"Hey! This lunch break won't last forever." After he said that he continued munching his food, after seeing that Lydia let out a big sigh.

"So... the reason why I think this person is a teenager is because one of the kidnappers phrased him as a 'boy' like... they did not call him a man, but a 'boy'."

"That's true..."

"Who do you think it would be?" Almer asked after eating his last bite.

"Hey! Look at those losers sitting in their loser bench!" A group of boys were walking together and one of them pinpointed at the three kids sitting together.

"Oh shit, It's Kian and his friends." Lara said to Lydia.

Kian and his friends walked up to Lydia and her friends.

"What do you want Kian?" Almer asked him.

"That's a rude way to talk to someone who is better than you, you trash." One of the boys named Link said to Almer. "Why don't you get on your knees and beg for forgiveness for being so rude?"

"Link... no need of that." Kian said to Link who was about to pull Almer's hair.

"We are here just to talk to our target." Kian said as he looked at Lydia and everyone else looked at her too.

"Oh yes, the girl who ruined the class reputation."

"Seriously Lydia, couldn't you try better?"

One or the other person were trash talking about her, by then Kian raised his hand which made the crowd go silent. It was like Kian was the leader of the orchestra, He controls everyone over there.

"You have wasted the food that the school gave to you by not eating it and now it's all cold... do you know what punishment people should get for not eating their food?"

"W-what?"

"This!" Kian says as he flips the plate of food on Lydia.
