14 Volume 2 Chapter 4 - Acceptance

It has been a week since Lydia has started her training with Master to become a fully pledged Green Ajax. She hasn't spoken to her friends for a long time due to the busyness, only her clone did. It is Monday and also the first Weekly Exam of the year and it's the subject that Lydia hates the most.

"French..." Lydia said as the teacher kept the French question paper on her table. Lydia gets low marks in French no matter how much she studies, the language is easy to understand but it is hard to learn the literature part.

The only reason why the literature part is hard for her is because her French teacher, Mr. Raphael. He Is the worst teacher ever. He makes jokes that only French people can understand or relate to... but he makes them in a Canadian school. And he gives his whole biography instead of the lessons.

As Lydia took her question paper from the table, she was praying to get lesser literature questions than the language one, as she opened the paper she saw that... it was a French Literature test... there is not even a single Language question. The teacher saw Lydia's shocked face and asked her.

"What is wrong Lydia?" When Lydia heard the French accent she turned her head to the direction of the voice.

"UMMM Monsieur Raphael... this is a literature test?"

"Yes, I told about it specifically yesterday... Don't tell me that you forgot..."

"Ha ha ha of course not..." Lydia laughed nervously. She took her pen and started writing.

"Why am I so worried? I will die anyways..." She thought to herself.

-------------------------------------------------AFTER THE EXAM-------------------------------------------------

Lydia was sitting on her chair, all blank... and Lara and Almer were standing next to her.

"Is she dead?" Almer asked.

"I think she passed out."

Lydia got her consciousness back, she looked at both her friends standing in front of her.

"Ummm... how was the exam for you two?"

"It was more easier than I thought." Almer replied to Lydia's question. After hearing his answer Lydia's head fall straight into the table which made a loud noise that made everyone notice her.

"What's wrong girl?" Lara asked.

"The exam was difficult for me" Lydia said as she raised up her head a little.

"But you answered all the oral questions yesterday...." Almer told.

"THE CLONE IS MORE SMARTER THAN ME?!!" She thought to herself.

"Anyway tomorrow is Science and Technology... I hope you have prepared for that." Lara said.

"TOMORROW IS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY???" Lydia shouted so loud that it caught everyone's attention... again.

"Now seriously... Are you actually okay??" Almer asked.

"No........" Lydia said again by banging her head on the Table

---------------------------------------------AFTER ALL THE EXAMS--------------------------------------------

Lydia was half dead, she did really bad in all of her exams, but she had to pretend like she aced them all, as the clone answered all the questions during the class.

"Screw you clone, SCREW YOU!!!"

Lydia was alone in her class with her hands covering her head. The lights were off and the curtains were closed. Almer who was walking down the hallways searching for her spotted her in the classroom.

"Hey Lydia, We have an assembly in the MPH. Aren't you coming?" Lydia heard him and nodded and got up from her seat. She got out of the class and both of them were walking alone together in the hallways. Then Almer raised a question to her.

"You know... you have been acting weird lately...."

"Ummmm.... Is it okay if we don't speak about it...?"

"Oh sorry..." Almer said to her. It's not like Lydia felt offended, it's just that she doesn't know what has been going on. So it would be difficult for her to talk about it.

They reached outside the MPH and saw their classroom waiting for them.

"Lydia, Almer come here!" Their class teacher said to both of them. They joined the class and the whole group went inside the hall in a line. Lydia spotted Kian who looked a bit... moody.

The school has Class assembly on weekly basis, where they talk about important things. This Assembly was the first one of the year, which marks that it is important. The head boy and everyone who has a badge introduces themselves in front of everyone.

An hour later, the assembly was going to end... and before it could end they asked the crowd.

"Does anyone has any queries?" No one raised their hand, but then Liam (head boy) spotted Kian who raised his hand. Almer was shocked to see it.

"What is in your mind right now Kian?" Almer thought to himself.

"Yes?"

"This is actually not a doubt but more of a thing that I wanted to tell the school."

"Oh then, you can come up here and use the mic." Adalee (head girl) told to Kian.

Kian got out of the line, and as he was walking to the stage he took a small glance at Lydia, which made her notice him too. Almer saw it and he did not like where this was going. He finally got on the stage and he took the mic in his hand and spoke to the crowd.

"All of you know that our school is prestigious and it became one of the top 10 schools in Ontario within 8 years. It is good in every forms and we are flexible in everyway. The class that I am from, 10 C, is the 1st class in 10th grade when it comes to studies, but apparently our class became the last this week."

Everyone was shocked in the room, you could here so many what's and how's. 10 C has so many high IQ students that it is impossible for them to be at the last position.

"Well, it is fault of this one person that the whole class percentage went down."

"Hey, don't say who it is-" Liam was about to say but got cut off by Kian.

"What do you have to say about this? Lydia Carlson." Kian said as he looked at her and the whole crowd followed his gaze.

"I..." Nothing could come out of her mouth.

"Why? Why is he against me? What did I do to him so bad? Why is he making the whole school go against me... I don't get it...I really don't... Kian why are you doing this? Come...on... tell something... stop getting anxiety and tell something..." she thought to herself.

"You scored the least marks in everything. Don't you always get the highest mark in English?" Kian walked up to her and she was standing there shivering.

"Kian what are you doing?" Almer asked him as he stood in front of Lydia.

"I am just here to warn the class that, being friends with her could also lead them to embarrassment and they would be a shame to the school. So it's better to stay away from her."

"WHAT!!!" Lara shouted at him. The principle noticed the tension and dismissed the assembly. Everyone was slowly leaving the hall and Lydia was standing there wondering. She could already see everyone ignoring her. Almer and Lara walked up to her and asked her how she was doing.

Before she could give them an answer Lara heard someone call her name. She turned her head saw it was her friends. One of the girls name was Everly and she called out Lara.

"Hey, if you want you can join us."

"Oh I am sorry... Lydia is kinda feeling down here, so I need to-" Before Lara could complete her sentence one of them called her a weirdo and left them.

Lydia noticed it.

Within few seconds Almer's circle of friends, which included Kian too, Asked him if he wanted to join them.

"Sorry no." Almer said these two words and the team left them.

Lydia noticed that.

"Hey Lydia.. don't worry we are there for you..."

Lydia looked at them both and told them with complete acceptance.

"I think we should end our friendships here..."
