3 The Exhibition

Lydia took the banner and went to the Head Girl of the school, Adalee Smith, who was waiting for Lydia in the Reception Area. From distance, she could see Lydia running as fast as she could with the heavy fabric sheet in her hand.

"Was I late?" Lydia asked while she was panting heavily.

"Nope, you were just in time." Adalee said with a calm smile in her face.

Lydia always admired and respected Adalee as she was the head girl of the school, even Lydia herself wanted to be the Head Girl of the school as they are the most top respected students of the school. But the main reason is because the head girl and the head boy have different uniform. Lydia likes to be different from others.

"LYDIA!!!" By hearing her name and the voice she immediately turned her head around and saw that it was her best friend Lara Williams.

"Girl, Did you bring the banner?" Lara asks.

"Then what is in my hand? A gun?" Lydia says sarcastically as she unfolds the banner.

Everyone was in shock after seeing the banner, Lydia was in charge of the only banner that they were using for the entire school. The Head Boy was the one who suggested that Lydia should do the Banner. And Lara was Displeased with Lydia's work.

"Let's make another one then!" Adalee says as she claps her hands.

"But we don't have any extra fabrics Head Girl." Effie the Deputy Head Girl said.

"Then we will stick with this one"

Nobody was happy about the decision that was made but they had no other choice. Lara on the other hand, who was still disappointed spoke up.

"Sis, why does your banner look like that?"

"Umm, you do know that I have a really bad handwriting." Lydia says nervously as she rubs the back of her head.

"You do know that your excuses are still lame."

"you amateurs fights are so lame." It was someone from behind, both the girls turned their head around and saw that it was their other friend, Almer Wayne.

"Who do you think your calling amateurs huh?" Lydia ask with a visible anger.

"And why do you take everything as an argument?" Lara asks.

"oh please have mercy on me!" Almer replied.

Almer is a blonde guy and his eyes were as brown as an Autumn leaf, he may look good and all but his personality sucks. He is really lazy... REALLY LAZY. That's one of the reason why people don't like him much.

"By the way Lara, what did you make for the Exhibition?" Lydia asks the silver haired girl who was standing beside her.

"Dude, I just made a chart of science facts, so that at least some people find science interesting." Lara replied as she looked at Almer who was sitting on his chair.

"Ok, I may hate science a bit, but you do know that no matter what I am still going to be a doctor." Almer said.

"Oh the poor patient, anyway your mom still wants you to be a doctor?" Lydia asks Almer.

"Yep."

"Anyway Lara, I see that you made something related to your favorite subject."

"What about you Lydia?" Lara asks.

"Umm, I made a comic version of that one English Literature Chapter... The Little Girl by Katherine Mansfield."

"Ha! So you also made something related to your favorite subject.?" Lara said.

"Oh yeah I did! You got a problem? Anyway what did you make Almer?"

"I will make it as a surprise." Almer said as he winked at both the girls.

They did not care much about it, so they went back to their places, Both of them went to the different sides of the room. Lara stood next to a blonde girl named Mia Lare. Lara doesn't talk much to her, or maybe she never talked to her before. Lydia and Almer mentioned about her 3 to 4 times.

"You must be... Mia Lare right?" Lara asked

"Wait, how do you you know me?"

"Umm, Almer and Lydia mentioned about you to me before"

"I see"

Lara nervously chuckles, the thing about Mia is that she used to be Almer's Girlfriend before but broke up due to some reason. Lydia and Mia are friends but they are not as close as they used to be. Lara looked across the room and saw Lydia standing next to...

"No way.... Kian Wayne... Lydia please don't act stupid." Lara thought to herself.

Well Lydia has a tiny crush on him... maybe not tine but huge crush on him

"I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN I AM NEXT TO KIAN" Lydia was screaming internally to herself "I should ask him something before the surrounding becomes weird"

Kian Wayne, he might be having the same last name as Almer Wayne but they are not at all related, It's just coincidence. Kian is really popular...REALLY POPULAR. He has at least got 100's of proposals, even those who are four years older than him. So many guys hate him cause he is popular with everyone. But the biggest reason is because he reject all the proposals that the guys even feel bad for the girls.

But for some reason, people still believe that whatever he says is the truth. With all the seriousness in the world, how can girl like Lydia make him notice her.

"So....umm... what did you make for the exhibition" Lydia asked with a tint of blush in her cheeks.

"huh?"

"I AM SORRY FOR ASKING AN INANE QUESTION!"

"How does that become an inane question?" Kian asks as he laughs a little.

Lydia looks nervously at him waiting for an answer.

"I made some origami of something related to Mathematics"

"Oh man! I wish I knew how to make an origami!"

"If you want I will teach you in the future..."

"Wow really!? Thanks!"

The reason why Kian never wanted to be in a relationship despite being really popular was because he saw "Love" as a "Waste of time"

"I literally have 0% chance with him." Lydia thought to herself.
