Elijah moved like a cat while slashing his practice sword during training. on the other side of the mansion haven was having lessons on being a proper lady. " no no no! ms haven you work from the outside in with the cutlery!! " Mrs arlond exclaimed. " oh sorry" haven was used to getting the cutlery wrong. 3 hours later the lessons were over and it was dinnertime. the maids brought in the dishes and everyone started eating. haven and Elijah glanced at each other from time to time.

both Eli and haven was 17. haven's pale, straight, blonde hair resting just below her knees and her eyes a deep red vibrant colour dressed in a black and red dress. Eli's ebony hair tied back in a ponytail and dressed in a smart blue suit. they were now old enough to go to the gala in the east. after being announced at the door they stepped inside the ballroom. the adults and political figures when to one corner of the room to discuss the politics and mass murder of a vampire village. elijah and haven went with the other 17 year olds. amidst them was peircenal, or rather, peirce as everyone called him with his blue dyed, messy fauxhawk . and Evangeline with her fiery red hair tied up into a high ponytail revealing the rebel shaved sides on her head. Eva was the soon to be , lady of the east and needed to find a partner. peirce, soon to be lord of the west. they stood in a group of six. the other two being the twin younger sisters of peirce. they were allowed to come because they were under peirce's protection. a deafening crash could be heard from all corners of the ball room. the heavy doors burst open to reveal a dozen or so human warriors equipped with freshly cut, wooden stakes. half of them crowded all the high class vampires into one corner. all but two. haven was backed up into a wall as several of the humans ran at her. elijah pulled out his shining sword in his left hand and was wielding a hand cannon in his right. he shot through three of the humans with a single, precise shot and the other four attacked him at all angles. he was the only thing standing in the way of the humans and haven's demise... after he sliced the through the throat of the last human, haven ran up to him and hugged him tight. "argh!" he groaned in pain. "oh my god!! are you ok??? you big numbskull!!!!" she exclaimed, seeing his wounds. large gashes made with the wooden stakes. there were one on his right arm, one on the side of his stomach and one going down his eye. all of them were oozing dark, red blood. " hey if I wasn't a numbskull you'd be dead shorty!!" he replied in a painful breath. what was remarkable was that he was still standing. they found his parents and the started the carriage ride home.
