6 Chapter 6: Confusion and Cooperation

"What? What are you talking about system? I thought it was you who gave me that quest-"

Before Ray could finish his sentence all of time and space froze. And then three distinct lights appeared, one was blue, one white, and the other was black with hints of purple. They quickly condensed into faceless figures, except the black wisp.

{Hmph! You think you can contact your puny HQ in the face of this sovereign? If my identity is ever revealed the heavens would go into chaos. Fortunately for me I can beat you into submission before you can contact them.}

[Oh? You think you can beat me puny lizard? I beat you didn't know that-]

{Hah!}

Before the system could even retort the dragon, it struck forward with its claws at a terrifying speed.

The system countered and they were struggling in hand to hand combat for a whole twenty minutes. And then the two finally stopped and smirked at each other.

There was a sharp gleam in their eyes and they both charged up their most powerful attacks. The dragons stomach swelled and flames could be seen raging inside of its throat. And the system was charging up an energy attack similar to the Kamehameha, they both took time and waited patiently to be at full strength. And then with mighty yells they both released their attacks.

[HAAAAAAA!!!!]

{ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAR!!!!!}

But then, the black and purplish wisp started to condense into the form of a woman and a terrifying energy radiated from her.

<You boys are so damn annoying! JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP SO I CAN SLEEP!>

Her eyes glowed with a terrifying killing intent, the space that was frozen started to develop cracks at her every step.

<It seems only 0.01% of my strength can be used here, since these puny domain would shatter if I went any higher..>

She then walked over to the two men, she placed her hands onto their shoulders lightly. Their faces tensed up instantly and veins could be seen bulging out from their whole body.

[H-how is this possible- It feels as if a mountain is crushing me and she hasnt even applied any force! Moreover she isnt even using 1% of her power!]

The system barely spoke through gritted teeth as he tried his best to keep standing.

{Y-y-you! I know who you are your-!}

Before the dragon could even speak, the air around him became extremely dense, the aura of death permeated throughout the frozen space.

<Silence.>

{Y-yes…!}

She turned to look at the system, and then back at the Dragon with a scrutinizing gaze.

<You two boys play nice for our dear Ray, Especially you little lizard. Your recent actions have only been detrimental to him. Image matters far too much to these weak minded humans and just that by itself could ruin Ray's. So, you will abide by the Systems terms and reward Ray properly and not try to take over his mind. Do you understand? Or shall I elaborate.>

{Y-yes ma'am}

She then turned to the system.

<And you, I have a special task for you.>

About an hour later space and time resumed to normal and all was well with the world.

"System what is happening?! Why do you sound so worked up?"

Ray asked in a slightly worried tone, although he was an extremely smart boy and could predict these things. He was not very good at controlling himself, emotionally, in this case he was extremely worried.

[It was just a false alarm host, don't worry about it. It seems that when I updated I did not receive all of my patch and update logs. So I was unaware of the situation and assumed the incorrect thing.]

Ray immediately calmed down after hearing this, although his eyes held a glint of suspicion, but it quickly disappeared.

"Interesting.."

Suddenly a voice came out of nowhere, startling Ray.

{Nice save system!}

"Who was that?!"

Ray asked frantically as he looked around cautiously. Everyone looked at him weirdly for a moment but continued eating like normal.

[What the-]

<It seems my awakening has broken the systems restrictions on us. So now we have complete free reign as long as it is not detrimental to Ray.>

"What in the-"

<Wait! Before you get all confused use your smart brain to comprehend all of the information I'm about to send to you.>

And then massive amounts of information flooded into Ray's mind, he instantly understood the entire situation and nodded. His eyes clearly reflecting his deep understanding and vast intelligence.

"I see, so you two are the bloodlines hidden inside of me, that where for some reason purified to the max by the systems very first awakening. And since your bloodlines have been purified to 100% purity. I became a something like a successor to both of you to inherit your powers. However the system resisted the first awakening of your consciousness's and you both were still asleep this entire time. And when… Father passed, the bloodline of the liza- dragon reacted violently and awakened."

[I told you he was abnormally smart]

The system harrumphed as if it achieved something even though it fell to the boys mental prowess.

<This is great! Finally a human worth teaching! Very high intelligence and your body will be further refined for immense strength boosts in the future! You truly are worthy to be my successor! Im going to have to thank your mother and father for creating you, I probably wouldve destroyed you if you were some weak frail minded- oh whatever!>

"Uhhhhhh"

[Anyway host, the three of us are now cooperating and have decided to give you individual quests, THAT MAKE SENSE. To further strengthen you and give you the abilities your meant to have. I have already adjusted the system accordingly.]

Ray's initial confused expression had already vanished and was replaced one with anticipation and excitement.

"Will be very fun.."
