Chapter 2

They try to wake up Lilith. They shake her and yell, "Lilith wake up! Please wake up!" They sound panicked now.

Lilith slowly wakes up and looks up finding Riddle hovering over her. She then looks at the town with at surprised look. "What happened?" She yells, clearly confused and worried by the town's current state.

"What does it look like? The town's completely deserted!" He yells back, Cleary in disbelief by the current state and situation.

"But how? This can't just happen in a few minutes? Did we go back in time or something?" Lilith says in a uncertain voice of confusion.

"More like forward in time," Riddle states.

"What? Is that even possible?"

She yells while still trying to make sense of the weird situation.

"I don't know, but this is the current reality. We should look around for any clues as to why this has happened and why this has happened," they say trying to calm her down.

"Yeah, you're probably right," she says still processing everything that just happened. "Where do you think we should look?" She asks.

"Maybe our homes," they say.

"Good plan. It'll be good to see there is anything that happened to my home as well. But what are we going to do about everyone else? Everyone in the town has disappeared, we need to fox this," she says with a look of concern.

"I don't know," he says. Lilith is looking as if she is about to cry. "Hey, hey, hey, hey. None of that. We will find a way to fix this. I promise. We will get everyone back and figure out why this has happened," they say trying to comfort her.

They make it to Riddle's house. Riddle opens the front door as they go in. The house is exactly the same as the one that he remembers. He looks around and everything is exactly how it should be.

They walk in to Cecila's room, his little sister. They find a diary and start reading it, to see if they can find any clues.

They read the diary together and it starts to bring up more questions than it answers. It's almost like Cecila knew that this would happen. She says that Riddle might get it if he thinks hard enough, as there are a lot of hints in the book. Some seem to be riddles of their own, which Riddle has no trouble solving but som are just straight forward clues.

They seem to be going somewhere with this diary. There is a lot of information and it all seems pretty important. This should be the key to figuring out why and how. It's just that it's going to take a fair bit of effort and thinking to figure what is going on. It is a puzzle with not a lot of direct answers but there are lots of pieces and all of them together could unlock what is really going on.

"I don't get it, none of this makes any sense. Why is everything like this?" She says with a confused look on her face a puzzled tone.

"We need to figure this out or we won't find a way to change it back," he says with a determined expression on his face.

Going to his father study, he sets up a work place. He starts to go over everything they have read so far. They try to figure out what is going on while looking at the puzzles and clues the diary suggests. They're making progress but he doesn't have enough information or understand enough to piece it all together.

Lilith on the other hand is very curious and interested as to what Riddle is doing in his work place. She asks them, "What are you doing?" She sounds eager to hear his response.

"I am working out what is going on. This diary is very complicated and I need time to figure it all out," he says still looking at the diary. They then look at her with a smile, "And I need to use the most complex tool in tool in this room- my head," they say jokingly.

"Is there any way for me to help," Lilith says.

"Yes, look for all the books on time travel in this room," Riddle smiles at her.

Lilith then looks around for book on time travel. It takes a bit of time but she eventually finds them. The collection of books on time travel is quite extensive. She hands them to Riddle and he starts reading them, there are many of them and are all complex and seem to only be interesting to people who are really into tome travel as they go deep into the study of it. But it's something new that can help them figure out what has happened and hopefully change it and find a way to get everyone back.

"Well, I'm going to cook some food for us," Lilith says leaving the room.

"Yeah, good idea we need food," They say as he continues to read the books on time travel.
