1 Chapter 1
Lilith and Riddle are in the enchanted forest just outside of their town where their parents have tought them everything they know. They have never explored this part of the woods. It's pitch black, but Riddle's eyes are able to see as if it was day in the dense forest.
Lilith starts moving through the forest trying to find her way out. She hears a noise coming from up ahead. She moves forward and sees a blue glow coming from the ground. She sees a tiny chest and she checks it out.
She looks at the chest in awe. Suddenly she hears Riddle's voice yelling at her to get away as they are rushing over to where she is.
They push Lilith away just as the chest erupts leaving her unharmed. They quickly go close to Lilith to make sure she is okay as she is shaking.
She gets over the shock and looks at Riddle. She is confused and starts walking to the chest again but Riddle pulls her back and yells at her, "Don't touch it!"
"Why not though? It would make for something at the market or to keep," she says still wanting to open the chest and see what the blue glow was about.
"It isn't worth dying for! I was told a story as a child about a chest that had this same blue glow, it's said to be cursed. It makes those who find it too greedy. I don't want anything to happen to you," they say.
"But it might be valuable! It will just be for a second!" She tries to walk towards the chest again, but Riddle pulls her back.
"NO. That chest can stay where it is. If it can try to kill once, it can try to kill again," they say with a stern and serious face as if he is trying to make her understand the danger.
"So? I'm still going to open it," she says trying to open the chest again.
They push her away from the chest with all their force and yells, "NO, YOU ARE NOT!" He is angry and trying desperately to stop her.
"I AM going to touch it! And you CAN'T stop me!" She says with a determined look in her eyes.
"NO, No you aren't! I will stop you, whatever it takes," they say with such force it startles Lilith and her face changes to a worried look.
"You aren't my father, Riddle. I don't have to listen to you," she says in a mean tone as she goes to touch the chest again despite what Riddle had previously said.
Riddle takes the opportunity to knock her out. She suddenly falls to the ground. She appears to be unconscious but as a safety process they check if she is faking it. She isn't and is really unconscious.
They pick her up and try to find a way out of the forest. As they are carrying Lilith through the forest, they see something in the distance. It's the town.
They start running, using all hid strength and speed to make it back to the town with Lilith on their back. They run as fast as he can and reaches the town within about 3 or 4 minutes. They manage to make it there safely.
But when they make it back the town is different. Everyone has disappeared. He is shocked and confused by what he is seeing. The town is now deserted apart from him and Lilith.
As they keep look around, he feels a sense of dread and sorrow. It is as if the world has changed since the last time he saw it. He looks at Lilith, who is still unconscious, and brushes her short pink hair out of her eyes. They start to become worried as they are sure that Lilith won't like it at all.
