1 The Squire of Camelot; The Adventure Begins

Some say that after death, a new adventure begins.

Limbo. A place between heaven and hell, but closer to hell.

Limbo is a place where one can think things over or for some, raise a child.

Our adventure begins within limbo itself. Where a forest can be seen.

In that forest, a child can be seen sitting atop a rock.

The child has black hair and red eyes.

The child sits on top of a rock staring at the stars on the night sky.

The child has loved to look at the night sky for many years. Ever since he was a baby.

back then he and his father loved to watch the night sky together, but lately. The child has watched the night sky alone. Because, his father is a very busy person. Which the child understands, but the child still wants to be with his father from time to time.

Then suddenly a voice can be heard calling for the child.

''My son where are you? '' said the voice.

'' Its father!'' said the child to himself.

The child rushed towards his father as fast as he could to the point where he was almost flying.

Then after passing through some bushes and trees. The child flew straight into the embrace of his father.

The child looked up to the face of his father, from his father's embrace and said, with a smile.

'' Hallo father! '' and the man who is the father to the child is none other than God's most beloved messenger. The Archangel Gabriel.

'' Hello, my son. How are you?, Jacob'' said Gabriel.

'' I am fine father '' said Jacob.

Gabriel sighed at that comment.

'' What is it, father?''

'' I thought I told you, not to lie to me, my son''

'' But I am not lying Father ''

Gabriel looked at his son with a serious look on his face.

'' Okay. Maybe I have been a little lonely since you are so busy, but I know that it is not your fault father. You are needed by God. You are after all. God's beloved messenger and all the other angels and archangels look up to you '' said Jacob.

Gabriel sighed once again.

'' What is it now father?. I did tell you the truth ''

'' I know that my son and I am proud of you for that, but the reason I am saddened is because of what you just said '' said Gabriel.

Jacob got a confused look on his face.

'' Let me explain. It seems that you are aware of the circumstances. That I can not spend as much time with you, as a would like. Which is something that saddens me '' said Gabriel (while walking with his son through the forest within Limbo).

'' You do not need to be sad. Father, I am okay, really '' said Jacob.

Gabriel looked at his son with a smile on his face.

'' Limbo. It is the only home you have ever known. It is here that I raised you when you were a baby '' said Gabriel.

'' Yep. We have had a lot of fun adventures here. Right, Father '' said Jacob.

'' We have indeed, but I think it is time that you went on your own adventure within one of God's many worlds '' said Gabriel.

'' What do you mean father? '' said Jacob.

'' Well. Clearly, you have shown that you think like an adult. Which means that you can be responsible '' said Gabriel. '' So I know, that you're ready, my son '' he continued.

'' Do you really mean it, father? '' said Jacob and Gabriel looked at him with a smile on his face.

Jacob jumped up in the air from his father's embrace in celebration.

'' I can not wait. There are so many places and things that I want to see. Not to mention the things I want to do. I also want to make lots of new friends '' said Jacob while running around Gabriel.

'' Yes… yes. I know that new things can be exciting, but you must always remember..'' said Gabriel and then kneeled in front of Jacob holding his shoulders.

'' You must be careful my son. You are not like everyone else. you have been blessed with the power of creation from God. A power whose only limit, is your own imagination. you can create anything and any power you want, but you do remember that I myself, have for now put limiters on the things, powers and abilities that you can create. Right, my son? '' said Gabriel while looking into Jacob's eyes.

'' I remember, Father '' said Jacob with a smile.

'' Good, but most important of all. Is that you are only part human. You are also part angel and part dragon. You remember that as well, right my son? '' said Gabriel.

'' I do, father ''

'' Very well then. I assume that you want to leave immediately, so I…..'' But before Gabriel had a chance to finish his sentence. Jacob ran into his embrace once more and gave his father a tight hug and Gabriel hugged his son back. They hugged each other for a couple of minutes.

'' Right. I am ready to leave now father '' said Jacob.

Gabriel looked at his son and smiled. He then stood back up.

'' Very good my son. I shall now remove the limiters I put on your teleportation and mind reading abilities, but remember that only read the minds of others in an emergency and use your gift - the power of creation - carefully now. You are limited, but that does not mean that your gift is not dangerous when used unchecked '' said Gabriel.

'' I will be careful. I promise father '' said the small boy in front of Gabriel.

'' And one last thing before you go, my son '' said Gabriel while looking at Jacob with a smile '' remember that there is nowhere you could go, that I could not follow. Call for me and I shall be there '' He continued.

'' I will, father '' said the young child with a smile on his face looking up at his father who no longer could hold back his tears.

Jacob closed his eyes and focused, his whole body then lit up and then he vanished from within Limbo.

Gabriel wiped the tears from his face and returned back to God's side.

Jacob appeared in an unknown world, in an unknown time within another forest.

'' Man this stinks. I leave one forest and end up in another '' said Jacob to himself (while walking through the forest) but before Jacob could do anything. He suddenly heard people yelling in the direction in front of him. He ran towards the sounds and saw four boys about the same age as himself fighting, what looked like a chimera.

Jacob could see from a bush nearby that the four boys were struggling. Two of the boys were down and wounded. While the two other boys tried to scare the large chimera away.

'' What do we do? '' said one of the boys standing up.

'' We fight. There is nothing else we can do '' said the other one, but that was when the chimera had enough of waiting around.

The chimera jumped midair, ready to eat one of the boys hold.

'' Watch out! '' yelled the other one.

The boy that was about to be eaten by the chimera stood his ground and ready his small sword '' If you want me, then come and get me! '' he yelled.

Jacob immediately ran from the bush, he was at. He ran so fast that time itself was almost moving slower. Which made it possible for him to catch up with the chimera.

Jacob pushed the boy, the chimera was about to attack and now Jacob stood before the chimera . Jacob raised his right arm and punched the chimera's lion head in mid-air, so hard that he destroyed its whole body in the air.

Jacob now looked back and saw that the two other boys who had been unconscious were awake now. All four boys just looked at Jacob, but then the brave one of them came in front of Jacob and put his right hand on Jacob's shoulder and said.

'' That was freaking epic. How in the world did you do that? '' said the boy.

'' I do not know. I guess I was just lucky '' said Jacob.

'' That was not luck, my friend. That was power '' said the boy

'' What is your name? '' asked the boy.

'' My name is Jacob ''

'' Well, Jacob it is nice to meet you. The three behind me, are, Amir, Loholt, Tom and I am Mordred '' said Mordred.

'' It is nice to meet all of you '' said Jacob and waved and the others waved back.

'' So are you all brothers? '' asked Jacob.

'' No. We are just very good friends '' said Mordred, but Jacob knew. That they were not just friends, but it seemed that none of them knew that, so he was not going to say anything.

'' So Jacob where do you live? '' asked Mordred.

'' Well I did live in Limbo, but not anymore '' said Jacob.

'' So that means that you have no home as of now '' said Mordred.

'' I guess not '' said Jacob.

Mordred had a sad look on his face.

'' Hey, Mordred. Amir and Loholt are wounded. We should get Morgan Tud to look at them '' said Tom

'' Right. Hey Jacob what do you say to come back with us? Since you have nowhere else to go '' said Mordred.

'' Well. If it is alright with you guys, then I suppose I can, but where are we going to? '' said Jacob.

'' Well. We are going back to Camelot. It is not far from here '' said Mordred.

'' Camelot…'' said Jacob.

'' Have you heard of it? '' asked Mordred.

'' No. Can't say I do '' replied Jacob.

'' Trust me. You are going to love it there. Me, Tom, and Loholt are all squires in Camelot. While Amir is a apprentice. Hey, maybe you can also became a squire '' said Mordred.

'' A squire? '' said Jacob quietly to himself.

'' Well, for now, let's go back to Camelot '' said Mordred while walking towards Loholt and carried him by the shoulder. While Tom carried Amir by the shoulder.

Jacob runs up and helps carry Loholt by the shoulder as well and then the five boys set out towards Camelot in the distance.
