1 Just the Beginning

It was a peaceful morning in Inkopolis. The sun shined bright as a subtle breeze blew by. It was another day of Fall. The birds were chirping, Turf Wars were beginning, but somewhere just outside of Inkopolis there was a small apartment. It seemed to be peaceful, normal, maybe even quiet, but when you looked a little closer...

"Kai!" A loud voice screamed. "You need to wake up! It's already 11:50!"

"What?! Already? But I'm still tired," Kai said in a whiny voice.

"Yes!"

"Can I have five more hours Sol? Please?" Kai asked rolling to the other side of his bed.

"No! You won't have enough money to pay this month's rent! Plus, we need to find two more members for our team!" Sol crossed his arms and glared at him, still trying to get him to wake up.

"Can I choose a new team name?" Kai asked, turning back over to face Sol.

He sighed, "Yes-"

Kai's face lit up with joy and he sat up in his bed immediately. "Ok, I'll be ready in 10!"

Around ten minutes later, Kai walked out of his apartment to greet Sol. He was wearing a backward visor with a white long-sleeved shirt.

"What took you so long?"

"Sorry, I couldn't find my Dapple Dualies," Kai responded, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well, are you ready to go?" Sol looked at Kai as he tapped his foot on the floor.

"Yes let's go!"

"Oh no, here we go again."

Sol and Kai walked out of the apartment and walked all the way to Inkopolis, and that's where the adventure would officially begin...
