10 Exploring the abandoned subway

They looked around the room. Graffiti covered the dirt-covered walls, while neon lights were strung all around them. Stickers were plastered as far as the eye could see.

Niki glanced at a nearby ink splotch, "So where do we go now?"

"I don't know, but you'll find a way out!" Captain Cuttlefish announced.

"Oh, I think I see an opening!" Kai pointed at an unfastened turnstile.

Niki was shocked, "Wow, good job!"

"Yeah! Thanks!"

So they walked towards the gate and entered another part of the station. There was an abandoned train car that led to another part of the subway. Niki, Kai, and Captain Cuttlefish took in their surroundings while walking through the rail car.

At the end of the hallway was a vault that was locked from the outside.

Kai whined, "Aww now what?"

"We find the key," Niki said nonchalantly.

"Hey, kiddos! It looks like there is an abandoned room over there! It might have the key!"

"Ohh there is! Well, let's go over there!"

They walked into a room that had a self-opening gate.

"Wow, this place is awesome!" Kai said.

"We don't even know where THIS place is!" Niki crossed her arms.

"Oh well, let's explore!"

"Wait! Don't touch any-" Before Niki could finish, Kai stepped on a platform with two red glowing footprints on it. A capsule formed around him, covering his body completely.

"What did I just say! I told you!" Niki yelled.

"Wait...I think I can get out! I think it's giving me a weapon thing."

"Don't grab it! It could be danger-"

"Okay, I grabbed the weapon thing."

"Oh my cod, WHY!?"

"Kiddo, I think that's a Splattershot Jr."

"Ohhh...right! Thank you Captain Cuttlefish!" Kai said.

As soon as Kai grabbed the Splattershot Jr, the capsule that enclosed him retracted.

"Look! I escaped!"

"You dummy! You're on the wrong side!"

"I'm going to go and explore!"

"Oh my gosh, please no."

Defying Niki's pleas, Kai left to explore. He wandered around the room, using the Splattershot Jr and inking the ground. There were boxes that were bigger than he was, and hook shots that were perfect for swinging.

"Hey! I think I found something!" Kai said

"What did you find?" Niki asked.

"I found an extra-large box with LOTS of tape around it! I'm going to break it!"

"Wait-"

"And done! Ohhh by the way I found the key!"

"WHAT?!" Niki screamed.

Kai just grinned, "I'm coming back now!"

Walking over to the capsule, it enclosed around him and took his weapon away. He strides over to the locked structure, and put the key inside. Niki, Kai, and Captain Cuttlefish walked through the rest of the dark hallway the key had unlocked. When they got to the end of the tunnel, they could hear a telephone ringing in front of them.
