44 Unexpected setbacks

Her fangs became visibly larger and sharper, while her ears like Yuuki, became sharp and long.

Her once light purple eyes were completely changed to a pair of eyes with a strange dark sclera and iris, while a creepy white slit pupil complemented it in the center.

The strange thing about the dark color in Rika's eyes is that, unlike the other girls' eyes, hers seemed to have no end, as if instead of eyes, she just had an infinite dark void.

"Mmmm" Thinking for a few seconds, Rika sighed "Actually this is my demon form... I know I can take a more human form to camouflage myself, but for some reason the very thought of doing so, makes me want to vomit."

"That's funny" Rubbing her chin, Kiriko lowered her gaze to her sharp claws and muttered "I feel like I can transform into a real dragon too... do I?"

"Avoid it for now, I don't want to get crushed" Chuckling, Rika turned her gaze to the rest of the girls and commented quizzically "Why so quiet? I thought you'd be all happy and squeaky?"

"I feel weird..." With an uncomfortable and stiff face, Rei continued "I want to smile, but my face doesn't share it... I even want to stand up, but my legs are shaking... I think I'm having a hard time adjusting to this new body."

"Yeah?" clenching her fists, Shizuka mumbled "I don't feel any different... although I do feel very light."

"Good grief..." Opening her eyes a little wider, Rika put her hand to her heart and murmured "How beautiful your voice is!"

"I change my voice?" Cocking her head to the side, Shizuka turned her gaze to her tail and tried to grab it, but, even though the tail was hers and theoretically she's wagging it right now, her hands were failing to reach them, as if the furry tails had a life of their own "I think I'm having some problems too"

"It's because of the change in your body structure and the sudden increase in strength" Stiffly moving her lips as she speaks, Saya continued calmly "We all grew in size and I'm sure our muscles and bones changed completely. Waving her hands in front of the girls, Yuuki smiled stiffly and pointed her finger towards her fleshy lips, while her cheeks trembled slightly.

Without bothering to look at the others, Saeko took her tail in both her hands and gently stroked it with a small smile on her face, causing more than one to roll their eyes at the scene.

"It's the best way" Nodding, Saya was silent for a few seconds and continued "It's amazing how crazy my brain feels right now... I can't control a train of thought as I subconsciously try to comprehend this vast place... even talking is hard for me."

"My body feels cold... but I'm not cold" Ignoring Saya's comment, Rei gently squeezed her skin and murmured absentmindedly, while her soft voice would make most men feel their legs turn to jelly.

The more the girls live together, the more they realize that their own changes are not just about their new features.

Voices, smells, senses, strength, expressions, everything about them seemed to have changed, causing each one to be completely distracted in their own thing and the atmosphere to become quieter and quieter.

Thus the time passed quickly for the group.

"Heh" With an arrogant face, Yuuki turns her gaze towards Kiriko and giggles with amusement "And Kiriko? I'm sure she smells like an old lizard."

"Kiriko smells like... I couldn't tell you, I've never smelled anything like it" Shrugging, Saeko turns to the silent Saya asks "Is something wrong?"

"I have another theory about the smells, but just when I think it might be right, 3 more pop up" Smiling bitterly, Saya sighs.

These 5 days have been quite difficult for Saya. Having a new super intelligence, without her wanting it, every little question becomes a long and deep thought inside her mind, causing even the smallest conversation to distract her greatly.

"We're leaving" Hugging Rei from behind and being careful with her wings, Kiriko rested her chin on her daughter's shoulder and smiled "How are you feeling?"

"I still feel a little weird, but much better before" Smiling slightly, Rei took her mother's hands and looked at them carefully "Your claws look dangerous but cute"

"And yours are very cute" Chuckling, Rika watched her daughter's face for a few more seconds and gently kissed her head, while some complicated feelings expanded in her mind.

Ever since Rei had her race change, it seems that all her outgoing demeanor disappeared, leaving only an elegant but silent woman.

She rarely smiles on her own, rarely seeks to interact on her own, and certainly this has Kiriko worried, after all she knows perfectly well that her daughter used to be a social butterfly and just seeing her silent for more than half an hour already made her hair stand on end.

"How do we get back?" turning to Saya, Rika asked.

"Then let's go" Closing her eyes as the others follow in her footsteps, Rika took a deep breath, and the next second she opened her eyes to find a rather peculiar scene 'Wow...'
