EP13 - MAZE.

Conrad was lost.

After Avyanna left him , he had no idea where to go. Seen he couldn't do without an authoritative figure in his life to keep him in check.

"That's so not true". Obi grumbled.

He sat in the same place for a while when a thought intruded into his head. Why sit down here, lazily, like a damsel in distress waiting to be rescued?

He was supposed to get up , have some balls and go find his friends.

With this in mind he prodded forward.

He was going to find them...

And they were getting out of there.

Kyra sat down on the ground wearily, tired and exhausted .

Su ling squeezed her face sourly as she looked into her paper. Kyra's HP was getting low due to fatigue and exhaustion.

It was like she was stuck in a maze . She had searched every nook and cranny of where she had been stranded roaming the entire area, but all to no avail

She was extremely worried about the others especially Conrad. If she could just find a way out of there.

Suddenly she heard a noise.

"Roll for Deception" Eva said as the die was passed to Su ling.

"Um ..." Su ling said scratching her forehead."Could you tell me what rolling for Deception is , Again??"

John sighed." It means you can roll to be deceived or not to be. If you get higher than a five , you can ignore it, but if you get a less than a 4 you fall for it"He explained.

"Ok". Su ling shouted in delight." I think I've got it now".

She rolled enthusiastically but unfortunately, it fell off the table and landed on the floor.

Kyra looked away dismissing the noise.

"Forgive me , but according to the rule book, page 27 , Rule 69- Any toss that falls off the playing area is considering or regarded as invalid and must be played again". Eva read.

"HUH!!!!!!" Su ling exclaimed . "Since when was there a rule book that I didnt know about??!!"

"I wrote it since.But you never bothered to read it."Eva defended herself.

" Yep she's right." obi added as he was flipping through the rule book."That means the throw is null and void".

Exasperated, Su ling rolled again.

"Pftt" Su ling blew a raspberry

Kyra listened to the noise once mores and growing attracted decided to follow it. The sounds made her wander endlessly without a specific direction.

She eventually stopped at the huge Oak tree .

"Hello anybody there?" Kyra shouted. A cold wind blew as She felt a chill down her spine .

Someone had orchestrated this."Kyra... Kyra ... why are you doing this !!!" A feeble voice cried.

Tears ran down her cheeks.

Conrad thought he overheard Kyra voice.

"Wait!!" He yelled pragmatically, full of joy.

He was ignored .

Conrad didn't let that deter him and kept chasing on after her but the person moved faster than before , as if gliding on air.

At last she stopped and turned around.

She had Kyra's face...

But deep down he knew...

It wasn't her.

"I can help" He heard himself say. He had dealt with some restless spirits in the past .Inwardly he was wishing he could save this one.

"Help?!" The Spirit replied with mockery and disdain clear in her voice."Can you even help yourself?!!"

Conrad felt a sharp pain stabbing through his chest and fell to the ground. He was bleeding profusely. Out of his eyes , nose , ears ....everywhere.

"Please"He pleaded. "Help me.

She made to move away and turned to face him.

"I can't help you", She whispered silently like the wind that blew past them.

"No one can."

Conrad lay numb and still in the pool of his own blood.
