EP 107 - SPLITTING UP .

"Where could he have gone?" Kyra asked as she jumped down like a ninja from the branches.

"I don't know." Percival answered as he looked around. "The smoke just went up every where and by the time it went down , he was gone."

"Could it be magic?" Avyanna thought.

Levi squatted as he analyzed the dusty ground. He noticed that there were multiple foot tracks lined over the entire place. "He didn't disappear." He spoke finally. "Some one carried him out of here. Up to two people.." He stood up. "Maybe Even more."

"It is such a drag that we don't even know how these bandits look like." Kyra groaned while looking around trying to see if anyone was watching them. "

"And we can't cover this much ground. This place is huge."

"Then we split up." Avyanna decided. "We will be much quicker and we'll cover more ground. Agreed?"

Every one concurred and each departed in separate ways , all determined to get the bandits and clear their good names as Adventurers.

"They almost caught you." One of the masked individuals told the man breathing heavily. He pulled out the arrow from his leg and let it drop to the ground.

"I know Azrael. We had better watch out for them."

One of the persons who was a girl with light blonde hair, knelt on one knee and tended to the man wound as she spoke . "They have split up in search for us , What should we do Jayden?"

Another man spoke, folding up his arms and added hotly in response to the girl. "What else can we do Robin? We have to kill them now before they get to us."

"You always hot headed Drac." Robin retorted sharply. "That's just unreasonable."

"This time Drac's right." The last one among spoke calmly. "If we take these people lightly, they might get an advantage over us."

"Why do you say so?" Jayden said as he placed his hand over Robin's shoulder and got up.

"It's never any sense to underestimate any body Robin. You should know first hand about that."

She scowled but said nothing more.

"And besides the big guy told us to watch out with the one with black hair. Said she's dangerous. But its , Nothing to worry your pretty little head about Robin .' He smiled with insincerity.

"What do we propose we do then , Jayden?" Drac pronounced as he placed about Anxiously. " If we can sell this things off..." He said referring to the things that they had stolen earlier from the village as well as the ones they had gathered over time from other places. "We'll be set for life."

Jayden limped to the entrance of the cave. "We can't sit around like dummies while waiting for those buffoons to come and take what's ours. Let's take the fight to them!"

"But Jayden you're in no mood to do fighting of any kind." Robin purred softly.

"She is right. Drac picked up his rapier and tested its sharpness with the tip of his fingers. "You'll just slow us down. Stay behind and guard this place."

"You can't tell me what to do Drac!" Jayden burst out. "If I want to fight , I shall fight!"

"Jayden calm down. You're injured."

"You'd do yourself some good to listen to her." Nigel said suddenly to Jayden as he stepped out of the cave. "I'll deal with the raven haired girl ."

"Well he's gotten mysterious." Drac said sarcastically and stretched his arms. "I'll take care of the other girl and Azrael over here will handle the knight. You deal with Mr white hair." He made to move out and he cast a casual glance at Robin .

"You coming or you've chickened out?"

"In your wildest dreams." She scoffed as she took out her guns. "Go on ahead. I'll be right behind you." Drac grinned and moved out leaving Robin and Jayden alone.

Robin bent over , taking up her bullets and fitting them in her pistols, She felt a warm breath over her ears and she smiled.

"I can not believe that they bought it." She said as she turned over to face Jayden. "We're gonna be rich, love." He said and brought his lips down to hers.

Robin was breathless. "But what if Drac and Nigel stop us?"

"Then we'll kill them. Easy as that." He said simply to allay her fears. " But by then we'll be long gone with all this , Robin said . We'll go to another place , start over fresh, buy a house, have kids, One boy and one girl to be exact..."

"Men..." Robin placed her hands on his chest. "Will you be able to carry all these gold by yourself?"

"My leg doesn't hurt that bad." Jayden smiled.

"Alright then. I'd better get on it before Drac or Nigel suspects anything."Robin holstered her guns and left the cave. "I'll be back before you know it ."

She walked for some miles until she came up to the white haired man she was assigned to . She quickly hid herself behind a large tree trunk and cocked her guns.

This bastard wouldn't know what hit him.

"Roll for Sensory Perception."

Levi became instinctively aware that someone was near and summoned his Sword. But she moved. He was turning around when he felt the muzzle of a gun place against his head.

"Don't Fucking Move."

Kyra moved through the part of the forest, holding her arrows nimbly in one hand and in the other she carried her bow. She spotted a movement through one of the trees and did not hesitate to shoot. It was better safe than sorry.

She released the arrow and heard a satisfying thud on the ground below . Kyra moved swiftly to see who she had hit but parting the cover of some bushes , she saw it was nothing but a log of wood with her arrow fixed in it.

"What the F...." Kyra said as she retrieved her arrow but was cut short by the feeling of the sharp edge of a rapier against her neck.

"Hey girl." A masculine voice spoke. "What's a fine lady like you doing in a scary place like this?"

"I think you know."

Drac sighed. "Then it's a shame I've got to kill you.'

Percival was stopped in his tracks by the man In front of him. Swinging from his hands was a Chain Scythe, A long series of chains with a curved, sharp scythe at the end.

"We don't have to fight." Percival began . "Come with me peacefully and you will not be hurt as all your sins might be forgiven"

Azrael swung his weapon over his head and shot it out at Percival , grasping his sword. Yanking it away ,The Paladin's sword was taken from his hands and thrown off at a safe distance .

Percival knew that he had to be on the defensive side with this one. "Just remember..." He spoke deliberate as he took out his Shield of Honour and positioned it in front of him .

"You brought this on yourself."

Avyanna glanced at the cut on her arm that blood dropped from. Ugh, She groaned. If this guy was a supernatural, at least she could use her powers but he was human...

An extraordinarily annoying one , at that.

"Ready to call it quits?" Nigel said to her from his hiding place among the trees.

"Come out and face me like a man and then I'll tell you." Avyanna gave him a sarcasm loaded reply.

"You guessed right." He had a grim look on his face as he took out another arrow and placed it on his bow and aimed her threateningly . "Trust me . I'll make it quick."

The raven haired girl placed her blade afront her. "You're cute." She frowned. "But not that cute. And besides I'm not into dying."

Nigel gave a jeering laugh that echoed throughout their surroundings. He heaved a deep breath and let loose the arrow. and it whizzed through the air heading straight to Avyanna....
