Chief Knight Arulo

Before Leon could even turn around, Little Lightning and Raging Bull used their weapons to protect Leon.

A loud clang with a gust of air emitted from the collision and the two warriors even stumbled backward a few steps from the impact.

Finally being able to turn around, Leon saw his attacker and suddenly a cold sweat appeared all across his body. To him, it was someone he never wanted to see again. The knight Arulo.

Arulo looked annoyed at his attack being killed and he muttered in annoyance.

"Tch, annoying pests."

Seeing Leon scared, Arulo smiled deviously.

"Didn't expect to see me again, did you?"

Little Lightning glanced at Leon as he asked.

"Do you know this person?"

Leon nodded slowly as he said with a tinge of fear.

"Remember how I said Aurora and I were attacked?"

Little Lightning and Raging Bull nodded their heads and Leon pointed at Arulo with a slightly trembling finger.

"That's the guy who ambushed us."

The two warriors understood the general events of what had happened to both Aurora and Leon and looked at Arulo with killing intent.

Meanwhile, Arulo seemed amused and smirked.

"Getting angry for the two? Truly unfortunate since they'll be dying too, but I'll let you go first."

Using his rapier, which was thicker and shorter compared to the generals, Arulo leaped towards the two warriors while sweeping down with his weapon.

The two warriors used their axe and spear respectively to block the strike. Once again a huge clang echoed throughout the throne room which was accompanied by the loud sounds coming from the battle between Crushing Fang and the general.

Before Little Lightning and Raging Bull could move again, Arulo kicked Raging Bull in the side of his huge torso with enough force that the huge man was flung to the side with Little Lightning following in tow.

Clutching his side, Raging Bull roared as he charged back.

"Hold them back!"

Arulo on the other hand also shouted at his fellow knights.

"What are you clowns doing? Go attack them!"

The other knights had no choice but to comply for two reasons. The first being the fact that Arulo was the current chief knight which meant that he had a higher position and more authority compared to the other knights.

The second was simple. The other knights were scared of Arulo and his vicious actions.

Once again, the entire throne room was buried in turmoil as the warriors and knights began to fight once again.

Raging Bull and Little Lightning knew that they were outmatched by Arulo, so they used their trump cards. Their bloodlines.

Leon had some idea of what Little Lightning's bloodline looked like by the name Thunderbird, but he had no idea what to expect from Raging Bull.

Before he could speculate, a crackle whipped through the air as stray strands of electricity started to converge around Little Lightning as if he was a lightning rod.

As the lightning gathered, Leon noticed that it seemed like one of his bloodlines seemed to lethargically rustle in his body as it sensed the power coming from Little Lightning

But Leon couldn't dwell too much on it as Raging Bull also seemed to change, but his was a more subtle one.

A red aura seemed to gather around his body, while his muscles enlarged slightly and a certain glare enveloped them.

The two of them seemed to be perfectly in sync as they both lifted their weapons at the same time and they simultaneously attacked.

Raging Bull, befitting to his name, started to charge forward with such a force that it left craters in the floor and the feeling he gave off made it seem like nothing could stop him.

All the while, the electricity surrounding Little Lightning converged on the tip of his spear which looked like a thunderbolt that Zeus would personally deliver.

His muscles started to bulge as he did a run-up and flung the electrified spear through the air.

Even with both attacks approaching Arulo at a rapid speed, he didn't seem too bothered and even smiled.

"You don't think the tribes are the only ones with a bloodline? Do you?"

He leisurely strolled forward as he continued to speak not even minding the hulking Raging Bull and spear tearing through the air to impale his body.

"Sure, bloodlines are not very common and all. But they aren't anything too impressive and rare. A lot of royal families from bigger empires and kingdoms all have premium bloodlines that stem from animals and monsters that could sunder small states like Silce."

Out of nowhere, the hair on Arulo's body started to stand up as he continued to talk nonchalantly.

"Some bloodlines are so weak and diluted that most people don't know they have one and won't ever. While some have bloodlines so powerful they could end this puny state with ease. Unfortunately, I don't fall in the latter, but not the former either."

As he finished his final sentence, a heavy pressure started to blanket the surrounding area and Leon found it familiar as he thought.

'He has a bloodline!'

Leon wasn't the only one who came to this conclusion as Little Lightning, who was more in tune with his bloodline also came to a similar conclusion but he could feel it more clearly and realized something dreadful.

Whatever bloodline residing within Arulo's bloodline was not any weaker than himself, so he called out to Raging Bull.

"Be careful!"

Raging Bull might have been a blockhead, but when it came to things in battle he was just as astute as Little Lightning and knew that Arulo was about to do something.

However, he could only charge forward and hope for the best.

Arulo saw everything play out and seemed amused as he stared at Raging Bull.

"Your choice is simply a mistake."

A small yellow bird that had a long and wide beak with beautiful feathers and a sleek, slender body emerged from Arulo.

The bird shrieked and a wave of electricity reverberated and spread like a wave in the ocean.

Raging Bull who was the closest took the brunt of the attack as he started to slow down in his charge as his muscles twitched from the electricity.

Meanwhile, the fist-sized bird charged at Little Lightning's spear and used its knife-like claws to alter it off course and plummet into the ground as it destroyed a nice chunk of the floor.

The bird stared at Little Lightning who had turned pale and launched like a supersonic jet with its sharp beak aiming for the warrior's eye.

Luckily, Little Lightning had a spare knife on him and met the bird head-on with the knife.

The resulting collision completely numbed Little Lightning's hands and even fractured a few bones in his hands, but he managed to deflect the bird.

As he sighed in relief, he realized that the bird didn't try to fly back and Little Lightning looked at its path.

It was then the warriors realized something crucial. It was on a direct collision course with Leon!
