Chapter 80: Fight (II) and Revelation

"Stop. Not another step." Gang Orca and Jeanist immediately got into their fighting stance, waiting to see if the mysterious voice was a civilian or an enemy, with the latter being more probable.

"Is he with the league?" Gang Orca questioned while Tiger asked for a flashlight.

"Ever since I was reduced to this...I haven't been able to stock up as many as before..." The mysterious voice continued.

The person didn't stop like he was asked to, instead, he took a step forward. This caused Jeanist to instantly use his quirk to bind and squeeze the man.

"Jeanist! What if he's just a civilian...?" Mt. Lady immediately exclaimed.

"Use your head. A moment's hesitation could allow the enemy to turn the tables on us." Jeanist refuted as he tugged on his fibres, squeezing the man tighter,"We mustn't allow...a villain to pull any tricks.."

BOOOOM!

"Himura has only just learned to think for himself...to carve his own path forward...so, if possible, I'd like to keep anyone from interfering with that."

The man who spoke had a huge stature similar to All Might's and wore a business-like suit. On his head, he also wore a navy blue, skull-like gas mask with angular pipes at the top, a wide collar-like life-support system around his neck with multiple other pipes connecting the front and back.

A huge energy blast had suddenly appeared and blasted an entire area into dust.

The man saw the four heroes dishevelled and had fainted. They were dirty, unconscious and injured but alive.

The man started clapping as he started singing praises with genuine admiration in his tone,"That's the number four hero for you!! Best Jeanist!! I was planning to blast them all straight to hell!! But you grabbed them by their collars and threw them aside in the nick of time! Such quick decision-making, such technique...such incredible reflexes!"

"Guh..." Jeanist tried getting up but realised that a deep gnash had suddenly appeared on his stomach.

"Your strength is the product of endless training and a wealth of experience. But I don't need it. Because your quirk..isn't one that would suit Himura.

Just at that moment, four people suddenly materialised out of nowhere.

Staring at his would-be successor, he said in an even tone without any emotional fluctuation,"It seems that you have successfully pulled off the 'teleportation' technique I taught you. But to escape means that you've failed again."

Himura didn't reply and just looked down.

"But that being said, you mustn't lose heart. There will be more chances to set things right. That's why you have brought along your little band. So try again. That's what I'm here to help you do. As long as you don't mess up like your brother, it's all....for you."

The man spoke calmly and reached out his hands towards Himura who had his knees on the floor.

There was utter silence where not even wind was present when suddenly the man spoke without waiting for Himura to reply,"I knew you'd come..."

"Detroit smash!"

BOOM!

As All for One caught All Might's fists easily, the ground trembled and a huge shockwave was produced.

"You're gonna give it all back. All for One!!" All Might declared as he put more strength behind his fists.

"Here to kill me again? All Might?" All for One wasn't flustered by the sudden appearance of All Might. His tone was as calm and serene as always.

The ground below them shattered as rocks and rubble blasted out of their way.

Both of them backed off to a safe ten metres apart from each other before All for One started mocking All Might,"It's about five kilometres from the bar to here...and it took you a whole twenty seconds to arrive after I sent the nomus...you're losing it, All Might."

"So are you. What's with that industrial-looking mask?! Are you sure you should be up and about in that state?!" All Might, who originally had one knee on the floor supporting his body from the counter attack, stood up and stated,"I'm not gonna make the same mistake I did five years ago...All for One!"

All Might immediately launched himself to his target in a straight line with his hands outstretched in an attempt to reach All for One faster.

"This time, I'm smashing you into a prison cell! You and your little league of villains!!"

All for One stood there calmly and just raised his left hand and pointed at All Might,"Sounds like...there's a lot on your to-do lost. You and me both."

His hand suddenly started to produce some sort of muscle fibres which surrounded the entire arm and he opened his palm in front of All Might

The moment All Might was less than a metre away from him, All for One released some sort of blast made up entirely of air at once, blasting Al Might through tens of buildings and eventually stopping a few kilometres away.

"That's an air cannon...plus springlike limbs, kinetically boosted by four and the strength enhanced by three." All for One exclaimed as he looked at his own hand,"It's a fun little combination...but I want to add in a few more power-up-type quirks..."

"All Might!" Gran Torino was the second person who arrived after All Might did and saw the condition he was in.

"Shimura's friend? Welcome to the party." All for One was a little surprised at the presence of this super old and retired man, but he continued,"Don't fret. That won't be enough to kill him. So..."

Turning his attention to his successor, he said,"You need to flee, Himura. And take Tomura with you as well. While the heroes are distracted by their own little stunt, I have made plans for him to break out of his prison."

His fingers on his right hand started to transform into some sort of metallic structure. Extending his fingers towards Kurogiri who was still unconscious, All for One stabbed through Kurogiri's body and started to inject some things inside him.

All the villains just looked at what he was doing in silence and chose not to interrupt the process.

Kurogiri's body twitched violently before a huge mass of blackness suddenly expanded.

"Now go." Retracting his fingers, he told them.

Himura noticed that in the distance, All Might had gotten up from the previous impact and had jumped towards where they were.

"And you, sensei?"

BOOOM!

All Might's entry had cracked the floor and he instantly rushed towards All for One again.

"You won't get away!!" His face was dirty and dishevelled, but it didn't stop him from preparing a punch.

"Always think ahead, Himura. You still have much room to grow." He casually stated as he leapt up to the air to meet All Might's fist head on.

BOOM!

"Time to go, Himura! While the gentleman with the pipe mask is holding All Might back!"

This time, All Might barely won the exchange, pushing All for One back.

Just as the villains were about to enter the gate, Gran Torino suddenly rushed towards them and shot out a kick towards Himura's face.

Himura had a furious expression on his face as he muttered,"Absolute Zero."

Absolute zero: the temperature at which the particles in a substance are essentially motionless. There's no way to slow them down further, so there can be no lower temperature.

Himura can't control the temperature, but he can control the atoms so that they wouldn't be able to move at all, essentially creating a faux absolute zero state.

Gran Torino suddenly felt a chill near his foot and instantly pulled back. However, he was a little late as the tip of his toes instantly turned black from the extreme cold that the area was producing.

"AH!"

"I'll see you soon, sensei! Please live!!" Himura called out as he was forced inside the black portal.

"Himura, you will continue this war." All for One declared as the black portal disappeared.

All Might didn't wait for All for One to prepare before appearing next to him instantly and swung his fist at his head.

"Warping plus Impact recoil." All for One muttered as Gran Torino suddenly found himself in front of All Might's incoming fist. He didn't have time to brace himself for the impact and got punched right in the face.

"I really only came here to rescue Himura, but if it's a fight you want, I'll humour you."

"I'm sorry!!" All Might apologised as the impact of his fist recoiled back to his own arms, breaking some bones in the process.

"Because above all, I detest you. There was a time when you went around taking out my allies right and left with those fists of yours. And they called you the symbol of peace because of it. You stood so tall atop all of our sacrifices. How was the view from up there?"

All for One started talking and blasting All Might away while Gran Torino lost his consciousness.

All Might immediately recovered and went back straight to him while All for One prepared his fist as well.

"Detroit smashhh!!" He yelled as he pulled Gran Torino away from the clash, shielding him from the shockwave at the same time.

"You still can't fight at full power, huh? Because for heroes, there are oh so many things worth protecting." All for One commented casually as the buildings behind All Might came crashing down.

"You're too weak, All Might. If not for the incident five years ago before our fight, you wouldn't even have been able touch me, much less defeat me. In the end, I managed to destroy half of your body, but I'm guessing Shido healed you back to your peak, didn't he?"

All Might widened his eyes at the mention of Shido.

"You know a lot, huh?" All Might didn't bother wasting words on him and tried grabbing All for One's arm.

"Chainsaw plus spikes plus diamond skin."

His arm instantly turned into a chainsaw with huge diamond spikes, and the moment All Might touched those, his fingers instantly started getting shredded.

"Argh!!"

"I told you. Due to various circumstances, my regeneration quirk has evolved to become hyper-regeneration. Unless you are able to kill me in one blow, I would forever be at my peak."

He sneered at All Might who backed away with his fingers cut off before turning his head to his right and said,"Why, hello Shido. It's been a long time since we last saw each other."

Shido had arrived much earlier but chose not to interfere in their grudges and fight, but the moment he heard All for One mention his name, he stepped out of the shadows of the rubble.

Unlike his usual countenance, his face had a frown etched on it.

"What do you mean 'since we last saw each other'? I don't ever remember meeting you face-to-face before."

All for One seemed genuinely surprised as well,"Oh? You don't remember anything? After creating the large crater in the middle of the pacific ocean?"

"What do you mean? I know that I created the crater in the ocean, but what has that got to do with you?"

The three of them were at a standstill, none of them were moving. While All Might was recovering from the strong blow that All for One had dealt to him, he was also listening closely to the conversation between Shido and All for One.

"So you really don't remember anything, huh? Hahahaha..." All for One laughed out loud and took off his industrial like mask, revealing a healthy middle-aged man's face.

Although he wasn't very handsome, he was considered above average. He donned a sinister smile as he explained,"You know, I have always wanted more power. Even if my power was enough to rule Japan easily, I wasn't satisfied."

The two heroes didn't interrupt and just listened intently.

"Humans are inherently greedy creatures. So I sought after knowledge and power. After so many years, I realised that quirks are, in the end, just quirks. A mere extension of our human genome. An overall evolution of our own powers. I took all the powers that people possessed when I saw that they didn't deserve them. I took all the powers that people possessed when I liked them. But in the end, each quirk has their own drawbacks and limitations."

That's when All for One suddenly opened his arms widely and grinned broadly. The previous sinister smile was already gone and replaced by an insane smile.

"That's when we decided to pour all of our resources into investigating the world."

"The world?"

"Yes. The world and more importantly, what lies beyond it. And after almost three hundred years of research, I found the solution. The answer!"

Pointing his fingers at Shido, he spoke.

"You."
