10 Commencing Preparations

"N-No wait, I need to get ho-"

Asper was interrupted as something suddenly bumped into him. He dropped to the ground but held on tightly to the bag of bread so that it wouldn't fall, because of this, one of the energy mags in his pocket fell off and landed in front of the person who had bumped him.

He looked up to see what it was and he couldn't even hide his disgust. It was a hunter. Tall, at least over six feet judging from how he towered over Asper. Short pink hair with a knife scar near his mouth. His body was full of muscles, he seemed just like your average hunter.

His group was behind him and glared at Asper. A group of three other hunters.

The hunter seemed surprised when he saw Asper and saw the energy mag. Asper felt his heart drop and grit his teeth at how unlucky he was.

He expected the Hunter to try something, after all, a wide grin could be seen on the Hunter's face as he looked at Asper, but then Asper remembered where they were.

There were people walking around and some even stopped to watch. Seeing this, the hunter crouched down and picked up the energy mag.

"Here, looks like you dropped something, kid." He said as he handed Asper the mag. He then leaned over to Asper and muttered "Next time watch where you're going, you never know what might happen….".

Upon hearing this, A smile was formed on Asper's face as he said. "Yeah, Thank you. I'll make sure I do that."

The hunter gave Asper a few head pats before eventually getting up and signaling to his group to follow after him.

Asper stayed on the ground and waited until they were gone before getting up.

The people who were watching, then left the scene as nothing had happened and everything was resolved peacefully. Or at least, that's what it looked like. Asper knew, that right now, he was in that guy's sights.

'Do I head back home… No, They'll track me down. I can't keep all this money on me all the time… I also can't hide it at home… What do I do…?'

Asper began racking his brain trying to force himself to come to a conclusion. The one thing he didn't want happening, happened. Now he was in a hunter's sight, and could only wait to be hunted.

Once he came to this conclusion, Asper stopped thinking. His eyes grew colder as he muttered.

"What am I so worried about…? If they try anything, I'll just kill them."

Once he realized this a smile was formed on his face.

"Yeah… That's right… I'll just become the hunter instead…" He added as his smile turned into a grin.

Asper then quickly finished eating the piece of bread on his hand before making his way over to the bank.

"So you'd like to set up an account and deposit. Two hundred and eighty nova, right?" The receptionist asked.

"Yes." Asper replied.

"Understood, I'd like you to fill the paper, then to place your finger right here along with the fee" She added as he pointed at a line on the paper.

Asper did as she told. He filled the paper, it was asking for simple personal information and his address. He then placed his finger on where she asked and handed her a hundred Nova.

Ten silver coins. She counted them quickly before gathering the paper and the coins which Asper wanted to deposit.

She then placed it on top of a drone which flew into one of the halls In the wall behind her.

"Please wait a moment." She said with a smile

Asper waited, and around two minutes later, the drone came back with a silver card. She handed it to Asper before explaining.

"This is your bank card, you can withdraw any amount from any of the ATM's around using your finger print and the card. You can also come here directly and withdraw from me, whenever the guild is open. You can also use the ATM to check how many funds you have available but I'm sure you already know this."

"Yes." Replied Asper as he nodded

"Very well, thank you for choosing our bank! Is there anything else I can help you with?" She asked

"Yeah, I'd like to lock the use of ATM's for my bank right now."

'They could always knock me out, take my card and then place my finger on the ATM, I've seen it happen once.' Asper thought to himself

"Of course!" She replied as she inputted a few details on the computer. The drone then flew to the back room before returning after another minute.

"It is done. If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know." She added

"Nothing else, thank you." Said Asper as he took his card.

As he walked away from the counter, he looked at the moderately long line and the other five receptionists. It was a busy bank.

'As expected from the best bank in Zalpha.' Asper thought to himself.

***

Asper moved on from the bank and now made his way over to the nearest gunsmith.

'2 gold coins and 20 silver coins left, around four hundred Nova… I don't know what the market price for guns is but… Let's hope I can at least get some Armour.'

Despite hoping that, Asper doubted that with that amount he could get much. Miners were severely down paid after all, so an amount which is huge to him is relatively low to others. Low ranking Hunters made a lot of money, in comparison to most kinds of jobs.

With each step as he walked across the road. His pouches would jiggle creating a clanging and clattering sound. This drew a little attention. It was starting to annoy Asper.

'Should I have just put everything with my card and paid with whatever I needed with contactless payment through my bank card?' Asper wondered as he let out a sigh
