159 Chapter 159

"Morning Ace!", after a minimal pause, Amy continued, "Sorry, did I wake you up?", she said, with an eager - almost hopeful tone.

"You know you did not,", Ace head, imagining her reluctant sigh even if she would never let him hear it. "So, what's up? How was the trip?", Amy and Sophie, along with Igor and a few classmates, had gone on a trip to a volcanic sight, in order to perform a study on the organisms that could be found within those intensive heats, and the ways they were able to resist or deal with them. It sounded interesting, but Ace had not been able to go due to a prior commitment, something they reminded him about to no end, but maybe this time…

"Don't forget you us for bailing, so since we got back today, and jet lag won't hit until tomorrow, how about we go do something fun tonight, and no excuses, you owe us.", she said, and Ace smirked, "Of course, I was planning on proposing the same thing, actually, I heard a new club opened up not far from where I live. If you guys are up to it, we can go check it out, otherwise, we can just chill at some of the more relaxed bars and talk about how the trip went."

"Ok, let me confer with my team,", she said, before muting the audio input, and about two seconds later, coming back to the call. "Ok, we agree, we do a mix of both, we first go to Inamura, and we tell you about how the trip went, then, we can go to the club if we feel up to it."

"Sounds good,", Ace said, "Time?"

This time, a longer pause, "Let's meet at nine at the bar, should give us time to unpack and get some rest. Sounds good?", she said, and Ace replied, "Yep, see you then."

"Wait guys, what is it you are more excited about?", Ace said, as he went over some of the new releases that would be launched over the next twelve months. "Hmm, fair enough, but honestly, I don't know how I feel about it, I guess we will see how they play, I will probably not make a decision until then, but if I was to make an informed deduction…", Ace continued on the tangent, all the while, his pointer flashed across the screen. His keys clattering away at the truth of the song he was currently playing. One of the ones with the hardest difficulty, only completed by about 10 people in the whole world, and here was Ace, playing it, hitting all objects at perfect moments, while he was mostly paying attention to his chat, and talking at the same time.

As he finished the song, a question he had already seen multiple times was asked, "How do you move it so fast?", he read the question, "Well, the truth is that I play on a really high sense, I know that it is really weird, and honestly, I do not recommend it,", he paused for effect, "like at all. But for whatever reason, it just works for me. I am precise enough, and high sens allows me to move really fast, and plus, I don't have to move either my hand or wrist a lot, which means my movements are also shorter and take less time. It's pretty much all pros, with no cons, at least for me, when it comes to sensitivity, it varies wildly from person to person."

As he saw petitions for more information on his chat, he closed down the game, and like any good streamer, opened Paint.

"Look, it is very simple, usually, you would have a low sensitivity with a very large mat. This means that you can be very precise, whilst not losing on your range of motion. That is pretty cool, but me, I play on a map that is just as big, but my sensitivity is much higher. Now, you may ask, what does this allow?", he paused, "Well, let me show you this,", he said, as he drew two big red dots on each side of the screen with his mouse.

"Most people - by people meaning streamers or pro-players, play on low sensitivity, this means that they have to make much wider movements to move shorter distances. Of course, that also means that they are more precise, or well, it normally would. For me, however, I don't have to deal with that.", he read the chat, and continued, "I am precise with a high sensitivity regardless, which means that I can move the same distance with a lesser movement. This also impacts your reactionless, since usually, you would add your reaction time with the time it takes for you to move the crosshair over the target. If you reduce the time taken from one, the resulting time taken will also reduce. That is the main principle.", he read again, and continued, "Now, let me show you."

"Most players would take about this long.", he then drew a line at a moderate pace between one point and another, people noticed it was perfectly straight. "Now, a pro player with average settings - meaning low sens, would take about his long.", he drew the line, fast this time, and people were already surprised, the line was still straight as an arrow, but it had taken less than half the time.

"Now, get ready to be surprised,", he said, as he deleted all the lines he had drawn, but kept the two points."This is the speed I can reach,", then, he moved his mouse, it was a light movement, due to his high sense, and yet, the line was drawn to perfection, but it was much, much faster than the other two. "Now, as you can see, this is much faster. Meaning? I click heads quicker."

"This is why I have a higher sens, of course, it means nothing if I am unable to be precise, but luckily, I am."

Ace ended his stream a few hours later. It had been an interesting one, he had explained quite a bit on aiming mechanics and the way he played. He had even decided that from now on, he would always have an optional camera people could turn on if they wanted to see his hand cam. It would show his mouse and keyboard when he was playing games, and his stylus when he drew. He would amplify his camera when he played music, so that would not be necessary anyway. His chat seemed to agree, and furthermore, making it an optional decision would ensure that those who did not wish to clutter their screen with other things, and just wanted to enjoy the gameplay.
