Zander's POV

I was with Avy when my dad the alpha mind linked me telling me to meet him in his office for some urgent discussion. I smiled at her as I noticed an angry scowl on her face. She might not like me being distracted.

"I have to speak with my dad" I informed her. She must have thought it was Macy and last thing I wanted was to see her get mad at me. she gave me an expressionless face as I grabbed my shirt from my closet and gave a quick peck on her cheeks Zane is going crazy inside my head as he wants more but I shut him up and told Avy to not run away.

With that I went out of my room and mind linked my beta Eric of course I'm not going to leave her just like that. She would run away. I growled at the thought.

'Eric'

'What's up dude wanna hang out, there's this party...' he replied

'No I want you to guard my room till I return don't let your Luna ran away' he will be freaking out now

'Luna wait what?? You found your mate' I cut out our connection and headed towards the office and knocked.

'Come in' a low voice replied. I entered and saw my dad sitting on his chair with a worried expression.

"Dad what is it?" it is evident that he is worried about something serious. Is it rogues.

"Son I think it's time you inherit the alpha post and take care of pack responsibility. Look son I'm old now and I have waited for this moment to pass down my tittle to you" He said in a monologue tone looking straight in my eyes with hopeful expression.

"Dad I-I-I don't know what to say I mean isn't it a bit early to become an Alpha" I said clearly confused why would he want to pass down his tittle so early of course I want the alpha tittle but it's a bit to early I still have to do a lot of amendments before I could be accepted fully by my pack." I know son what you are thinking" he said while his eyes reflects sadness.

"Ok dad I will claim the alpha tittle" I said I really don't want my dad to be sad and worried because of me. "Really son really I can't tell you how proud I feel of you" he said getting up from his chair instantly as he gave me a hug I could see his eyes shine in happiness.

If this makes him happy then I am willing to do it.

"So dad you tell me when to claim my tittle ok I'm a bit tried so I'll see you in the morning" I lied about the last part because I want to go back to my mate as Zane is going crazy inside my head.

As I left my office I mind linked Eric to know how my mate was I have this urge to be with her all the time maybe it is the mate bond.

"Hey baby" Macy voice distracted me as she hugged me seductively. As usual her dress was short and her face caked up with makeup.

"Do you wanna have some fun tonight" her voice seemed to be choking as Zane is yelling at me to get her off. "Look Macy I.." before I could complete she crushed her lips on mine, I pushed her back and told her to go because I had no patience.

I admit I used to be with her but it only was to create the bad boy image and did kiss her but we never did anything more then that because I wanted to wait for my mate I also ignored all the false tales she would tell. "But baby you loved the way I am.."

'Zander why are your walls up I have been trying to reach you' Eric yelled

'You will not yell at me I am your alpha and I was with my dad for some discussion now tell me what's the problem' I replied and panicked. Is Avy ok.

'It's you are you trying to prank me about finding your mate and stuff' a very pissed Eric replied. Has she ran away again. No no no this can't be happening I rushed to my room and searched she wasn't there and Eric was just confused.

"Where is she" I yelled. "Who?" he asked clearly confused "Avy Grace my mate" If that helps I thought as I rushed around to check my room. I hope she is hiding as I could feel her getting away.

"what she was your mate now that explains it" he said looking like he just solved a puzzle.

"What does that supposed to mean?" I growled. "Bro calm down I saw her ran to her room when I was on my way she didn't notice me but..." before he could complete I rushed to the basement, her room. It was a bit cold, dark and a bit filthy but I can still smell her scent.

I wonder how can she even breath in here. "Why are we here in this dirty old place isn't this the place where that bitch stays" Macy said with a scowl on her face as she fanned her face dramatically. Zane was on the verge to come forth and rip her head apart but I restrained him because we have to find our mate instead of getting our hands dirty with Macy's blood.

I shouldn't have left her alone for a second and should have at least waited for Eric to arrive, now she is gone to God knows where. I ran outside the pack house and shifted allowing Zane to catch her scent. As soon as our muzzle caught her scent I ran after it but it started to rain. It took away her scent as well as my hopes. What if something happens to her. That thought alone made me miserable.

Please goddess keep her safe.I made a silent plea as Zane howled.

I will find her.
