[Patrick's P.O.V.]
Two days had passed and there was still no news of Alpha.
When we were on our way back from the crash scene that night, we met Alonso who said he might be able to help. I appreciated his willingness to help us as an outsider so we brought him to the fork in the road. But in the end, he got nothing.
I had been feeling very guilty ever since the incident. If only I had driven Alpha home that night, he would have been fine. But Luna comforted me, saying that Alpha was the one who refused to be driven home, so it wasn't my fault.
I might have been feeling guilty, but Luna was in a worse condition than I was. She seemed to have lost her soul - she could not eat or sleep, and would keep asking whenever any of our phones rang if it was news about Alpha. Sometimes, she even looked like she was dying.
