Density Alteration

Leigh attempted to soar to the skies utilizing his new power, much like one of the demons in his dream.

In contrast to raising the density of a body part, lowering it is relatively straightforward as long as the desire remains. Leigh only needs to increase the gap between each and every grain in his body, and the concentration required to do so is determined solely by the effect Leigh wishes to produce.

To fly like the demon in his dream, Leigh must greatly increase the spacing between his body's grains in order for each grain to be less dense than any gas in the air, permitting flight.

Since Leigh's knowledge and expertise about his abilities is forcefully put into his mind, he fully understands everything about them as long as he thinks about them unless they are locked somewhere in his mind and he is completely unaware of them. In this situation, he is aware of how to perform all of the tasks he witnessed in his dream, including the flying

This helped Leigh to rapidly comprehend the concept and achieve the state where each of his grains is not close to one another, allowing him to fly even if the procedure was not as smooth as the monster in his dream.

However, as soon as Leigh accomplished it, a terrible ache encompassed him, as if he were separating his own body parts that did not exist from one another one by one.

Leigh merely knew that the only way to make the process less painful and faster was to repeat it.

The discomfort barely lasted a few moments before dissipating, refocusing Leigh's concentration on the circumstances around him.

Even though he was now just a jumble of separated grains in the air above the angel, he could still see everything around him as if the grains were still working together to maintain all of his prior functions.

It was awkward, but it was also convenient for Leigh because he hadn't lost his vision or other senses. He could even feel the air surrounding him deeply, which was a little unsettling for him because it was a new experience for him.

Leigh had become deformed causing his body to no longer be visible to most people, with the exception of the angels. The grains of Leigh's body are difficult to see with naked human eyes, but angels have incredible vision, allowing the angel to trace Leigh until he reached over his head.

The angel flapped his wings and flew into the skies, then swung his sword at the demonic presence to remove his strange opponent, as the angel had never heard of or seen anything like it.

The sword slashed through the air and struck a small number of the grains, causing Leigh an annoying pain. After all, Leigh's body was nothing more than the grains, and every feature and component of it was a result of the grains coming together.

Because less grains are hit and destroyed when Leigh's grains are separated from one another, the pain was not as severe as simply being struck by the angel's sword in Leigh's normal body shape.

Despite this, Leigh still fell, and his grains returned to their previous state. This was due to his loss of concentration while dealing with the pain, which destroyed everything because separating his grains to the degree required for flying requires him to fully concentrate on the task.

A faint smirk appeared on the angel's face as he readied for another attack when he saw Leigh reappearing with a serious frown.

The angel swooped down to strike Leigh again, believing that his body, like his waist, was weaker after his weird act of begging, but Leigh was prepared and stronger this time. Leigh extracted as many grains as he could from his body and strengthened his right arm's defense, which halted the majority of the force behind the angel's assault.

Leigh then retracted his hand and strengthened his other arm, which he used to drag the angel down by seizing the angel's leg and smashing him down.

Leigh's power was lesser than that of the mid-ranking angels, but his attacks after raising the density of a certain body part were significantly stronger since it gathered all the grains he ate from other creatures into that specific body part.

This is due to the fact that the amount of grain Leigh had when his body changed was sufficient to keep his body together, so when he increases the density of a specific part to the maximum, all of the extra grains he hunted and gained from eating go into that part to increase its strength, defense, and speed.

At that moment, the other three angels turned around to see their colleague being thrashed by Leigh, a petty demon, who was only meters away. Leigh continued to strike the angel until the angel stopped moving.

Leigh had successfully slain a being from another realm, only to gain three more as the angels rushed towards him because their main purpose was to eliminate Leigh, not the chimaeras, besides the fact that a demon had just killed their comrade and they wanted revenge.

Leigh had long realized that, unlike the demon in his dream, his flying speed was far slower than the angels, thus he had to deal with the angels first in order to get out of there which was also why he decided to attack the other angel.

As for the chimeras, not many of them were alive but the couple that survived saw the scene and became even more horrified at Leigh but that didn't stop them from rushing towards the exit of the building to escape the other worldly battle taking place in front of them.

While that was occurring, Leigh decided to once more try separating his grains, but not enough to fly, just enough to be able to hover over the grain in order to use the element of surprise against the angels.

As the three angels closed in on him, Leigh concentrated on his body and deformed it once more, spreading it out in the air. When one of the angels got close enough, he brought his body back to normal and threw a punch that he strengthened at the angel, throwing the angel towards a wall, despite the fact that his punch was not as strong as the one he used on the previous angel.

This was due to the fact that he did not have enough time to make it as dense as he would have liked, but it appeared to work nonetheless.

The angel then stood up, looking as stunned as the other two angels, who had not expected this to happen despite having seen their comrade succumb to Leigh previously.
