19 Chapter 19- Diamond

More and more noise comes from the structures. The soldiers looked with their night vision but an unknown power prevented them from seeing even a trace of their enemy.

Suddenly, one of the monsters came out, and running towards a soldier. The soldier reacts quickly by shooting him, the body of the lifeless monster on the ground.

The soldier approached the corpse and looked closer before making a report.

"Unknown entity, body scan. Sign, already dead before shoots. Conclusion, it is an undeath"

After hearing the end of the message, Ash immediately ordered these soldiers not to be hit by these monsters even if they are protected by armor.

Other living dead came out of the shadows, attacking the soldiers, causing only a few superficial injuries.

After finishing the last zombie, the group cancelled the formation and moved faster towards the center of the ruins. The group did not have the time or means to take a sample of the corpse or look at it in detail.

Sometimes other zombies bar the road but they were quickly eliminated by the vanguard. The group sprinted down an alley and turning right, they stumbled upon what they were looking for. A huge temple complement made of marble, with a yellowish color.

They are quickly getting into it, securing the entrance.

"OK, we're going to explore the temple in more depth, place infrared sensors and cameras in front of the entrance"

Some soldiers nodded their heads before putting it to work, quickly laying down the devices, delaying the group a little in their explorations.

"Finished"

"OK, we continue, be prudish and especially no noise"

The group continue in depth, finding more and more room, until arriving at a giant room including in the middle to find an altar with a golden diamond placed on it. I approached, feeling a kind of pull.

I touched the diamond and an elderly man appeared in the vision.

"After the descent of the last continent, the calamities will arrive. Only the strongest leader can save your people. The number of continents before the calamity happens is-"

The message is to stop, giving way to the golden diamonds.

[Invocation object: Allows 1 million people to be summoned into your territory]

Ash open his eyes wide in front of this priceless object. There are too many questions to ask, but now we have to go home.

<10 minutes earlier>

"Emperor Ash? Are you here? Answer me"

A soldier checked Ash while these comrades pulled into the only way in and out of this room. While Ash spent a few minutes thinking, he didn't even know he had fainted and a zombie horde fell on Team Alpha.

'Request for air support and ground reinforcements. The Emperor is in danger'

'Well received, all available army moves to help the emperor. Over'

"OK, we have to hold out for a few hours before we have reinforcements. Shooting with caution, not wasting anything"

The shots continued, and some of the guys were infected by zombies and had to be shot.

After 3 hours of restless combat and a few deaths, an engine noise then a high-pitched noise and finally an earthquake was heard.

Outside, countless helicopters and planes bombed the huge zombie horde that was hiding in the city. It's at about 7am, but zombies don't seem to be afraid of the sun. Cargo planes pass over the city, dropping vehicles and paratroopers.

An urban war broke out between zombies and soldiers, causing some casualties on the Empire's side.

Ash could be brought back to the Capital safely, allowing him to recover.

When he awoke, he thought directly of the diamonds to lay right on the nightstand. He quickly emerged from the palace and headed for an extremely large plain. He acted the diamond and a dazzling light appeared. Ash of putting these hands before these eyes, dropping the diamond that floated in the middle of the plain before disappearing. In front of Ash are 1 million confused complement people before noticing Ash. They all prostrate themselves on the ground, creating a deafening noise before shouting all in unison.

"We salute Our Majesty"

It's stage, 1 million people kneeling in front of a child was beautiful.
