10 Chapter 10- The Mother

The spider was had multicolored bands on his abdomen, and a head with thousands of eyes. Behind her, a squad of black and red spiders followed there.

Seeing the mother arrive with the red squad, all the other spiders retreated in fear. Those who did not recoil were eaten by black and red spiders. Spider members flew everywhere and some black and red spiders were covered with green body fluid.

The mother uttered a shrill cry to which most spiders responded before loading the walls with more power.

The soldiers continued to fire no matter what. Bullets ricochet on spider exoskeletons, leaving only a few scratches.

All around the exterior walls of the city, trenches tens of meters wide and about thirty meters deep will be the second defense. The ants will stand inside the trenches, making galleries and waiting for their victims.

"Battalion of ants! Digging under the wall and positioned you in the trenches to wait for the enemy!"

Immediately afterwards, worker ants began digging to reach the trenches.

The battle stagnated a little, the trenches slowing down the spiders enormously. But the Red Battalion had a great idea! They advanced to the trenches and weaved a giant web over the hole. The smaller spiders saw this action and reproduced the web, which could pass and climbed the wall. The spiders have started to climb but the empire doesn't know how to let it happen either.

Pomegranates slid along the wall and exploded towards the spiders, unbalanced their mount.

"Sniper battalion! Aim for the mother's sensitive points!"

A dozen soldiers leaned on the wall and pulled the mother's sensitive spots safely. Every time a sniper pulled the trigger, a huge noise came out and stunned the soldiers next door. The precision rifle was called the hecate II.

A sniper hit a crack in the shell and fired. The bullet passed between the other spiders and hit the mother. She uttered a cry of pain before shouting a second cry.

Half of the black spiders came back and climbed on the Mother, making a shield of flesh. A soldier aimed at the shield of flesh but before he could be shot, a paw pierced his abdomen. He looked where it hurt before tears poured down his cheeks. The paw is removed taking with him the corpse of the soldier. The spiders began to shred the corpse and engulf it.

Several soldiers seeing this scene returned in a frantic air and shot the spiders even faster. More spiders climbed the walls and took with them several soldiers.

AH-64A Apache helicopters arrived on the battlefield and began shooting at spiders with their chain guns. The chain guns have done a lot of damage to the spiders, dropping their numbers enormously.

The mother, seeing that she was losing, ordered her retirement, retreating into the forest. Only one Apache chopper followed the horde to find their home, the others returned to the airbase.

The bridge was reactivated and all the ants came out to pick up the bodies of the spiders. Most returned to the Queen and only a few went to Empire College for a thorough study of the species.
