1 Chapter 1: New World

Birds can be heard singing deep inside a forest as a little boy lying under the shade of a tree awoke. He opens his eyes to the world around him, before getting up, and reaching up to his head to find a sizable bump.

[Initializing system… System successfully linked to the host's heart. It is recommended that the host start their first invocation in the invocation tab]

The kid heard a voice in his head sounding quite neutral and monotonous as there was little feeling that came from the voice. Thinking back to all the novels involving systems the kid quickly became joyful, no longer thinking about the situation of being inside of a forest with no one around. Invoking the system interface a prompt immediately opens up.

Seeing this the kid thinks over what to put down for a bit before finding a good name for the required information.

As the system informs the last bit black smoke starts to billow out from Ash before congregating in front of him and taking on vaguely humanoid shapes before the smoke departs revealing ten actual people! Now, these people were not just random people but soldiers in U.S. Marine looking gear and equipment. Each of them were equipped with M4A4 assault rifles with a holographic viewfinder, a Glock 17 holstered by their side, some of the soldiers had incendiary and fragmentation grenades hanging on their belts while two of the soldiers were carrying actual grenade launchers in place of the assault rifles.

As for their outfit, each of them was identical to what the U.S. Marines wear, with helmets that had a module to hang thermal glasses, vests with lots of pockets, with of course pants and shoes which were all sand-colored.

Upon the troop's arrival, they all bow their heads and say in unison, "We salute the emperor". Ash wants to modify his soldiers look a bit as these soldiers looked too much like the U.S. Marines, so changing them to look different would be for the better. As he was thinking to himself the system opens up and sends him a prompt.

[Host can change any cosmetic detail of your invocations, this includes the colors of equipment]

'So the system can read my thoughts' Ash thinks as he checks the new tabs that the system has shown him and changing the colors of his soldier's equipment and clothing to pure black, Ash could even modify each soldier individually so he changed each of them to have matching skin tone as their uniform and he changed the color of their eyes to be red to instill fear into the enemy!

Seeing that Ash could change the looks of his soldiers he began to wonder if he could change how he looked.

"System, can I change how I look?"

[Yes, but the host's modifications are extremely limited regarding the host's body. The host can't change his appearance by more than 10%]

Seeing this Ash is a little disappointed at this but still changes his eyes into a darker shade of red than his soldiers and turning his hair jet black. After that Ash began to formulate a plan, to create an army and conquerer this new world he is in! With the help of the system, Ash would have an unlimited amount of invocations at his disposal.

[The host only has access to the free daily summons of a limited array of items and goods. To gain other summons the host has to perform missions]

"Ah plan change then, system what missions can I do for now?" Ash asks

Mission 3: Become a soldier. Take part in official training within the "training" tab of the system interface. Training completed: 0/10. Reward: ???

Beware some missions can put the host in danger]

'Hmm, I'll start by collecting info that should be easy' Ash climbs up onto a nearby rock so that his childish height was now on par with those of the soldiers.

After clearing his throat to gain the attention of his soldiers Ash speaks, "Alright listen up soldiers you currently do not have anything to defend as of now, but that is going to change! I want you all to help me collect some information about this unknown world here so that you can build something to protect!"

The soldiers once again salute before they shout in unison.

"Yes, your Majesty!"
