15 THE ASSAULT

14th October,2016; 2.00 P.M.

After Dhruv's mom had talked to the Principal and teacher, convincing them to not expel him or file a complaint against him for whatever he was accused of, he was asked to stand in the ground till afternoon as punishment. This was to show other students that bad actions will have their consequences; Dhruv was the example of it. The real mistake Dhruv made wasn't stealing those question papers, it was trusting Raj. And Dhruv was thinking the same while he stood in the middle of the ground below the hot sun, sweating and humiliating himself in front of the whole school. He had become a laughing stock for everyone that saw him. Punishment might have not taught him a lesson but the humiliation surely did, DO NOT TRUST ANYONE APART FROM HIMSELF. He was losing his patience slowly, all he wanted was answers. Answers why these people did this to him? The hot sun felt nothing in front of the burning questions inside him. All he tried to do was help someone, he wasn't afraid; he was just desperate for a friend. At this point, maybe somewhere he was not just thinking of answers but also revenge

Dhruv was supposed to stay at school or maybe on the ground till 3, but his teacher felt that he had taken enough and has proably learnt his lesson, so she let him go an hour ago.He was supposed to go home alone. His mom left the school right after her work there was over. She was furious about the whole thing. So much so that maybe if she had got a chance, Dhruv might have received his fair share of beating. But Ashwini again kept her work above her kid, she had a heated exchange of words with her son but as the talk never reached anywhere else then Dhruv again being called wrong without her believing his reasons, she left. He was losing his patience with every step he was taking outside the school. He was angry with Raj for what he did to him, he was angry with his teacher, Principal and mother for not believing him, he was angry with the students of the school for making fun of him. It was any moment that he burst out in flames and that moment came to him!

He was maybe half a mile away from his school when he came face to face with the person who was behind all this shit. It was Raj waiting for Dhruv on his bike with Yash and Shreyash standing beside him. Dhruv had nothing to lose anymore, all he wanted was Raj to pay for his sins. He threw his bag away and ran towards Raj. He held Raj with his sleeves and dragged him down his bike and smashed him on the ground and started asking him,..

Dhruv: WHY???!!... Why did you do this to me? All I did was help you and you decide to do THIS to me! I did nothing wrong!

Raj (Breathing heavily): Sorry! I had no other choice. I had to get you away!

Dhruv: Get me away?! Why did you want to get rid of me? How have I ever harmed you?! I WANT ANSWERS!!

Raj (Breathing heavily): Believe me, you don't want to!

As Dhruv was in a confusion of what Raj was trying to say, Shreyash came from behind and pulled Dhruv up and punched in the face, Dhruv wasn't expecting it and fell down. As Dhruv was rolling on the ground still trying to process what exactly happened, Shreyash stool on Dhruv and started beating him up, and as he was hitting Dhruv he said,

Shreyash: You wanted to know why, huh? We want to get rid of you because our friend can't stand a sight of you. And it's not just him, we all want to get rid of you. You satisfied? All you need to know is to JUST FUCKING..(Punches Dhruv) STAY AWAY FROM US!!

Shreyash was hitting recklessly without really thinking of defending himself, Dhruv found a loophole and pushed Shreyash backwards. And as he got away from Dhruv, he stood up and was ready to fight. Having learnt material arts was finally paying off, he kicked Shreyash in the chest and he was unable to move for some time, while he stood here holdng on to his pain and his hands on the chest, Dhruv punched Shreyash and he fell down. For once Dhruv thought he has dealt with Shreyash and can finally talk to Raj. But while Dhruv turned and was walking towards Raj, Shreyash picked up a stone and threw it at Dhruv. The stone hit his neck and he was on his knees, Shreyash took advantage of the situation and started kicking Dhruv, most of them aiming for his face but Dhruv's defense was good enough to keep himself protected for a while until holding it become difficult. He somehow managed to roll back few steps away from Shreyash. Now it was a one on one face off they ran towards each other and got into a fist fight with each other.

Dhruv obviously was beating the shit out of Shreyash, he felt like he was going to lose to a nerd until Raj and Yash decided to help their friend. Both of them first tried to get both of them away from each other but Dhruv was out of control, he came towards Shreyash like a charging bull ready for rampage everytime they tried to get him away from Shreyash. But after trying many times they were finally able to hold Dhruv from behind. As Dhruv was being held by Raj and Yash, Shreyash got the chance to recover from the continuous beating he had been taking. With the little rest he got, now he was ready to give it back to Dhruv. He kept punching Dhruv in the face and belly until the point that he is not able to move properly. On seeing their friend having Dhruv all for himself, Raj and Yash left Dhruv and he fell on his face. All of them started kicking and punching Dhruv as he lay on the ground taking their hits, putting his hand in between to save himself but to no use.

He might have defeated them in a one on one fight but three of them all together were just way too much for him to handle himself. As Dhruv laid on the ground taking all the beating, Shreyash decided to level it up! He went on to his bike and brought a Cricket Bat that he had been carrying, he starts hitting Dhruv with it. Raj and Yash were doing this because they were saving themselves but the reason Shreyash was doing this was anger and enjoyment he gained on seeing Dhruv suffer. Dhruv had beaten the shit out of him a while ago now he just wanted Dhruv to suffer. As things went on he said,

Shreyash: HOLD HIM!

Yash: What?

Shreyash: HOLD HIM! You hold him by his hands and Raj, you hold him by his legs. I have some great ideas for this Kung fu Panda!

Little did they both know that what Shreyash had in his mind, was something monstrous! He was going to put a big scar on Dhruv's life, a scar that just wouldn't damage him physically but also emotionally. As he moved forward towards Dhruv, the look on his face started scarying Eaj and Yash. Shreyash hit Dhruv on his head and then pulled his pants down, Shreyash started stuffing the handle of the bat inside Dhruv, Yash and Raj freaked out. Dhruv shouted, cried, did everything he could do to stop his suffering but nothing really made a difference. Both told Shreyash to stop, but the monster did not stop until he was satisfied. Maybe somewhere inside, all of the three enjoyed seeing Dhruv suffer. They might have asked Shreyash to stop at first but they never took matters into their own hands and tried to stop him. They both stood there being spectators to everything. After their little fun, all three took off on their bike leaving Dhruv lying unconscious in the middle of the road.
