1 A Day To Celebrate..

Meliodas's POV :-

It was a calm.,sunny day.. The Kingdom of Liones could be seen in tatters from our last fight with the demons and my so called 'father'..

Still people looled happy,they were trying all they could to.maintain a cheery mood even after surviving several continuous catastrophes..

I'm glad..really glad that Elizabeth's curse was finally broke and that my little brother 'Zeldris' has finally returned to me with his beloved Gelda.Everything is perfect..I wish that Escanor was here with us too,but that's not possible.

But still,its a new start for us,And I could only hope that no more trouble is awaiting us anymore.

"Hey Captain.. You comin'?" Ban asked me as we were invited to the Royal palace to have a dinner for celebrating our victory.

"Oh yes captain! Come join us it will be fun!" Diane too insisted as childish as always.. "It'll be much more fun with you around..Captain.." Says king smiling mysteriously as the sins looked at me curiously,waiting for my answer.

Although I've already decided to call off the idea because I wanted to spend some time alone with Eli..But since they are insisting that much so I couldn't refuse.."I guess I couldn't refuse..Let's go!" I replied..

"You sure are getting more than enough pamper,aren't you?" Hawk said,I know he's sometimes jeleous of my personality but that's okay.. Since, I am the Captain of the world's strongest team of deadly warriors..The Seven Deadly Sins!

I chuckled ,followed by the other's as we went to palace to have some feast! Yum!

....The Royal Palace's Dining Hall....

We were welcomed with loud applauses as soon as the door opened. The first thing we saw in front of us were a group of Royal people wearing their expensive royal outfits. These include King Bartra,Princess Margaret,Princess Veronica and Elizabeth.

They were all surrounded by men guarding them all over.They have smile on their face and a gentle gaze in their eyes..

Come to think of it, the royalty at Liones is sure different from any other kingdom I've ever seen. Back when I was with Liz,that time too the King we were serving was harsh and proudfull like all others. Royalty sure brings you with many advantages right ?

Oh wait..I'm a Royal too right? In that case,Royalty has its disvantages as well you know! Well..that went off topic right?

"Meliodas! You came!" Elizabeth screamed the moment she saw us and came running towards me with her warm smile.

"Of course I did! You think I won't come to Bartra's special invitation?!" I fluttered but suddenly a hand hit my head with a *thud* sound.It was Ban!

"Stop acting..would you? She knows you the most here.."He said in his usual monotone "We're here princess..Thanks for inviting us." He smiled.

"Umhm..I should be the one thanking you! Please come with me.." Elizabeth took us to the table where all the holy knights joined us in the feast with Bartra sitting at the centre seat.

After we had our meal,the atmosphere turned quite cheerful and enjoyable. I got hit several time on doing pervy things to Elizabeth and the others laughed..

"Hahaha.." Before even realising ,I was involved in the environmemt as well.I was feeling very lively,its been a long time since I laughed without any worries.I wish that this momemt would never end.What worse could happen anyways? haha..

*Meliodas...*

A sound suddenly echoed my head and I felt like a wave of strong current felt through my nerves..I could feel an excessive aura..It shivered down my body..Was that fear?

I suddenly stood up from my seat without thinking.I was stunned..This has happened to me several times after I deafeated the Demon Lord but this time the voice was louder and clearer.. What was that voice? Why did I shivered? It wasn't for fear, I knew that for sure.. Yet everytime it happens it makes me shiver..Why the hell?

My sudden reaction stunned everyone and now I was surrounded by the worried gazes of everyone in the Dining hall.

"Cap-Captain? You alright?.." Diane asked me all of a sudden.

[I could feel that aura much closely now..Why is it that it feels so..familiar? ] I was lost in my thoughts that I didn't replied Dianne.My face right now really looked stunned to everyone and me not replying added to their worries..

"Meliodas?" Elizabeth uttered in a slow voice but I didn't heard her either..

[This time.I'm not gonna let it dissapear..]

"Sorry guys..But there's something I forgot to do.. I'll be back.in no time.." I smiled and jumped out from.the big window beside me without letting anyone to response..

........The Dense Forest near Liones.....

Narrator's POV:-

*Gasp* *gasp* *gasp* Meliodas could be seen running through the forest with a serious look on his face.. "Thats a demon.. I can bet on that!" He muttered to himself running wildly as he went close to a small pond near a broken tree trunk.

"It was here..I'm sure.." He said while looking around suddenly the bushes behind him started trembling.

"Who's there?!" He cried in a serious tone.

"Me-Meli?" A soft scared voice answered causing him to cool down a bit. Meliodas went near the bush and peeped only to see a little girl about 7 curled up like a ball.

"So its you again huh?" He smiled as he held out his hand towards the girl but she curled up even more."You look scary.."She said even without looking at him.

"Nee shee shee..So you won't come out like this? Oh right!" He gave a mysterious smile as he checked his pockets "Now,Where did I kept that thing?"He said in a cheery voice causing the girl to open up a bit.

"Oh..Here it is!" Meliodas said as he took out a small roasted bun from his right pocket."Its freshly baked from the tavern I own. Wanna try?"He said as he kneeled down holding the bun in his hand.

The girl came out very slowly,like a snail and stood up.*Sniff* *Sniff* She smelled the bun and looked up only to see Meliodas's bright smile that eased her even more. She smiled in return and snatched the bun from him munching at full speed.

Meliodas observed her for a while ,she was covered in bruises and cuts. Her clothes were all torned and her left eye was a little swolen. But he kept his smile [My serious gaze always scare her off. I should be more carefull.] he thought.

After the girl was finished he apllied some medicine on her eye."Merlin's tricks always comes in handy.." he quitened then spoke again.

"So..What are you doing here?" He asked.The girl thought for a while before answering "Serah came for a mission. A secret one..Serah can't tell you.." she said with a smile.

"Huh..Seriously? That's same excuse again.."

Meliodas has met this girl 4-5 times before.The first time he found her stuck inside a burning hut when he was rescuing the villagers before he even started searching for the other sins again. That was almost a year and half ago. He asked if someome knew who she was but none of the villagers were aware of her presence.

The second time he met her curled inside a cave a year ago. He then gave her something to eat and asked her where she lives and what was she doing there. But the girl gave the reply that she was on a mission which she cannot tell him.

The same has happened several times and everytime she gives the same excuse. He tried a lot to convince her to go with him but she always refuses and runs away.Its not that he didn't tried to follow her but she always dissapears like wind.

"..If it weren't that I've met her before.I would've thought that the aura came from her.." Meliodas muttered to himself "I don't know why but s I find very much connected to me.." As he was lost in his thoughts he suddenly realised that Serah was dissapeared again.

"Not again...Is that a spell she uses to trick me.? Causing me to indulge in deep thoughts..Huh.." Meliodas stood up as he smiled looking at the pond. "I think we'll meet soon..Lil. sis." he whispered.
