On my way to my room, I glanced out of the glass sliding door and there was a monster in my backyard but it was just one which is good but bad because my backyard is fenced off so I can only assume he either climbed the fence or spawned there. The monster was a dog that walked and held things like a human but I'm not sure what it is so I use inspect on the monster and he was holding a spear.

After seeing this I quickly went to my room and grabbed the weapons I owned and used inspect on them to see if there are any enchanted but I doubt it.

Not bad at all. I'll probably use everything for fighting depending on the enemy and the knife will be used to harvest animals or the monsters but I'll use the ones with a higher durability first. After going over my weapons and arming myself with the katana and the combat knife just in case, it'll probably do nothing but better safe than dead. After I armed myself and checked its stats and mine I have determined that I can fight him. I then walked from my room to the sliding glass door and made my way out not silently or stealthy because it's a half-dog so he should be able to smell me immediately And was right after walking two steps out the door he turned to me and prepped to fight holding the spear in both hands. He then charged at me with the spear aiming for my heart. I held the katana near my stomach and waited for the kobold to get closer. As he got closer I swung the sword at the spear to cut it so he wouldn't have a weapon but as I struck it didn't cut and only moved it to the side away from my heart and went into my bicep and through my tricep 'Ding hp 63/100 you have the effect bleeding' Making it to where he couldn't pull it out and I swung down aiming at his head but he dodged to the side and I hit his left shoulder. He then swung his fist at my stomach and it connected and it knocked me back pulling the spear out of my arm forcefully but it's good that there's some distance between us. I used heal on my shoulder 'Ding hp 74/100 mana 15/20' but as I did it the kobold charged at me like he knew what I was doing but I was too late and he struck me in the heart. Man that was pretty anti-climatic I think to myself but as I do I hear 'Ding You get to see tomorrow'.
