2 Rule #1: Fear the Wrath of the Enunch

I whistled as I sat atop the lush pillows on the bed. Next to me was a bowl filled with vividly colored green grapes. I continued to pop them in my mouth as two maid servants next to me cried on the floor. Their tears staining the red carpet. I rolled my eyes.

What a bunch of drama queens. Their existences screamed the word, "BITCH". I was dressed in adorned silks which masterfully wrapped themselves around my body like chains. The shoes which I wore were pinched upwards. By the way my feet were colored blue you could tell that the shoes were a tad bit too small. My long black hair was wrapped.

Yes wrapped.

Like a freaking burrito.

You have not heard me wrong.

My hair resembles a burrito with guacamole, tomatoes, beans, and lettuce. All of this due to the plethora of ornaments and sticks they poked through my hair. To be honest the makeup is on point so I am surely not complaining. But otherwise I look like shit.

I had a laughing fit the first time I looked at myself in the mirror in this new life. Especially so after this weird ass hairdo and clothing arrangement. The two crying maidservants slowly crawled over and held my feet. I jumped back in shock.

"Please Miss. Please win the emperor's favor. Please stop trying to make him hate you. Our lives are on the line."

I looked at their tearful faces. I then smiled and bent forward. The two maidservants were identical twins. The only way I could tell then apart is that Ming, the older one, is a bit taller. And she has a mole over her right eye. Mai Lin, the younger twin usually wears her short hair down and has a mole over her left eye.

I smirked as I said.

"Well my dears, don't you think that you are both being a little selfish?"

The two of then smirked before pulling me off of the bed. I grunted as my body hit the ground.

Why these little-

They scoffed as they looked down at me with pitiful looks in their eyes. They then smirked. Ming said haughtily.

"We tried to be nice to you, but you have taken it way too far. And who are you calling your dears? Sweetie we are known as the devil twins. You're lucky that you're still energetic."

I chuckled as I struggled to get up. I then smiled foxily at the two young girls.

Well, well. I didn't want an entourage that was all daisies and sugar after all. I need them to be just as evil as me.

But my definition of evil is way different than what you are thinking of. I'm not the type of person to sabotage another. Instead I focus my energy on things that relate to myself and to those around me. If it's something that doesn't concern me then I essentially don't give a rat's ass.

I then walked over to the two girls and stuffed grapes into their mouths. They gagged as I smirked. I then pulled them by the collar in each hand. Their small forms struggling as I raised them above the ground. I then kicked open the slidable door next to my bed. The two maids cried out. They kept calling me a "demon" and "madwoman" as I dragged their asses out the door. The concubines and guards which walked along the pavilion watched in shock as I carried the two. To them I looked like a bitch who loves torturing her servants but that was far from true. The sun shone above me and rested on my head as I walked over to the small pond.

Fish encircled as I raised the two angry children. They cried out in protest but I smiled and dropped then in the pond. Their screams echoed across the whole Imperial Palace. I myself chuckled as they came out of the pond like wet dogs. They gasped for air dramatically as I whacked the back of both of their heads.

"Stop acting so dramatic you two. The pond isn't even that deep. Look the water comes up to your knees!"

The two of then glared at me as I scoffed. Well now that I had put then in their place let's dry them.

A couple of minutes later they drank the hot tea which I brewed as they covered themselves in blankets. I clicked my tongue in annoyance from my perch on the bed. Their faces showing bliss as their bodies warmed. I reached my hand over and swatted a mosquito which rested on my elbow.

Like hell that little bitch was going to have a sip of my blood. She better pay rent first.

Just as the two twins opened their mouths, my door was slammed open. I jumped off of my bed and faced a bunch of guards. The enunch led then with a golden fan in his hand. The old geezer cackled as he looked at me and said.

"Well, well if it isn't the 206th candidate? What does it feel like to be reduced to such a state for your actions?"

I looked at my surroundings. I then did the "okay" symbol with my hand.

"Actually I don't see what's so bad about my situation. All I'm doing is sitting on my ass eating grapes."

The enunch's fan cracked open as I popped another grape in my mouth. I then walked over to the guards and asked them.

"Anyone want a grape?"

They all huddled around and popped grapes into their mouths. The enunch reached for one before slapping his own hand. He then cleared his throat and said.

"Continue to live in such a state if you are so content with it. After all the emperor will never choose someone as unruly as yo-HEY PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I'M SAYING!"

I stopped talking to the cute guard as everyone in the room munched.

"Dude, could you like leave? I get that you're here to humiliate me and everything but could we do this tomorrow? I'm really tired today. I've been busting my ass since the morning doing nothing. It does take a toll on you know!"

The enunch's ghastly face flushed. My ears rung at the sound of him clacking his fan closed once more. I looked at the fan.

What a product.

It doesn't even have a crack in it despite all of the clacking. A modern fan would have broke by now.

The enunch "hmphd" before turning on his heel and walking out. I then turned to the cute guard to keep talking to him but the enunch came back and said.

"WHY ARE ALL OF YOU STILL HERE? GET YOUR ASSES OUT! AND STOP EATING THE GOD DAMNED GRAPES!"

Huge guards nodded then bowed to me before leaving my room. I bowed back to them before plopping on my bed.

Never would I have expected the consequences of my actions towards the enunch. I seem to have forgotten an important rule after all as a concubine.

"Fear the Enunch's Wrath".
