11 To The Capillary Mountains

Going to the outside of the small forest Nadia often used for a training grounds which was far from the main house and very few people would come over here the best stop for Nadia to read in peace outside.

She decided to bring out the book of herbs and flowers and such, listing their uses and locations. There was stuff about poisons and medical uses. 'Oh, some of these herbs and flowers are nearby… stuff I recognize too. I can use them to make medicine some which I'll use and others which I'll sell for a profit. It will be the start of making money selling such. How exciting.' Nadia laughed smirking slightly. 'Sigh I don't really want to wait anymore now. I want to get away from this damn place since I've already been yelled at today. Besides I'm defiantly not going to be able to get any food here today at this point since Julian was the one that got mad at me.' She huffed pushing herself to her feet and sneaking back into the house. She got changed into menswear, grabbed her magic bag, throwing knives, and cloak before sneaking back out of the house and back to the forest. She healed her stitched hand so she can do what she wants when she leaves today.

She made her way to the deepest part of the forest near the wall before performing a wall climb and getting over the wall. What she did first (after changing her appearance) was head to town and sell all of her unwanted clothing having a fair amount of coin now she went to a tavern to get something to eat.

"Hey, waitress I gotta question for ya."

"Yes?"

"Is there a carriage that could take me to the Capillary mountains?"

"Not at this current moment."

"Oh is there a reason for it?"

"There sure is girly? A lot of powerful magi beasts are said to be in the area. A transport disappeared last week. I even heard a carriage of a noble got attacked which the servants died and the noble hardly survived."

"Oh yeah, I heard about that noble one. What was the reason they were even there?"

"I bet it was an attempt to kill the noble."

"So you are saying that mountain is currently dangerous?"

"Yes, so I wouldn't go if it isn't urgent."

"I thank you for the information but I'm gonna make my way over either way I need to gather herbs."

"Why don't you wait until someone goes and subjugates them? It's much safer for women like you to do that."

"Thanks for the warning but I'll be alright. Do you think I could make the request? You know since it's open and I'm heading there any way I may as well take it."

"Is that so girly? Just to let you know you do not have to complete it if it's impossible but if you do complete it in the off chance if you bring back proof of the kill, I'll pay you."

"I understand bartender. Thank you for the information." Nadia replied taking the sheet of paper. She waved her hand slightly paying for her meal before leaving the tavern.

She walked down the empty back street and looked down at the sheet of paper. "I bet the thing that's attacking is likely a dark beast made by the devil god. Especially if the semantics of the carriage accident is what I think." Nadia muttered. "Honestly going to the mountain right is a very stupid idea. It's not my job to deal with the dark beast. Honestly I only really got one goal and to fulfil that goal I have a plan in mind." She mumbled shaking her head.

"Sigh… whatever let's just head to the mountain. Teleport Capillary Mountain base." Nadia sighed before snapping her fingers and casting some magic. In the next moment, Nadia was at the base of the mountain… however she ended up on the furthest side from the duke's estate and the capital city. Nadia however a mix of both being unaware and honestly not really caring did not know the fact she was very far from Evangeline's home.

Nadia looked around at the scene in front of her and hummed. "Let's start collecting some herbs and flowers."

With that, she began to walk around the mountain looking at the herbs and flowers picking those that had used to her and throwing them inside the magic bag.

Nadia picked some bay laurel (used for salves), Marigold, purple coneflower, some horsetail, and even Robert geranium. As she was picking the herbs she did know about as well of some herbs that existed in this world that had medicinal uses in this world. Like Nettle Grass, Wolf Clary, Angel mint, and Mountain Sage. She collected a fair amount of herbs some of which so she could sell them later. As she was harvesting she hummed some tunes she remembers from her world that she enjoyed. At some point, she saw a fox with a particular colouration that caught her eye.

She sat on the ground and had her head propped up looking at the odd fox. "Your quite a looker. What a nice sheen on your fur." Nadia muttered while looking at the fox. She had her hand out slightly in front of her as she looked at it.

Nadia had a dislike for her home for the most part, but she enjoyed nature and animals in a general sense, well she defiantly likes it more than she likes people. As she watched the odd fox in front of her with a slightly pleased expression. She eventually noticed that the fox had not only one tail… she counted nine tails. "Oh, you're a magi beast then… are you the one people in town are freaking out over? Or is there really a dark beast in the area."

The fox then turned its head to look at her, as if it has a look of surprise. Nadia chuckled, "what you surprised that I know the truth. That those the normal commerces call magi beast are not magic beast rather they are actually dark beasts. Much more dangerous than Magi beast since they are killer's… meant to kill." Nadia muttered shrugging her shoulder slightly. "Like sure some magi beast can be dangerous like any animal. But I've heard how some people act its stupid… but then again you could probably almost class it as a phobia or something."

The fox then walked over to Nadia and nudged its noise against her hands. It did this till her hand was on its head and it had a pleasing look on its face. "So you want me to now. Alright… wow your fur's so soft." Nadia gasped as she runs her hand along with the fox fur. Magi beast was different from normal animals they were very intelligent not to mention magical. Nadia was enjoying petting the fox with a pleased looking on her face. 'Aaaah, its fur is so soft like the plushies from my world. This is definitely one thing I missed from my world.' Nadia purred as she buried her face in the fox's fur.

"Your fur is the best!" She exclaimed. Nadia was one that loved soft textures, so the fox's fur that was very soft was something she's pretty much fallen in love with.

Nadia who was enjoying petting the fox and the fox who was enjoying getting pet by Nadia were like this for some time till the fox suddenly made a few noises and was looking behind Nadia. She noticed that the Foxes for was bristled telling her it was something that the fox didn't like. Nadia glance behind her the moment she did that a pit formed in her stomach.
