16 Illusion World

Nadia smiled at the lady giving her a false compliment about how the shade worked well for her before leaving the washroom and back over to her dad. As she walked she looked at reflective surfaces that she passed with people near them and each one of them was like that woman. 'But Dad wasn't like that… why? What is going on?' Nadia questioned as she made it back to the table. The two of them sat next to the window so as she walked up once again she looked at her father's reflection to make sure what she saw was real. 'I'm not imagining it. Dad isn't a black mass. I don't have enough information to give a good guess… aside from that this is something like an illusion. As the food is real, the things on my phone are correct.' Nadia thought as she flicked her straw.

Nadia let out a sigh looking at the window she ran her hand through her hair before lifting up the hair hiding her right eye, looking at the familiar violet colour she reached over and tapped the window with her other hand. 'This is glass to the same kind from my world. So it can't be an illusion of my world over Eva's world. I don't get what's going on right now.' Nadia concluded. As she was tapping the window Nadia's Dad looked at the window, more specifically where she was tapping he froze in surprise.

"Nadia?"

"… Yes, Dad what is it?" Nadia asks glancing over at him leaning against her propped hand. He had a look of realization cross his face his silver eyes lit up slightly. He reached out to touch her arm and Nadia looked over at her father with an awkward look. She found it awkward cause they've never been super close for most of her life partly due to him often busy with work. He held his tongue biting his lip slightly it was clear to Nadia that her dad wanted to say something but was holding back at the moment.

"Dia, would you have a problem with stopping somewhere before going home?"

"… No, I have no issue with that, there isn't anything super important waiting for me at home." she replied looking at her dad a little confused. 'Since this clearly isn't my world or Eve's I don't have much of an obligation to do anything so following this person that looks like my dad is no problem. If he plans to kill me I'll just take him out first.' she thought as she finished her drink and went to the car with her dad.

They began to drive down the paved road, since Nadia wasn't the one driving she let her thoughts wander once again and thought about carriages. She's read tons of stories where someone is put in a similar situation as she is, and sometimes they would comment on how uncomfortable it was to ride in a carriage. She colluding deny it as she remembered her few times riding a horse or older bikes as there was not much in terms of shock absorption. 'If this world contains all the information from my world I should read books on a common day things and how it's made to paten and make it in Eva's world to make even more money than what my current set of knowledge could do for me. Creating shock absorption teach in that world will make me a fair amount of money if I get a good sponsor to test out the product and market it as a luxury that I make available to only the very rich in that country. Oh yes, this will work out quite well.' She hummed thinking about how much more refined she could make it will also insuring to make more than enough money for her plan to change Eva's fate.

Nadia took another nap in the car listening to her music (which she greatly missed). After 2.5 hours they finally reached their destination. It was a dense area of forest the car stopped only cause the road didn't go any farther it was fair for people and hard to find but it was a place that Nadia recognized. The two of them got out of the car and begun to walk down the path. 'We aren't going there are we?'

But after some time they reached a large meadow/plain clearing with tall grass flowers, it was at a cliff's edge near a small yet deep body of water. There was a single large tree in this clearing, it was a place Nadia remembered clearly a place of significance and only herself and one other person would know about or now what this place meant. Nadia looked over to a certain spot in particular where a fairly large stone rested. She couldn't help but look at her bracelet she wore as she felt emotional tears forming in her eyes for this sick game they were playing.

She lunged at the man grabbing him by the collar of his shirt lifting him up slightly barring her teeth. "What kind of sick fucking game are you playing, taking me to where my mother died! There is no way you should know this spot! My father probably doesn't even recall this place as he never returned here! So how the fuck do you know this spot!" Nadia growled her nails digging into the shirt and begun to dig into her own skin. "This is the spot nearly 20 years ago that my mother dropped dead, no one except my father is aware this is where she died to do how the fuck did you know to bring me here." she hissed glaring at the man. "I don't even fully recall what happened that day… but I could never forget this dreadful place, especially after having to survive 2 and half weeks alone here after she died."

"Nadia… it really you. I can't believe it's you. You are alive."

"Alive?! What are you talking about! Of course, I'm alive… to my disappointment. What are you going on about? So tell me now before I strangle you to death who you are! Cause I'm well aware this is not my world nor the other world. Also that you are not like everyone else here as you have a true reflection."

"Nadia it is me your father."

"Tsk yeah right, father didn't care that much for me after mother died, I was a disappointment and reminded him too much of mother. He never called me sweetly patted my head, looked at me kindly, he even stopped calling me my nickname after my mother died. I was the abandoned daughter. He probably wanted to forget about mother like she said and despised me for living. He never found out how it was treated like a kid by them I was alone and had to protect my brother from them. Like I would believe after not talking to me for the last 4 years he would actually come and pick me up after getting out of the hospital from that plane crash. He never cared about me so don't try to play the caring father card. Cause he's never been like that to me ever." Nadia yelled tears forming in her eyes as she screamed out her deeper most thoughts about her father.

"Sweetie is that what you thought?"

"Of course it is! I can't even remember him ever looking at me with the same kind eyes as he looked at my younger brother Faroe. He never noticed how much I was suffering, never came when I was sick nor came for my birthday. Not to mention I was told that every day by her. He never noticed the lashes she made, the bruises, cuts anything… not even the wounds I made myself during my worst time." She replied in a sad and hurt tone.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry Nadia. I've been a terrible father your right. I was avoiding home after your mother's death… you remind me so much of her sometimes. But after the plane crash… I realized what an idiot I was when I thought I lost you… I couldn't bear with the idea of not only losing you but also your mother. I shouldn't have been such a coward and pushed my responsibilities to your stepmother. I should have escaped deeper into my work… I shouldn't have ignored you. I know I can never fully make it up to you for being a neglectful father but please could I still be your father… and not cut each other out anymore."

"… sigh. I'm sorry to I took out my frustrations on you just then. Though it's true you've been slightly neglectful to me, but you honestly were not the worse father. Though completely unaware of what happened at home you did step up when I was bullied at school or hurt. So yes you could have been a better father but you never purposely ignored situations that happened that was bad, you are reasonable and understanding. But you never did look at me like Faroe after mother died and we were treated differently which hurt. I also never told you what was going on and pleaded Faroe not to tell you cause I was worried it would make me look worse to you. I bottled things up and hide things from you cause I didn't want you to leave me or look at me different cause out of fear so I am partly to blame for our bad relationship." Nadia muttered letting go of her father's shirt before wiping away the tears with her sleeve.
