4 Escape Into Town

It takes a little over 2 weeks for Evangeline's body to fully heal from the carriage 'accident' during that time she either read or did push-ups to pass the time. No one came to the room except for the maid Gracie that brought the meals for Eva. When Gracie brought the fist meal of the day Nadia would practice magic in a particular transformation spell and after 2 weeks Nadia had mastered it and she told to transform into her original appearance from the other world in order to do things in town secretly from the duke and servants.

With Evangeline's body, all healed Nadia grabbed a cloak and dressed herself in the most plain looking clothing in Evangeline's wardrobe. 'I really have to completely get new clothing, none of this really fits my style.' Nadia thought looking at the clothing. Nadia preferred darker more mature style clothing, and also preferred 'men's' attire over dresses she had little choice when it came to warming a corset since the current time's do not have bras. It was difficult to tie the corset by myself but I eventually got the hang of it. She then went through Evangeline's jewelry boxes and begun taking out pieces of jewelry she knew she would never choose to wear and pocketed them to sell and trade them.

Eventually she found one in particular she remembered from the information that the group of black cloaks that Nadia have taken to calling the council. 'This is the Rivera royal family gem, and seal ring. It seems that Eva's mother gave this to Eva before she died and Eva's been secretly keeping it safe. This will be a useful item later on in my plan for now let's keep it hidden.' Nadia muttered hiding the ring once again. With a small pouch filled with jewels, Eva left the room ignoring the servants that she passed by. 'If they are rude to me I will not be kind either. The policy I've followed throughout my life… except when dealing with clients of course.' Nadia muttered as she made her way towards the nearest door to leave.

She opened the door and took her first step outside since she arrived in this world. She took a step outside and looked around in amazement. It was very pretty different to how things were in her world. 'Some point I should look at the herbs in the estate but I have a job to do today.

As she walked through the estate towards her thoughts drifted slightly, 'I really wish I have my phone, to listen to music as I walk around the estate. Not only would it be enjoyable I could easily ignore pest.' Nadia thought as she made her way toward the group of trees and bushes in the estate. She then noticed footsteps following behind her. 'It seems I have an annoying pest following me.' she noted before quickly speeding up her pace to reach the forest faster and ducking into the trees and bushes. Blending in quickly she watched has her tail walked past her. She noticed her tail had sky blue hair, she knew instantly who that was. 'Aoife… I bet he was chasing after me to yell at Eva.' Nadia muttered well aware of Evangeline's current standing in this house.

Nadia made sure Aoife was long gone before she continued walking till she found a particular tree that was taller than the wall. 'It's been a long time since I last climbed a tree but it shouldn't be any harder than rock climbing on a mountain wall.' Nadia thought as she removed her heels and took a hold of them in her mouth before she started to climb the tree. 'This is harder than expect.' She huffed as she slowly scaled the tree eventually retching the first branch and pulling herself up from that point. She eventually reached a branch that was just higher than the wall and went past it.

Nadia walked along that branch then jumped down from the branch and onto the ledge of the wall, she then walked along the wall ledge before jumping of and grabbing hold of the closet branch before climbing down the tree. With her feet back on solid ground she put her shoes back on and then transformed into her body and used magic to make the clothing fit properly. She removed the hood she was wearing and made her way to the town.

When she made it to town it was busy but nothing in comparison to what it was like in her world which made her feel a little better about coming here. It actually made her feel a little reminiscent of her hometown but she quickly shook her head and walked forward. She went to a few stores clothings (getting dresses that match Nadia's style [darker colours and fairly modest not with a lot of frills], along with some simple clothes and men's clothing), book stores gathering a varying amount of information of this world along with some books for entertainment, then bought some inks papers and charcoal. Thanks to the bag that she managed to figure out how to enchant during that two week period she was able to take back all her things she normally couldn't possibly carry it all back with her, but this bag made it possible.

After getting that done she explored around plaza the busy street stalls. She went over and looked at the fountain. 'they must use magic stones to get this thing to work. Cause they defiantly don't have a water pressure system or things like that to get a fountain to work like on my world.' Nadia thought looking at it closely. Nadia wasn't too worried walking around alone like this there was one thing in particular this world didn't have ad she was happy about and that was guns. But it wasn't as if she was scared of dying, she just had a deep dislike of guns.

Nadia began to go down alleyways looking for taverns and places like that, looking for blacksmiths, and places that mercenaries would hang out she was trying to learn the locations of places like that for later on. It was around then that Nadia bumped into a group of men. One guy grabbed Nadia by the arm. "Hey were are you off to pretty lady." one man slurred.

Nadia raised an eye brow as she slightly glared at the man. 'Drunk already at this time how pathetic.' She thought as she tore her arm from the man's grip. "It's none of your business where I'm going however your comment is flattering, to say the least, ya' drunk." Nadia replied in a sharp tone.

"Come on we'll show you a good time."

"I'll politely decline your offer."

"It's not an offer rather a demand." The drunk replied grabbing Nadia's arm once again, Nadia's neutral face was now showing a deep frown.

"I have no desire to go with you men. So let me go."

"Grab her."

"Ah you sure boss?"

"I said grab her didn't I?"

"May I inquire the reason you've chose me? Is it because as you said I'm pretty or is it cause you think you can get money off me so you are attempting to mug or sell me?" Nadia asked in a chillingly calm voice despite what she just said there was not a hint of fear or worry on her face. 'This is exactly like my body from my world so I should be able to deal with these 3 in hand to hand as I don't have to worry about guns here, but any more people join in and I'd have to be cautious. Plus as a woman they won't be expecting that I'm capable of much.' Nadia sighed glancing over. 'It's just annoying I have to do this in a dress.'

"There is no reason for you to know."

"Aw, I wanted to know before I beat the 3 of you up." Nadia replied with a slight drawl and evil smirk her left eye glinting.

"Wha-?!" The drunk exclaimed looking at Nadia like she was made. But Nadia had no worry on her face rather just and smirk that infuriated the drunk.

'Honestly, I've always wanted to do this to the assholes back home. But getting a chance to do it here is good enough.' She sighed as she shifted her feet position and got her hands up close to her chest then with her left hand she flicked her fingers at them as a taunt to come at her as she had an evil like grin on her face.
