12 Dark Beast: Hell-Wolf

When Nadia looked behind her she thought it might have been another person but that wasn't the case it was something much worse. Something she only knew about thanks to the council, it was a dark beast standing right in front of her. She quickly stood up holding the fox in her right arm and with her left grabbed the sword on her necklace summoning the full size blade.

'Natural enemy to magic, magic beast, and humans. The council said dark beasts and Niukyu are worse than demon's… which apparently also exist. The enemy to everything living and undead, an enemy those of all walks of life. I've still green when it comes to all this… I never expected to run into a dark beast already.' Nadia muttered clicking her tongue in slight displeasure. 'Well no use crying over it, if I die I die. Though I don't care whether I live or die I don't plan on going down easy. I'll go done fighting till the very end.' she smirked as she pointed her sword at the dark beast in front of her.

"I need to get the fox and my bag to safety first. Cause running from this thing is not an option right now.' Nadia thought glancing around the area deciding it would be best to hide her bag and the fox by a tree. The dark beast was still a good 10 meters away so she decided to dash in the bushes and tree's to give her a little more distance and a chance to hide the fox.

The dark beast was not about its prey get away but instead of chasing after Nadia it fired something like magic at Nadia. Nadia reached the bushes when the attack the dark beast fired hit Nadia in the back causing her to fall forward and into the bushes. The attack caused her to let out a yelp of pain as she fell to the ground.

She dropped the fox as she fell, and has become completely covered by the bushes. She let out a slight groan as she forced her upper body off the ground and paused in realization. 'That blast undid my transformation!' Nadia gasped her body was smaller, and decently weaker that what it is when she is in her other form of herself. 'I've turned in to Evangeline. Dark beast can apparently cancel out magic it seems. Damn it this just got much harder. This body is much weaker than my actual trained adult body from earth.' Nadia sighed as she removed the bag from her shoulders. The little fox licked Eva's hand she placed her hand lightly on the foxes head.

"I'm alright, just stay here alright. Dark beast are very dangerous. I have no choice but to fight it." Eva muttered grabbing her sword once again from the necklace and standing up She walked out of the bush with her hood on her head hiding her appearance with the shadow casted from the hood on her face.

'I can't transform again… it's either the magic has a cool down after it wares off or the thing that hit me has made it impossible for me to use the spell again for some time.'

The sword was heavy in Nadia hands while in Evangeline's body it was more a fit to Nadia's body. She had no other choice but to make the sword smaller and hold it with both hands. She faced the large monstrous dark beast. She looked at it head on it large muzzle was dripping with black liquid that looked similar to tar.

The dark beast was almost similar to a large wolf… but it was more accurate to probably call it a chimera or something. For the most part it had a large wolf like body, with horns protruding out of its had, and its eyes was like that of a reptile. Claws that looked more like metal than bones, not to even mention the dark energy just radiating off the beast.

All of Nadia's senses told her that the creature in front of her was bad news. 'Now just how am I going to kill this thing?' Nadia muttered looking at the beast in front of her pushing aside her emotions to get ride of that primal sense of fear the beast was making her feel with its energy alone. She was going up against a hill, she knew that this fight was in no way was about to be easy.

The hell-wolf's (that what I'll call dark beast of this kind from know on) mouth opened revealing its sharp blood coloured teeth (which was likely due to them becoming stained by blood). Nadia's grab tightened around the sword and her feet shifted into a better position. Nadia and the hell-wolf were in a kind of stand off, the first one to attack could very well determine the fight.

It was clear to Nadia that the hell-wolf had some intelligence to be cautious of her. Even if she was weaker than the hell-wolf she was clearly a magic user. A magic user and Magi beast are basically the predators for Dark beast and the Niukyu. We were the most effective against one another. But that more likely put Nadia at an even greater disadvantage.

The hell-wolf's paws shifted causing her legs to tense ready to move at the moment it attacks. 'If I attack first it will likely be my loss even though going on the defensive is more risky. Eva's body is not as strong or as athletic as my original body… and it probably never will be. But either way this body is very much lacking to be able to succeed in my plan but also to fight the enemy.' Nadia thought.

The hell-wolf then lunged forward at Nadia with its claws and fangs. Nadia moved quickly and jumped to the side just barely out of the way of the hell-wolf's attack. Its sharp metal claws clipped her cloak. It then swung its tail at Nadia and hit her side causing her to expel all the air in her lungs and sending her rolling on the ground.
