97 New life new norms

Drops of sweat covered her face . She was tensed . Alisha opened the door when it was constantly knocked . It was Sara .

"My lady .. I apologise for waking you up ."

"No its alright . What's the matter ?"

"It's time for breakfast . Shall I prepare the bath ?"

"Yes . "

"Milk or rose ma'am "

"Combine both . "

"Alright . " A private make up artist and designer was appointed for Alisha . She was supposed to be heavily dressed and look absolutely flawless every single day . She wasn't allowed to do what she wanted . The jewellery and her dresses were very expensive and rare . Judy was her personal designer . Alisha sat before the mirror as she styled her hair .

"This gown is just too uncomfortable . How am I supposed to breathe ?"

"You will get used to it in no time My lady . You are a queen so it's mandatory for you to wear these attire "

"What about these ? I don't want them "She said picking up arm rings . They were heavy and filled with precious stones .

"You mustn't say that . These are passed through generations to the Queens . " Alisha remained silent . Judy continued.

"I understand your condition madame but you must accept your destiny . Like it or not it's your duty to respect this land's traditions and abide to the rules ."

"You are not wrong . Anyways Let's head to the dining hall . I'm hungry . " The dining hall was huge . Unlike Zen's palace this palace wasn't divided and was huge . Entire family would sit together for meal. The rectangular large dining table was made of the finest woods and the top covered with glass. Shu Saura sat in the middle while the other family members took their seats . Marionne was Shu Saura's first wife . She sat beside him and just opposite to Shu Saura in the very end Alisha found a seat for herself and was about to sit when Shu Saura spoke .

"Alisha ! What are you doing ? That's not your place . " She looked at him confusingly. 

"Your place is right next to me . Here " He gestured to his left while Marionne made a  nasty face . She quietly walked to her designated seat and apologised.

"It's alright . You just need some time so relax. " He was being awfully sweet than usual although Alisha didn't seem to spend much time with him . This was her official first day as the queen up till now she refused to meet anyone and eat with everyone . She somehow came back to her senses after having a chat with Sara . Marionne amd Sarasha exchanged glances .

"You are expected to reach the dining hall on time . This won't be entertained again also you won't eat or serve yourself before the king . Didn't Sara mention it while reading the book of rules ?" Sarasha said in a cold tone. Alisha dropped the ladle into the curry
