The Beginning
S.Y. 634, Seto 2 5:09 - 4 Solar Years Later
"Finally, training is over and I can relax! Man, mom really is trying to kill me today, isn't she."
[Twilight, thinking]
"Okay now go take a shower, after you're done you can do whatever you'd like to do for a while. You have till lunchtime."
[Mom, exiting the room]
"Dam Mom really whooped my ass today. I guess I should go shower really quick and I should have time to go exploring as well."
[Twilight, thinking]
After I took a quick shower, I went to see if Mom would let me go exploring. She said yes, luckily, as long as I made sure to make it back in time. That's pretty easy anyway, mom usually calls me right before she finishes. The forest is relatively safe. Mom would never let me go explore it on my own. She thinks I take the road path but, sometimes the forest is just more fun. If she knew how badly I got attacked last week she'd probably never let me out again. I'm not really sure what happened, but I somehow managed. I kinda blacked out, but since that day there's been this weird light in the distance. I asked Mom about it but she said she didn't know, and since then the training has gotten crazier.
She's been training me to be a warrior since I was born. I can take down a few monsters already on my own and survive in rougher environments than most of the people my age. That's why I took a liking to exploring the forest around me. Since I'm my parents, as well as the village's only child, I don't have many other people to play with. Instead, I train in my free time by defeating the monsters that appear in the surrounding forest.
I think I'll start by seeing if I can buy some stuff from the Market Guy, or see if Mrs. Xiga needs something from the forest before I explore. She Can't really go outside anymore on her own, other than to go shopping or take care of her garden. It's winter now so I know she's been stuck at home for a bit, and an added bonus is she usually pays me too. The village is pretty small, and they always seem to avoid or hide from me when my Mom and I visit. Honestly, Mrs. Xiga & the Shopkeeper are the only nice ones.

When I arrived at Mrs. Xiga's House I went ahead and knocked on the door. No one answered though, I began to wonder why it's so quiet, maybe she's asleep. I guess I'll come back after I head to the market. It's not too far anyway.

"Hello today Young Master Twilight, how may I help you?"
[Market Guy]
"Well for-sure you can stop calling me Young Master, but I was wondering if you got any potions or food I can bring into the forest with me."
[Twilight, looking through the collection of items]
"Oh, you're going back in there again today?"
[Market Guy]
"Yeah I don't have much to do today and I've got a couple of hours to kill. So I thought why not."
[Twilight]
"Okay then Young Master, allow me to offer you something much more useful."
[Market Guy, walking behind a closed area]
"Like what?"
[Twilight]
I have to admit I wasn't prepared for what he was going to offer me but at the same time, I guess I should have known. I'm always fighting monsters so what else could it have been.
"So which one do you like?"
[Market Guy]
"I couldn't tell him all of them, and could I actually even take one, if Mom found out she'd probably kill me."
[Twilight, thinking]
"Do you have something that looks like less of a weapon, and more of just a toy?"
[Twilight, asking curiously]
"Oh, I know exactly what you need."
[Market Guy, reaching back into the pile of items]
"Here try this"

"I guess I have no choice, how much?"

[Market Guy]
"Alright, that's not too bad, here you go."

Now that I've got all my supplies I guess I'll see if Mrs. Xiga is home yet. When I finally arrived at her place nothing seemed different so I knocked again. This kid answered the door though which was weird, but I didn't pay him much mind since he said he was Mrs. Xiga nephew visiting from one of the other villages with his parents. He told me that they just headed out a while ago to help her grab some supplies and they'll be back later. I don't think he was supposed to talk to me though, he seemed pretty odd even just answering the door. Like something was wrong. I didn't pay it much mind though and headed into the forest for my adventure. Since it's still only 6:54 S.Q. I've got at least 4 hours before mom calls and tells me to head home. I wonder what we can find and defeat till then.

So it's been about 3 hours now, I've finally made it to level 3, though it did take a while. I've mostly been fighting Mushies & Slimes when I think about it, so I'm not surprised. They're not the only monsters around though, we've also got Woves & Spids, but they're too strong for me right now. As I finished up my last battle the King Slime appeared, he's like a level 5 monster and Mom would kill me if I got hurt, either way I was able to defeat him. To my surprise it seems like there was a hidden cave behind the creature, I couldn't believe I've never noticed it before. The mood as I entered was kinda gloomy, but I couldn't see any monsters so I assume it must be clear, right. As I went deeper in the lighting got worse, I kinda felt blind, then all of a sudden there was a light blue-ish glowing light. Naturally, I followed it, it was that or stand in the dark. I wasn't expecting what I found though, it was an egg, I wonder what creature is inside. I'll take it home, I'm sure I can convince Mom to let me keep it. If not I'll just keep it hidden outside.
