Chaos In The Woods

The night was the coldest it had gotten since we arrived on earth. I was standing with my back against the tree, holding Raven close to my body with my hand over her mouth.

There is this old proverb that states: While the mantis stalks the cicada, he is unaware of the oriole behind him. We now find ourselves in a similar situation as the people of Drop Site were falling unconscious in clouds of reddish-orange smoke.

It all started a few days ago after Raven and I took Hydrazine from the fuel tanks below the dropship. I led my people to find the grounder's camp so that we could slaughter them all. Finish the battle before it ever reached home.

Unfortunately, I found the wrong camp, though my mana sense was peculiarly distorted, and somehow, the Grounders also knew we were there.

----------------------------------

-3rd POV-

Pah! Pah!

The Ngata warriors fired at the treetops, and Grounders fell with great thuds. Though arrows and spears still came in volleys killing two Ngata Warriors. Pent down with trees as cover and a unit of grounders rushing towards them, Mahuta gave his people an order to fire at the treetops while handling the Grounders on feet.

Drawing his sword, Mahuta rushed out to face the grounders wearing panther skulls ass face masks as he slipped incoming arrows and spears.

"Ahhhhhhh!" Mahuta shouted as he made contact with the first grounder. Mahuta went low and slide to the left, dodging a diagonal slash. Mahuta swung his sword and separated the man's arm from his body. In a barely visible stroke, the warrior lost his head.

"He can fight them all!" one of the Ngata shouted at Raven.

"Just keep shooting the archers!" she shouted.

Raven then put her hand on the man's shoulder next to her, then pulled him along with her as she ran to help Mahuta, who was in the middle of a barbaric blade dance.

Mahuta waited for no one as he saw the flow of energy in the battle. He followed the energy and cut down his foes with malicious intent. His mana surged and aided him in every kill. Occasionally his sword would cut through the air, and two men along with it as his razor-sharp mana extended from his blade.

Ching! Mahuta blocked a strike then delivered a palm strike to the woman's chest. She was hurled through the air and died as her body was crushed against a tree under the sheer pressure of Mahuta's palm thrust.

Eventually, the grounders parted around Mahuta and went for Raven and the Ngata warriors. Mahuta noticed this, but still, he killed whoever was in striking distance of his sword until he felt his sword hit a wall.

Looking at the woman who stopped his blade with her barehand, Mahuta noticed that her eyes were black as night.

"What are you?" She asked Mahuta, "Natlooka? Do they even exist among your people?"

"I don't know what the fuck you're talking about, lady. But you should surrender or die."

The woman laughed at him with mockery. "No one can kill a Natlooka unless they have similar power. So, are you really my equal."

Mahuta smirk manically, and his mana surged. The woman that mocked Mahuta now looked troubled as she didn't sense the contraction of muscles in Mahuta's arm that lead to her hand being cut in half.

"H-how?" she stammered.

"I am the chief of chiefs," Mahuta growled as his mana surged again, causing the roots of trees to spring from the earth and crucify the woman over the battlefield. Mahuta surprised himself as he had only been able to use telekinesis and physical enhancements thus far.

The battlefield had come to a halt. All eyes looked on at the crucified woman with terror. To the Grounders, they had seen power displayed by the woman, but nothing ever on the scale of what Mahuta used to kill her.

Mahuta looked over his shoulder and saw Raven with her sword buried in the neck of a Grounder while her pistol pointed at another. He extended his mana, and with the death of the Natlooka, he could finally sense the Grounders without any distortion,

Mahuta sighed as he tallied their numbers. "You would have taken Drop Site if not for meeting me in these woods. You may have even dealt a great blow to Little Creek."

The air became chilly, and the grounders backed away. The unit leader shouted something in their native language, but Mahuta moved faster and threw his sword. His sword flew through the air, zipping from body to body, beheading and skewering Grounders in a bloody and horrific display of power.

When the 100th man died, Mahuta recalled his sword, and he finally knew the extent of his power. His mana depleted significantly after killing the Natlooka women, and the rest of his power was used to control his flying sword. Now he had just enough in his mana pool to enhance himself, but he just couldn't take in mana as fast as he dispensed it.

"Ngata, take no prisoners!" Mahuta shouted, and his warriors pushed past him, coating the earth in brass as the rained fire on the grounders that fled.

Mahuta stood motionless and tall as he evened out his energy. When he was finished, he shouted, "Enough! They're far, and none of you can hit them. Wasting bullets."

"Whoever these people were, weren't the ones that tried to cross the bridge. Anya will be among them. We need to push on and find them," said Mahuta.

"What about them?" a man named Vissina asked,

"Leave them. They will spread stories of what happened here. And when we find the grounders we are looking for, we will stomp them out completely. For now, we take the close of the dead and their weapons. It's getting cold. Probably because of the radiation, I don't know, but this chill is a killer that we have never had to face."

"We can't carry it all, Chief." said a warrior.

" Leave it here in this camp. This Trikru territory. If they find it, so be it. But if they don't, we'll come back for it. Though we will take need their coats to keep us warm." said Mahuta.

"They have blood on them, Mahuta," said Raven.

Mahuta glared at her. They may have kissed, but she was not his woman yet. And the tribe knew this.

"Chief." he corrected her, "And you need to temper yourself. Kill a man, wear a bloody coat. It doesn't matter. Do it or die. So take the coat, because I will not let you freeze to death. Go."

"Everyone, go," Mahuta commanded.

Without a word, his Stag appeared. He held its head and whispered into its ear before it took off into the distance.

For a time, the Ngata stripped bodies and supplies. The stuff was pilled together, and some of the bodies were hung in the trees as Mahuta painted the same blood symbol on each of them.

"What does that mean, Chief?" a Ngata warrior asked.

"I saw it in the database of Earth History. When books were getting scarce, my guard would slip me a tablet on his shift. It's from an African people. It's called Gye Nyame. It's the recognition of the Supremacy of God over all things. To be feared and respected. It is now our tribe's emblem. I like it. Let's go. We have more work to do."

Mahuta took his remaining people to continue the search. It went well into the day, then into the early hours of nightfall when Mahuta found a camp with many wounded warriors present.

The Ngata hid in the brush as Raven asked about the method of setting the bombs off.

"It's dark right now. Each of us will take a jar of hydrazine and set it in the fires that they have going. It should be enough time for you to make it out before the fire sets off the bomb."

"What will you do, Chief?" Raven asked.

"I will be taking ourselves a prisoner. I need a bargaining chip, and I want to know what that woman with black eyes was. And how many more of them exist in the Grounder population. Tupuna always said that they would evolve down here. I will be back here before the place is leveled. "

Mahuta and Raven then handed out the jars of hydrazine, and the Ngata spread out to do their Chief's bidding. Mahuta, on the other hand, moved through the grounder camp until he found the person he had been looking for.

"Anya..." Mahuta spoke. Anya and her closest turned to look at Mahuta, though they saw nothing but the ark of his blade.

Anaya appeared unfazed as she looked at her dead people. "I sent for a Natlooka to handle you. Lincoln told us of your powers, and no one believed him until we saw what you did at the bridge." she said, "Unfortunately, she isn't here yet."

Mahuta raised an eyebrow at the familiar term and the mention of a 'she.'

"Unfortunately, you are coming with me." Said Mahuta as he sped to Anya. He grabbed her, then zipped out of the large tent, Cutting free the warhorses and fleeing from the grounder camp.

When he returned, he saw his people with the exception of three.

"We have to go back for them. Chase is my friend."

"Your friend is a warrior, and the Grounders are starting to stir after I released the horses. They will look for Anya soon, and they will find her advisors dead. We have to go!" Mahuta hissed, and his fas face contorted while showing the whites of his eyes with intensity. (Pukana)

The tribe moved, but Vissina's mind was still with on Chase.

"Faster!" Mahuta shouted for everyone to pick up the pace. But a Hydrazine jar exploded, then another and another. Setting off a chain reaction. Even the jars that never made it to a fire exploded when the flames of the explosion engulfed them.

The shockwaves were so intense it rolled through the forest and sent the Ngata flying, knocking them unconscious in the process. Mahuta was the first to wake up as he could see the smoke in the distance, trees nearly unearthed.

When Anya awoke, she shed tears for her people as she looked at the hellish inferno. She had unequivocally been stepped on and ground to dust by Mahuta. A man she was beginning to see as a demon.

"When my people get here, they will wipe all of you out and fuck your corpses for what you did!" Anya shouted, and Mahuta smacked her silent.

"You will not speak unless spoken to. And you are the second camp that I have eradicated tonight. I am sending your War Chief a message. If she is smart, she will seek peace." said Mahuta.

"Indra has no control of this war. The commander will send an army." Anya spit.

"Then I will break your commander. Tell me, what is the difference between warriors who wear skull masks and those who don't?"

Anya stared in silence.

"Fine. I will make you talk. Or I will crucify you like I did the woman with the black eyes." Mahuta baited her.

"Y-you killed a Natlooka?" she asked, horrified.

"After I cut her handoff. I have dealt with countless people like her. She was nothing before my power." Mahuta baited her.

"We will see how long that lasts." Anya sneered.

Mahuta then knew to expect more of these Natlookas in the future. But he needs to learn more. He quickly snatched Anya's hand snapped her finger. She wailed in pain as she fought against Mahuta's grip.

Anya's wails woke the Ngata warriors as Mahuta snapped another finger. Raven called out for Mahuta to stop. She lurched forward, but the Ngata warriors knew better and grabbed her. They held her back as Mahuta continued to snap every finger that Anya had.

Snot ran from Anya's nose, slobber from her mouth, her eyes and face were red and wet with sweat and tears. She panted, and Mahuta smacked her continuously to keep her awake. She had no idea why he was doing this to her.

Mahuta then broke her wrist, and it sent Anya over the edge. Mahuta gave her a mana coated slap that electrified her body. She wanted it to stop.

"What is a Natlooka?" Mahuta finally asked, and Anya had no fight in her. She was literally broken.

"They are people who are gifted with power. When they use these powers, their eyes turn black!" Anya sobbed and struggled to speak as her words tended to slur together.

"Why black?" he asked.

"It comes from the Shejhda trait in our people. Those who carry it are people of the night. Natlookas are advisors to the commander and her generals. They also have special units for them. Natblidas are raised to be Commanders. Only the strongest can ascend. That is why there are more Natlookas than Natblidas." Anya slowly explained.

"Natlookas. Natblidas...Black eyes, and I'm assuming black blood?"

"Yes. Black blood is the most sacred expression of people of the night."

"This Commander. Indra said she is called Leksa. She has black blood?" Mahuta asked.

"Yes. "

"Interesting. Does she have powers?"

"No. She has the sports of every commander in her body. Natlookas are her to protect her. for every Natblida is born, there is a Natlooka. Though, Natblidas are usually dying to become commanders or are killed so that commanders can stay commanders." Anya explained.

"Who did you send for?" Mahuta asked.

"Lily kom Azgeda and the rangers. You wielded fire, so I called for the strongest of the ice nation."

"Do rangers wear the masks of panthers?"

"No. Those are warriors of the black tooth clan. The hardened warriors of Trikru. But they are not my unit. Ther belong to General Korlax and the sadist Natlooka, Ida."

"Well, they are dead now. And so will more of your people if they keep coming." Mahuta explained before resetting all of her fingers and wrist. This time Mahuta allowed her to pass out.

He then grasped the bottom of Raven's chin and looked her in the eyes. "Whatever it takes," he said. "She and hers are not your concern. These people standing next to you and those in Little Creek are all that matters. We fight, and we live. And sometimes we break bones and listen to the truth in the wails of our enemies."

Mahuta gestured, and the warriors let Raven go.

"You're more like me than you know. We just killed hundreds. Don't you forget that, because of the silly morals of a society long gone. The only morals that matter are the ones that keep us alive and our people in line."

Mahuta put his fingers to his lips and whistled. The woods went silent the distant sound of stampeding hoof, and the snorts of mares could be heard. Thirteen Mares soon appeared led buy the Regal Stag.

"Grab a horse and follow me," said Mahuta. He, too, grabbed a brown horse and sent his stag away to keep the loose war horses corralled.

--------------------------------

24 hours had passed, and the Ngata had finally made it to Drop Site after a long ride. When the Ngata entered the camp with Anya in tow as a captive, they all knew what Mahuta had down. Seeing that he returned with fewer people than he left with, they mourned and took their anger out on Anya.

Mahuta stopped them. He made it clear that Anya was his prisoner, not theirs. Anya was kept in the Dropship with Raven and a guard while Mahuta walked the camp with Clarke and Bellamy.

"I want to tell you how sorry I am for using your name when I spoke to Anya at the bridge," Clarke spoke.

"You should be. These people aren't savages. I could lecture you all day, but the fact is, not all of this world is as pretty as these woods. We are on coveted land. Appreciate it and the people who have kept it while we ran away to space and lived in a metal city."

Clarke nodded her head thoughtfully, and Bellamy rolled his eyes. Mahuta sensed this but allowed him to get away with it.

Mahuta then added, "And I don't forgive you, Clarke. It's not easy being a leader, but you want it to be, and that means you should probably try being a follower for a while. I will be sending Trina here when I return to Little Creek. She will oversee Drop Site from now on."

"No, I'm in charge here. You didn't want to let us in Little Creek. That was your chance to take over, and you turned us away." said Bellamy.

Mahuta chuckled. "It's funny that you think you have a choice." Mahuta stopped and faced Bellamy. "I will dispose of you, little man. The Ark is dead or dying. They will come down no matter the risk. Better to die trying than to give up. When that happens, the Ngata Tribe needs to be its own entity, self-sufficient in every way. Or these people you claim to care about, including you, will go back to being the Ark lackeys. Trina will be taking over."

Mahuta continued to walk, and Bellamy had nothing more to say. Mahuta secretly terrified Clarke and Bellamy. They never knew what to say or how much to say around him. But what scared them the most was that it seemed like Mira was becoming the more unreasonable one of the couple. They had lost their power, and it was evident to everyone.

"Tell me about the inner workings of your camp. And don't bother talking about your food system. The last time I was here, you nearly killed yourselves with wild hallucinogenic berries."

Clarke and Bellamy became Rosey with embarrassment.

Clarke cleared her throat before speaking. "Our bullet situation is improving. Jasper is mixing up more gunpowder. Weapons are made from dropship metal. The outer perimeter is lined with warning systems."

"Lose them." Mahuta interrupted. "Replace them with traps. If you make too much noise, the enemy will become cautious and avoid the other warning systems. Better to just kill as many as possible, quietly and quickly."

Mahuta's voice was cold and uncaring. Bellamy and Clarke shared an uneasy look but complied with a sigh. She then continued. "We have pitched tents for housing, but everyone is starting to move inside because of the cold..."

Clarke went to talk about the tunnel systems, guard rotations, and responsibilities distributed throughout the camp. Meanwhile, Raven was in the Dropship staring at Anya, and she was staring back.

"Why did he keep me alive?" Anya asked.

"I don't know. His mind is his own." Raven replied.

"Hmm. When my lover became the Commander, I never knew what she was thinking either. We didn't last long." said Anya.

Raven frowned at her. "Tell me about this 'Commander.' Maybe she just grew tired of you."

Anya chuckled. "He will grow tired of you. But not that Mira. She has a fire in her eyes, and it will burn as long as his heartbeats. You, oh, you will leave him first. I see sky people in you."

"Sky people?"

"You fell from the sky." Anya said matter of factly, "Tanemahuta is different, and the people who flock to him, mold to his ways. I could tell when I saw his warriors. They were different from when they were in Tondc."

"We are all the same," said Raven.

"No. You sky people are delusional optimists who murder out of fear and ignorance. Your eyes are shakey, which means your soul and will as its expression is shakey. You should tighten up are you will unravel." Anya then looked to the entrance of the dropship as Finn walked in.

"Another grounder for us to torture," he said.

Anya smiled at him, and Raven rolled her eyes.

"What do you want, Finn?" Raven asked.

"Just to talk for a minute," he replied.

"About?"

"Us."

"There is no 'us.' Talk over. Shouldn't you be somewhere with Clarke?"

Finn pursed his lips. "Come on, Birdy..."

Raven smacked the table and drew her blade, pointing it directly at Finn's throat. "You do not call me that!" she roared. "I will gut you from cock to throat. From now it is Raven. When you see me, you are aloof. You don't eye me. Do not smirk, giggle or flirt. If it's not about survival, don't even speak. There is nothing left between us anymore. And if you're here to clear your conscience, we're good. You're only a fourth of the reason I dropped out of the sky."

Raven sheathed her blade and sat back down. She looked at Anya and said, "So tell me about this commander. Is she a bitch?"

"Finn, you can leave now," Mahuta spoke as Finn was still standing in the dropship.

Finn turned around to see Bellamy, Clarke, and Mahuta. Clarke gave him a defeated gesture, and Finn groaned as he left the dropship. Clarke couldn't afford to disappoint the man that seemed to have their safety in the palm of his hand.

When Finn was gone, Mahuta spoke to Anya. He wanted to know more about Leksa, the Commander. With Mahuta present, Anya didn't dare resist, or she would have found herself with more than broken fingers.

When the Drop Site started turning down, and Anya was asleep and bound, A tremendous boom came from the sky and woke everyone. They watched as the ark fell from the sky and separated into many pieces. Some burned in the atmosphere while other parts continued to fall.

Mahuta saw this as a blessing. By the end of next month, his camp would be a small village with all of the technology they once had on the Ark. Raven had then pulled Mahuta away with a string holding together four rolled up orange blanket.

From a distance, Finn watched with a frown. He was convinced that Raven left him for Mahuta and not because of what he had with Clarke. He felt if Raven was okay with Mira and Trina, she would have been fine with Clarke.

------------------------------

Outside of Drop Site, Mahuta sat with his back against a tree while Raven straddled his lap. She played with his hair, and they did a whole lot of nothing as they enjoyed each other's company.

"What's up, Birdy? We've been playing pitty-pat for a while. I know you have something to say. " said Mahuta

Raven sighed. "You took my silence the wrong way."

"Well, you didn't say much of anything that night?" said Mahuta.

"What was I supposed to say, Mahuta?! Like you, I never thought of us. Not after..."

"After what?"

"After Mama died," Raven answered with sadness. " We were thirteen. Mama was teaching me a lot of things. You didn't think I could be that good at Mau Rakau that well without help? She took care of me after Tupuna passed. She told me that I was her daughter, and when I went to the ground, I would have to pass on what you couldn't. She told me that after they floated you because they would, to take the books that Tupuna gave you."

Raven cried, and Mahuta whipped her tears with his thumbs.

"I... I was supposed to be to wahine(your wife). I believed that they would review you at eighteen, then you would come back to me..." Raven sniffled. " Then Mama got sick, and Finn asked me to a dance. I told him, no, and she was so mad. She didn't want me to get hurt when you died, and she told me that. She told me that we would never be. And if we would never be, what was the point of listening to her teachings. Then I had my first period. She was sick and didn't think she wouldn't see any more of my milestones and wanted to give me Ta Moko. I refused. We argued. I said some hurtful things...Mama...she...I'm sorry, Tanemahuta. I didn't mean it."

Mahuta held her as she cried, and tears blurred his vision. "Mama. She died that night. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. I swear, Mahuta. I didn't mean anything I said. I wanted to apologize every day afterward, but she was gone. "

Mahuta sniffled himself and told her it was okay, but Raven couldn't stop crying. It was like a dam had burst, and the rivers had come to fill the valley.

After Raven composed herself enough, she continued. "I was so scared, shocked, and ashamed when you confessed. I didn't know what to say. I was speechless and so in my own head when I should have been telling you that I've loved you my entire life."

"Rember when I said that we could separate ourselves from each other if we don't do this the right way?"

Raven nodded.

"This is the right way. Just talk to me. As long as we're still breathing, we work anything out." Mahuta exhaled heavily, "Also, earlier, you obviously had a problem with what happened with Anya. And we haven't talked about Mira and the baby..."

"There's nothing to say about Mira and the baby. You are a lover, Mahuta. And loving her doesn't mean you love me any less. If I was sent down here instead of you, what would you have down?"

"I would have strapped together a Junker, then launched myself into to space," Mahuta replied.

"Exactly. Ko koe te aroha o toku ora." Raven spoke softly as she brought her lips closer to Mahuta's.

Mahuata grabbed his woman and kissed her like it was their last night on earth. Melting into each other's essence, the world went silent around the lovers, and the intense chill of the night was pushed back by their burning passion.

With a flick of the wrist, four blankets were lead out -one on top of the other, as Mahuta lifted the petite Raven and laid her body down. When they parted, they both inhaled and locked eyes. Everything was in synch down to the beats of their hearts.

Raven displayed another moment of candor. "Finn is the only one I've ever been with," she whispered.

Mahuta put on a soft smile. He stood on his knees and took off his large fur coat, and put it aside. Raven followed his lead, and the couple didn't stop until they were nude under cover of the furs. Mahuta kissed her softly, then broke to whisper his reply. "It doesn't matter. We start now. Until the last star burns."

Raven ran her hand over his chest with tearing eyes. Even with all the tinkering throughout her life, Mahuta grasped her hand with care like they were the most delicate hands in the world. Holding them still against his heart, he said, " If you want my forgiveness, you have it. If you have doubt, extinguish it. Nothing can stop us. And nothing before us matters. I want you to be mine even if I have to bottle the seas and carry the Earth until time stops. I love you, Birdy."

Raven bit her bottom lip as she smiled. Mahuta felt her strength when she channeled all of it pull him into another tryst of lips and tongues. Mahuta's large hand palmed her supple tits with surprisingly yet, pleasantly large nipples that stood at attention, eager to be touched.

Raven moaned while Mahuta massaged her softness. The way they caved under his touch, to the movement of his fingers, and electrified her spirit. Raven desperately sucked his large tongue as his hands found her treasure down under. Dipping his fingers in her sacred pink chalice, stirring the plentiful elixir that increased with her excitement and love.

In a matter of moments, Raven's sweet waters spilled over her aroused rim. Never had she left such evidence her feelings, yet, never had she fell so intensely into the throws of passion as she had at this moment. Her body had sent her a message of thanks and acknowledgment in the form of her translucent nectar of arousal.

Mahuta stirred and thrust his muscular fingers in to her wanting pussy. Raven's body arched toward the heavens like the divine and sensual bow of cupid. Her mouth agape, singing the silent song of enchanting pleasure and unfettered sensation. Mahuta reached deeper, caressing her most acute jewel.

It was like Mahuta was had knock an arrow pulled her bowstring taut. His finger shifted, and Raven inhaled sharply. She was suspended into time as the arrow flew to the top of the world and exploded and in the most dazzling light of the ages. Her toes curled in delight. Her body went stiff as her nails dug into Mahuta's forearm, holding him in place as an awe-inspiring upsurge drenched his palm, turning them soft under the crush of climatic satisfaction.

Raven's body eventually relaxed, her bow like archers faltered, and she went limp. Mahuta grabbed her up and took caution as Raven was far more petite than Mira. He helped her legs around his waist as he aligned himself with her heavenly entrance.

He waited until her breath was reigned in and brought under control. Raven's glazed eyes then looked up at him. " I want to fill you." she spoke in Maori, " I want to be loved in the way that made the Gods of Mythos envious of humans. Fill me, Tanemahuta. Touch me in the deepest way my heart can understand and fill the heat my Looooo-vvvvee ahhh...ooh!!!"

Mahuta thrust home and buried himself like a great sword in a sheath crafted as pairs. He then pulled out half-mast and trusted forth again. Intense and passionate with bold intent to etch his love in the core of her essence.

Raven's head snapped back, jerked forth, her eyes went big once again, linking with those of the man that was all for her. Foreign and refreshing, she bathed in his shower of affection. Moaning in happiness and euphoria. Raven held on and rode the buck of his strong hips. Strings of orgasms rippled through her ass stretch furthered than she ever had the pleasure of feeling.

Her emotions and being untangled and willfully braiding itself into Mahuta's heartstrings, Raven's hips began to push against his advances, and together they melded, taking themselves to new heights. Climbing inch by inch to the apex of being. For the first time, the sky above illuminated. The eastern skies of the North American continent were painted with the mesmerizing beauty of the Aurora borealis as an empyrean clash of climaxes exploded!

Raven and Mahuta held each other as they cried out towards the lights of heavenly expression, shooting through the gates of heaven to its twelfth and most high layer of paradise. Mahuta was baptized in her sacred waters as he bathed her core with his most stimulating milk of life.

A meter off the ground, the lovers remained conjoined in the loving embrace of the highest and most intense point of their union. Mahuta's mana embraces Raven, warming her against the cold winds as they slowly descended back to the mortal plane.

When their minds cleared and the strain of blissful contortions had subsided, Raven released a satisfied exhale as she cuddled next to Mahuta under the large fur coats. He eagerly pulled her close as their foreheads and noses pressed together, giving them a more profound sensation and far more affirming ratification of their love than any kiss ever could.

"You did well." she hummed as the sun began to rear its head.

Mahuta chuckled. "Did I?"

"Yaass!" Raven giggled, "I mean...hooo... Your mana is too strong. I don't know how Mira does it."

"She puts in the work...You know her." Mahuta laughed as he squeezed his returned lover.

"We should go look for..."

"Shhh!" Mahuta shushed her.

Raven was about to speak again until, Mahuta scooped her up, and the two were suddenly against a tree, hiding, ass fighters dressed in chemical suits and gasmasks moved on Drop Site with assault rifles. Raven's eyes went wide as the soldier fired a grenade launcher, and pink smoke began to rise from within Drop Site.

Mahuta quickly bent down and gathered Raven's clothes. The lovers hurriedly dressed, and Mahutra dragged her away. They ran through the woods when Mahuta suddenly pushed Raven aside as a volley of bullets came rushing past.

"Bird! When I take them on, run as fast you can. When you see Koura Kīngi, you ride him. Hold on tight, and he will take you to Little Creek."

Raven nodded in understanding, and it was almost like Mahuta blipped away as he attacked the masked men. When he appeared in front of them, he ran his bladed through their assault riffle then cut them down. He was fixing to dash towards Drop Site when...

Pah!

"Ahhhh!" Raven scream as a built went through her back.

Mahuta turned around, leaped from tree to tree, zipping through the forest.

Shink! Shunk!

Two men died, and Mahuta pursued Raven. He couldn't let her go alone, so he had to forsake Drop Site.

When Mahuta caught up, he leaped onto the Regal Stag just as Raven was about to fall off. He held her tight and pushed Koura Kīngi to his limits as a stampede of horses followed. But the misfortune wasn't over as the lovers appeared to a similar sight—smoke coming from Little creek.

Mahuta's Mana sense could show him that the soldiers were carrying his people and handing them to ugly deformed mean that looked as big as Mahuta.

Mahuta pulled Raven off his Stag and laid her on the ground. He drew his sword and went after the giant men me first. Mahuta followed them into a cave and found his people packed into large metal carts on ancient train tracks.

Mahuta whistled and got everyone's attention. They drew their weapons, but Mahuta was already gone. He then reappeared to deliver a kick the caused a man's head to explode. The men gasped in shock, but Mahuta didn't pause as he massacred everything in the cave that was not apart of his tribe.

When Mahuta exited the caves, he was drenched in blood. A single taste made his body rage with power, and his mana surged. He knew whatever was inside those monstrous-looking men was the cause of their immense strength and disregard for pain.

To his left, he sensed a man walking towards a hurt Raven. Channeling his mana, Mahuta appeared like the wind and drove his hand through the man's chest, taking the man's heart along for the ride.

Mahuta looked at Raven. "Just a little longer, Birdy. I'm not finished yet."

At Little Creek, masked fighters waited around as their monsters were taking too long to return.

"Who are are you?" the blood-covered Mahuta appeared, and the fighters shuddered as they raised their rifles and fired though they hit nothing.

"We need to leave now! He's --"

Shink!

Pah Pah Pah Pah!

Gunfire rained, but their comrade's bodies still dropped as Tanemahuta became one with the forest and massacred them all, except one. That one man was fumbling his magazine, trying to reload as the sun was finally high enough to shine light through the trees. Mahuta looked like a blood daemon and his eyes. He soon gave up trying to reload and just begged. Mahuta stabbed his hand into the man's gut and squeezed, turning his intestines to mush.

"Grraahhhhhh!" the man wailed, but no one came to his rescue.

"Where are you from?" Mahuta asked one last time.

"M-m--Mount W- w--weather!" he let out a stammering cry.

Mahuta angled his hand and thrust upward to snatch the man's heart, then crushed it. Mahuta grabbed the man's radio as he heard voices from it, then threw the man aside.

"Is this Mount Weather?" Mahuta spoke into the radio, but they remained silent. If Mahuta could see them, he would be able to tell that they were a nervous wreck. Never had they lost an entire team on one mission. At the same time, losing a handful of men miles away. They all wondered if Mahuta was ever knocked out.

"Fine. Don't speak. Trikru told me that you watch everything. I didn't really believe them, but here you are. I want you all to know my name so that you will know who is haunting your dreams and who will kill you all." Mahuta released the radio button. Still, they did not speak.

"Love and Dirt!" Mahuta spoke in Maori.

"I am Tanemahuta Ngata from the City in the Sky. Paramount Chief of the Ngata Tribe. Son of Awhina Ngata, Grandson of Manaaki Ngata of the Blue Shore and Red Reef, a descendant of Supreme Chief Kahurangi Ihaka Nagta of Polynesia. Drop Site and Little Creek are mines! I will have retribution for this night! I will strike down with a great vengeance and furious anger! And your mountain will be no more!" Tanemahute spoke in English so all could understand him.

And if anyone knew their history of the world before the bombs dropped, which they did, they knew that Mahuta's grandfather was the Grandson of the Supreme Chief that united Polynesia after the world tried to take over their islands for water during the droughts that began in the 2040s. Supreme Chief Kahurangi Ihaka Nagta of Polynesia was ruthless to the world and lived for his people. When the time came, he fought for his people to receive spots on the Australian Space Station to escape the Nuclear Apocalypse.

The man who was in charge of Mount Weather knew he had fucked up.

"Love and Dirt!" Mahuta spoke in Maori again. "You have defiled both!"

Meanwhile, miles away on a great plain, near a grand lake, surrounded by trees and a mountain, Abigal Griffin, Clark's mother who was believed to be dead, opened a hatch and climbed out of a piece of the Ark.

Spending her entire life on Ark Station, the sunlight was blinding, and her first breath of fresh air made her feel like she was breathing for the first time.

"Tell me what it's like." Chancellor Jaha spoke over the earpiece she had on. Unfortunately, to send his people to Earth in a last-ditch attempt at survival, Jaha had to stay behind and sacrifice himself.

Abigail gasped in amazement as she took in the beauty and absolute wonder of the new world. "It's... Everything I've ever dreamed—so much green. There are trees everywhere. And water. And the air. The air...smells...sweet. It's so beautiful. Thelonious, you should be here." she spoke with brimming joy.

At the same time, Councilmen Kane climbed from the hatch. Shortly after, Callie Cartwig appeared as well. All three experiencing Earth for the first time in their own ways. Until Kane noticed a great smoke cloud rising from the woods.

"Abby, look." he spoked.

Abby and Callie turned to take notice of the same smoke plum.

"There's smoke in the distance. That might be another station. We'll check it out." said Abby

"You do that." said Jaha over the earpiece, "Find the rest of our people, Abby. Find Clarke."

Jaha then took out his earpiece and began to wonder about the lonely metal tomb above the earth. On the ground, Callie was staring intensely at the smoke cloud as she thought of her daughter.

"It could be, Mira. Our kids could be in trouble," she spoke, fearful.

At the same time, Bellamy was searching around Drop Site as Finn was waking up. When everything went down, Finn and Bellamy went outside of Drop Site to talk about Mahuta. Finn wanted him gone, and Bellamy wanted his camp back. When Drop Site was attacked, Finn ran to the tunnels, but once he was in, the gas knocked him unconscious. After a moment, Bellamy followed him and met a similar fate, sparing both of them from the Mountian Men.

"Somebody took them," said Bellamy

"The Grounders. More of their crazy-ass concoctions." Finn growled. Clarke was gone, and his delusional notion of 'the Grounders mean well' suddenly vanished.

"Then we have to get to Little Creek. If they're still around, we need them," said Bellamy. "And they have to know that Mahuta was taken."

"Pshh. Mahuta and Raven weren't in camp. They probably got away." Finn spoke angrily.

------------------------------

Across the woods, a unit of Trikru warriors moved through the woods to the site of the smoke plum that Ark people noticed. It was the site of the Triku camp that Mahuta blew up. They were the reinforcement that Anya sent for, led by a fierce renowned General and an even more lethal Natlooka(Black eyes), whose steps cause the green vegetation and moist, fertile dirt to freeze over.

When Mahuta began waking people with his Mana, he ordered them to gather everything. They were to move as one Tribe towards the nearest Ark crash site in hopes of finding Raven a doctor. Mahuta wasn't skilled enough to remove the bullet without causing permanent damage.

The woods were becoming lively, and they were soon to be nourished with showers of blood and flesh.
