9 Chapter 9: Betrayal?

The white-robed villager is tied up and thrown next to the rest of the captured scouts. The player who captured the villager comes up and reveals himself as Ren. The leader congratulates Ren for leading them to the forest, while another player, Tommy, asks Ren how he knew the scouts were in the area. Ren replies he simply had the feeling. While the three were talking, the lead scout rips the ropes holding him and runs. However, he does not see a Resistance player in front of him, and is injured. The leader orders the rest of the clan to head back to base, then strikes his sword at the scout.

Boop and Grian travel for a long time in search of a hospital. After travelling across forests, beaches, and snowy areas, Grian asks Boop how much further they have to go. Boop looks at his map, which was empty. Grian becomes annoyed when Boop doesn't answer, and yells at him. Boop claimed he was following Grian, annoying Grian even more. Boop, not wanting to be blamed further, passed the map to Grian.

As they continued arguing, a Toju came up to them. The two flees, but the Toju immediately catches up to them. The Toju introduces himself as Charile. Grian gets a flashback on being blown by a Toju, and is frightened, but asks Charlie if he knows the way to a hospital. Boop tells he was advised by his brother to never trust Toju's. Charlie loses senses and yells at himself to blow the two up. By the time he came back to his own senses, Boop and Grian are startled. Boop tries to talk of not trusting Charlie, but Grian says that Charlie is their best option to find a hospital. The annoyed Boop then follows Charlie.

While the trio walk to find the hospital, the zombies watched them from a distance. As they think on how to capture them, the witch appears and orders them to give him some room. The witch waits for some other time to attack, knowing that attacking now would cause Charlie to explode, and his explosion would attract other Tojus and players into the area, and the targets will escape while the witch is cornered. It is revealed the witch needs to kill Boop, since he has the Azieb item's, and also because Hazuki is also alive. The witch orders the zombies to attack the two at the right time, and make sure they don't reach the swamps.

Meanwhile, the white-robed villager is thrown in a prison, where he meets an old villager. The white-robed villager asks where they are, and the old villager explains they are at a training camp of the

Resistance. The white-robed villager asks why the players captured them. The old villager explains that players have joined forces to overthrow the NPC King, and the conflict has led to a war between villagers and players.
