23 『23』

"Before we start, I'd like to introduce you guys to Hana." I said.

Hana walked out from behind me and waved at the class.

"She'll be with us since I don't have anyone to take care of her so let's treat her nicely." I added.

The five students were looking at Hana with surprise in their eyes.

"SO KAWAII~" said Alice.

The blonde girl immediately got out of her seat and rushed over to Hana with her arms spread out. Before she could reach my daugh- Before she could reach her, I picked her up by the shirt and shook my head.

"Go back to your seat." I said.

The blonde girl made her way back to her seat and sulked.

"If you guys want to hug her or anything like that, you must get permission from her first. Remember, if you do something without her consent, I'm not as nice as Shizue and I will punish you." I said.

This feels like a mother protecting their child...

"You guys got that?"

The 5 students nodded.

"Great."

Looking at their faces, I could tell it was going to be quite hard to get their trust.

Well, I could understand why.

So let's do something everyone hated the most, a test.

It was said that nobody liked tests even though I don't know anything about it.

But this test was important to them.

"We'll be doing a test." I said.

There were voices of complaints but I had to.

'This test is important for you guys." I said.

"We're all going to die anyways, what's the point of studying?"

"That's right, the other teachers just let us play as much as we want."

"We haven't studied at all since we came here."

"I want to read picture books more."

"Who do you think you are anyway?!"

The blonde hair girl's personality sure switched up quick.

"Well, it is good to have so much energy. Even if this is called a test, this should be fun for you guys. "

""Huh?""

...

We were now outside in the field.

"I'll give you guys a chance to vent out your frustration so you guys will be doing a one on one mock battle with me."

"The time limit is 10 minutes, if you can defeat me in that time, you win."

"Well? Easy enough?" I asked.

They all nodded their heads in understanding.

"Ryota, you'll be the referee." I said.

"Huh? O-okay." replied Ryota.

"Well, then. Who would like to go first?" I asked.

"I will!" said Kenya.

"Ara, ara. The hot headed orange haired boy is going first?"

"Now pick your weapon." I said.

There was a desk with a sword, a spiked mace, and an axe on it.

"We can use these?" asked Kenya.

"Un, but if I beat you, you have to show me some respect." I replied.

"Ha! I've never lost to anyone but Shizu-sensei!" said Kenya.

"Talk big once you've beaten me." I said.

Hopefully this will use of some of the magicules in their body.

"What will you be using?" asked Ryota.

"Hmm, what will I be using?" I walked over to a tree and picked up a broken branch, "I guess I'll use this."

"Is that okay? You're going up against someone with a sword." said Ryota.

"Thanks for your concern but it's fine." I said.

"I-i see. Begin!" said Ryota.

He rushed at me and swung his sword at me. I dodged his swings as he kept attacking me. Although his friends kept cheering him on, he was missing all of his attacks due to my dodging.

"Ha! Ha! Ha!"

He started swinging at me faster but his accuracy was a bit off.

"Stop dodging!"

"Fufufu~ You move pretty well but it'll be another thousand years until you can beat me."

There were small tears forming in his eyes as he suddenly stopped. He closed his eyes, let out a yell, and swung his sword. Fire swirled around the sword as a fire erupted and went towards me.

Dodging the fire that was shot at me, it soon dissipated right after. The fire kept erupting from his sword as he kept swinging it towards me, it was slow so I was easily able to dodge.

Though the fire seemed a bit too weak, I could see the magicules in the fire. Perhaps he should try striking me with raw energy instead?

"Try striking me with raw energy instead of relying on your flames." I said.

"Shut up! The techniques Shizu-sensei used were awesome!" said Kenya.

With that said, he brought his sword back and swung at me harder, a stronger shot of fire came at me and I side stepped quickly to dodge.

"T-times up!" said Ryota.

Kenya was trying to catch his breath after the spar while I stood there looking at his magicules. Although it only decreased by a little, it still decreased.

"That's that and you better call me sensei from now I on."

"Damn it!"

...

"Who's next?? I asked while Kenya was crying and running away in the background.

Oh well, he'll recover.

Next was Chloe Auburt, she always had that book with her. Her friends were telling her to be carefu. I tilted my head, perhaps she was frail? Though she looked normal to me.

"Begin!"

I still had my stick with me while Chloe raised her book, she isn't going to throw that at me...right?"

"Flow of water, ensnare my enemy. Water Jail." muttered Chloe.

Water erupted from her feet as it started coming at me, it swirled around my feet before it covered me in a circular shape. It really was a water jail. The water was spiraling around as I look at it amazed, this girl might be a genius compared to Kenya.

"I can make blades of water rain down on you from there." said Chloe.

That's when blades started appearing on the spiraling water, not bad.

"If you admit defeat, I'll cancel them. If you don't you'll die."

Was she trying to threaten me? I've already died once so there wasn't much to lose except for this life, and this life was pretty fun but I don't think I'll die ever again. Plus, when did kids this age say stuff like that?

"Hey! What's the problem? Just admit defeat!"

"Nice, Chlo-chan!"

"G-good job!"

"Well done!"

"This is impressive, but it won't work on me." I said.

I used one of my orb's abilities which is allowing me to pass through anything, unaffected. I walked through the spiraling blades of water and walked out unharmed. Once I came out, they had shock on their faces. Something like this is easy, I turned the ability off as I made a smug grin mentally.

I walked over to Chloe, "You use magic well, keep studying it." I said patting her head.

That's when I felt an intense stare from somewhere, looking over, I saw Hana glaring at me from the shade.

When we made eye contact, she pouted and turned away.

I felt my heart shatter for a second.

Mentally sighing, I made a note to not give headpats around Hana since she would get jealous.

Can't I also pat her head instead? Wouldn't that work?

"Times up!"

Right when Ryota said that, Chloe started crying. But I had to do this to show the difference in skill between us.

Unknown to me, there was a light smile on her face.

Next up was Gale, I wonder what type of magic he'll be showing me.

"Don't hold it against me if you die." said Gale.

He's still saying that after he saw what I did?

"Well, that's if you can even lay a single attack on me." I replied.

"Watch me!" said Gale.

A bright yellow orb appeared from his palms and shot towards me.

Magic bullets, not bad.

"This isn't enough." I said.

Pulling out the stick from before, I waited until the perfect moment to strike the orb.

Once it was close enough, I made a swift vertical motion and the magic was cut in half but the stick exploded into pieces.

"A stick was able to beat your magic, you're still too weak." I said.

"Eh?? How's that possible?" asked Gale.

"Who knows? I'll tell you one day if you become stronger than me." I said.

This was something I actually didn't know, perhaps the stick was blessed?

"No fair!"

...

Next was Ryota, I was interested in what type of magic he'd use. He was basically the opposite of Kenya, more timid.

"Ryota, avenge me!"

That's when Ryota's appearance changed, he had sharper teeth, red eyes, and a green flame covered him.

Transformation magic? Body enhancement magic? It was either one of those unless there was something else.

He let out a loud yell before charging at me. He tried grabbing me but I sidestepped as he crashed into a tree.

"Must've hurt." I muttered.

But he got back up and started launching himself at me. Although he was quick, I was much faster. Maybe if he went against anyone but me, he might've stood a better chance. But losing your composure in a battle is a bad thing, so that's already a no.

With one last yell, he launched himself at me. Right before he could catch me, I sidestepped and he crashed into the wall.

Well, he'll get up sooner or later...

...

Last one was Alice, the blonde haired girl.

"Looks like it's my turn."

"Yeah, is there still anyone else?"

"Shut up! You useless losers better take a look at Alice Rondo-sama can do!"

Isn't she a bit too confident?

She pulled out 3 puppets from who knows where.

"Everyone, take her out!"

The bunny, bear, and cat came at me. I dodged it's useless attacks as it came at me. Puppetry, with this ability, she might be the strongest if used right.

Right before I was about to cut all of the puppets up to make her cry, the time was up.

...

They lined up with sulking expressions as I looked at them.

Although at the start, the energy in their body decreased a little but now I don't think it even decreased at all.

Well, there is someone who can save them anyways.

"As you guys learned, I'm strong, stronger than all 5 of you combined. And don't worry about dying, I promise someone will save you. Just not now since they're busy." I said.

"Why should we believe you?" asked Alice.

"There isn't a reason to believe me or not. Though I swear on Shizue's name that there will be someone to save you, just not now." I said.

The 5 students whispered to each other for a minute before turning their attention back to me.

""Alright, we'll trust you.""

I smiled at them.

"Well then, let's move on to the next important event." I said.

I told them to go to the classroom to wait for me.

As they walked out of my vision, I went to where Hana was sitting.

Once I was close enough, she backed away.

"Is my little kid jealous?"

"Nope!" pouted Hana.

"Fufufu~ Don't worry, you're still my favorite." I said.

I walked towards her and patted her head.

"Now then, let's go back to the class. I have something important to tell them."

"Fine." said Hana still pouting.

...

I was now standing in front of the desk with a piece of paper in my hand.

"What is that in your hands?" asked Kenya.

"This is what we will be doing the next few days." I said.

"What is it?" asked Alice.

"I'll tell you once you add the Shinju-sensei, you guys are now my students after all." I said.

"...What will be doing the next few days Shinju-sensei?" asked Chloe.

I was a bit surprised when I heard her but nevertheless, I told them.

"We're going to have a competition with Class A, we're going to show them how good of a class we are despite just getting together." I said.

"Eh? Class A? We're just Class S, there's no way we'll win against them!" said Kenya.

"It's about a week from then, we can train and work together to build chemistry alright?" I asked.

"*Sigh* First day of being our teacher and already got us into a mess." said Alice.

"Oi! This will be fun, plus you'll be able to see new places." I added.

The class thought about it and sighed in defeat.

Fufufu~ Let's see how they'll do...

...

It was about night time and we were back into the inn.

"Hana, is something wrong?" I asked.

We were currently in bed and Hana was at the edge of the bed, clearly avoiding me.

The answer I received was silence.

....

"Ara? Is it because I didn't pay enough attention to you?" I asked.

I saw her body tense up for a moment and I knew I got it right.

"Sorry about that, I had to since I was the one who wanted to teach them for a bit."

I reached out to her and pulled her to me. Her back was against my stomach still though.

She didn't object and let me.

"I'll pay more attention to you from now on, I might forget since I'm sometimes too focused." I said.

"Hmph."

She faced back towards me and snuggled in my chest.

I smiled at the sight.

I kissed her the top of her head, "Goodnight."

At this point, I already accepted the fact that I'm her mother but I don't know about Hana.

Oh well, I'll know when the time comes.

Soon enough, I drifted off to sleep...
