Chapter 80 After the fight

I return to reality with Milim in my arms.

By that, I mean I'm carrying her like a sack of potatoes. Although I WOULD have carried her in a princess carry, she sneakily ate the meat bun I threw at her just before she fell unconscious.

Therefore I'm carrying her over my shoulder. Gender Equality. And no, I'm not salty.

Shion- "Rimuru-samaaaa!"

Shion leaps at me with open arms… to which I sidestep and catch her by the collar of her clothes before she faceplants into the ground. She looks over her shoulder with a pout.

I'm sorry, Shion, but I'm carrying someone right now…

Ranga- "Are you hurt, Rimuru-sama?"

Benimaru walks up normally with Hakurou, Soei and Ranga walking beside him. Ranga asks me a question with a worried expression while Shion stands back up.

Rimuru- "Never felt better! [Cancel Pain] made it so I didn't feel any hits Milim got on me, and all the damage I took is gone thanks to [Infinite Regeneration]."

Yes, Milim got a couple of grazes on me. Do note that all of those 'grazes' would cripple me if I had a human body. It's a good thing I'm a slime.

Benimaru- "In anycase, it was a wonderful battle, Rimuru-sama!"

Hakurou- "Your strikes could use some work, but… it was acceptable. Wonderful work as always."

Soei- "Umu."

Soei, as always, is a man of few words.

Suddenly, I feel an ominous aura from behind me. My face turns serious and I turn around… only to come face to face with Mikoto and Illya, the former being the source of the ominous aura and the latter is just giving me a blank look.

Rimuru- "Y-yo, Mikoto, Illya… what's up?"

Did I do something wrong? Maybe it was something I said?

Mikoto- "Rimuru... What did you mean when you said that flat-chests have an advantage in combat?"

Mikoto looks at me with the top half of her face is covered in a shadow. She's smiling, but her eyes aren't, and her lips are twitching. Furthermore, her cheeks are flushed since she's feeling a bit embarrassed talking about this.

I quickly look at Illya for some help, but she just smiled.

Illya- 'You're on your own, Onii-chan.'

Traitor!

And so, finding no way to deal with this, I tap into my inner Joestar… and use their secret technique.

[Dominate Space]!

*Pop!*

I pop back into my house in the living room, Milim still hanging over my shoulder. Feeling a bit bad, I gently lower her down onto the couch in front of me.

Shizu- 'Nya~'

Rimuru- *Screaming like a bitch*

*BEEP*

I gently lower Milim down onto the couch in front of me.

Shizu- 'Nya~'

Rimuru- "Mmm? You're here, Shizu?"

I look to my left and see Shizu curled up on a cushion, lazily looking at me with her golden cat eyes.

I don't ask HOW Shizu got here, all cats have the mystical power to appear and disappear at any point in space they wish. It's a passive skill that even Veldanava had no control over.

Shizu- 'You caused some trouble with the other two again?'

Rimuru- "Mikoto and Illya? Yeah. Though Mikoto seems to be a bit more affected by what I said than Illya…"

Shizu- 'Hmm…'

Shizu closes her eyes and goes back to sleep. She really likes sleeping. Normally I would be annoyed at her doing nothing but do what she wants. But whenever I think that she might only be doing this because she couldn't while she was human… That she was reborn as a cat because of those feelings…

But who knows, really. It's just a theory that has NO ground to stand on. It's more of a random thought than anything.

I walk forward, sit down next to her, and just start petting Shizu. I scratch behind her ears and play around with her flaming tails, all while she's purring. I do this for a minute or so before I stop, stand up, and walk towards Milim.

Rimuru- "You ready to wake up yet? Or are you gonna keep pretending?"

Milim's face breaks out into a smile and her eyes flutter open, revealing her sky blue eyes. She sits up and crosses her legs, taking a sitting position on the couch.

(A/N: Hey, you, you're finally awake.)

Milim- "Ehehe. You knew?"

Rimuru- "Hah! You're one of the strongest beings in this world! There's no way you would get knocked out for long even if your body were cut in half. I sensed you waking up less than 5 seconds after I knocked you out, and you just 'played dead'."

Milim- "Well, I couldn't help it! I wanted to see if you had any bad intentions, so I pretended like I was still unconscious."

RImuru- "Oh, I see… And what's the real reason?"

Milim- "I wanted to see if you had any more of those delicious fluffy white things…"

Milim looks down while touching her fingers together, before looking up at me.

Rimuru- "…"

Milim- "…"

Rimuru- "… Heh. I see you're a woman of culture as well…"

*Clink!*

After saying that, I place down a plate of steaming meat buns on the coffee table in front of her.

Her eyes shine and she immediately digs in.

Milim- "What the hell this is so delicious!"

Her pupils became replaced with stars as she processes the RAW POWE- *Cough* deliciousness of a meat bun.

Halfway through the plate, with meat buns in both her hands and a full mouth, she asks me a question.

Milim- "Hey… *Gulp!* How did you knock me unconscious anyways? *Nom!* My barriers didn't even break…"

Rimuru- "Don't talk with your mouth full. As for your question... you didn't know? Every humanoid being in the world has a weak spot at the back of its neck. Gently chopping it will knock them unconscious."

I mean, it happens all the time in anime. It's common knowledge stuff.

Shizu- "*Sneeze*"

Shizu just sneezes before nibbling on the meat bun she pulled from god knows where.
