69 Chapter 64 Gabil got hired

Gabil and his men finally arrived! All 100 of them. I'm not sure if that's a good thing and I'm starting to have second thoughts on accepting him as a subordinate, but I'm sure he will prove his worth.

… Maybe…

I also see Souka there as well, so it's not all bad.

Rigurd and Benimaru are already here. Rigurd is making beautiful Jojo poses as always while Benimaru…

Benimaru- "Kuh!"

*Rattle* *Rattle* *Rattle*

His weapon is rattling in its sheathe. Or rather, he's clutching his sword like crazy, causing his hands to shake. Looking at his face like he's in agony, I have a feeling that he's having some sort of internal crisis.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that he's probably hesitant on whether to outright kill Gabil right here and now.

Meanwhile, Benimaru is having a conversation with himself. Appearing on his left shoulder is a Benimaru wearing white garbs with white angel wings and a halo. Meanwhile on his right shoulder is a Benimaru with bat-like wings and a thin tail holding a pitchfork.

Benimaru- "I want to beat this guy up…"

Devil Benimaru- "What are you hesitating for!? Just stab him once or twice! He won't die from that… probably…"

Benimaru- "But…"

Angel Benimaru- "Yeah, what are you hesitating for! Beat this guy into the ground!"

Benimaru and Devil Benimaru pause and look at Angel Benimaru.

Angel Benimaru- "… What?"

Benimaru and Devil Benimaru look at each other and shrug.

Benimaru ended up letting go of his weapon and began cracking his knuckles while walking towards Gabil.

Rimuru- "Wai- Stop!"

I jump forward and grab Benimaru's shoulder as he was walking forward. He pauses, looks over his shoulder to see me before standing aside.

Benimaru- "Rimuru-sama! I apologise. Did you want to beat this guy up first?"

That's what he thinks I stopped him for!?

Rimuru- "… Yes. But not now. Let me talk with him first."

Benimaru- "Understood."

I walk past him towards Gabil who is now admiring Rigurd's poses and taking notes.

Umu. It seems he has grown.

Gabil notices me out of the corner of his eye and quickly turns to me while packing away his notes.

Gabil- "Ha ha ha! I, Gabil, rushed over here for the chance to serve you!"

How the hell does one make a request of servitude sound so arrogant, I will never know. I guess it's a natural talent of Gabil's.

I just look at him with dead eyes, causing him to gulp before immediately kowtowing.

Gabil- "Please let me serve you! I have had a good meal in weeks! I've let arrogance corrupt my head, but I swear it will never happen again! We will serve you as your loyal servants, so please!"

And he begins begging. *Sigh* I'm really having second thoughts on this…

And so, be began explaining his situation. It seems things went as planned, his father kicked him out of the house and exiled him. The 100 or so men that were serving him decided to follow him in exile out of their own free will and now, after getting lost lots of times, they're all here.

Hearing this reminded me that, regardless of how he acted, he was indeed a good general that his subordinates loved.

Souka took this chance to speak up.

Souka- "It may not seem like it, but he does regret his actions. Please at least consider his request and grant him a chance to atone."

I just stare at her. She begins to think she said something wrong and starts to get fidgety. Traces of sweat begin to form, and just when she decides to apologise… I shake my head and ask her a question.

Rimuru- "I'm sorry, but what are you doing here again?"

She falls down on her face.

I knew she would be here but I forgot exactly why. I doubt she got exiled. [Raphael] could tell me why, but I felt like I just had to ask.

Souka breathed a quiet sigh of relief before answering me.

Souka- "Unlike my brother here, I have not been exiled. I am here of my own free will. My father Abil sent me out to serve under you and learn more about the world."

Oh, I remember why she followed Gabil now. There was also the fact that Abil sent her to watch over him if I remember correctly. From my memory, Abil is ready to accept Gabil back from exile depending on his actions. But no one said anything to Gabil so he would learn from his actions.

Gabil- "Eh!? You didn't follow me out of respect!?"

Gabil jumps up from his kowtowing position and looks at Souka like she just called his mom fat while teabagging him in Call of Duty.

Souka- "I do respect, you, brother. But I'm more attracted to Soei-dono. If possible, Rimuru-sama, please give me the chance to serve him."

It seems it's not just her, but a few other lizardmen are here of their own free will looking to serve under Soei as well. During the battle with the orcs, I sent him to rescue Abil and it seems he killed quite a few orcs on the way, saving many other lizardmen.

I look over my shoulder to our resident quiet bishounen.

Rimuru- "What do you think?"

He looks at them before turning back to me.

Soei- "Can I use them however I wish?"

Rimuru- "Mmm. Go ahead."

Soei- "Then I gratefully accept."

He walks up, grabs Souka by the neck, and dragged her away with a few other lizardmen trailing behind him. Meanwhile, Souka once again is looking up at Soei with stars in her eyes.

… They should be fine…

I turn my attention back to Gabil.

Rimuru- "I'll let you and everyone else serve under me on one condition…"

Gabil- "I will do anything!"

Rimuru- "Great! Then, stand straight with your legs apart."

Gabil- "Right away sir!"

And so, he stood there in a horse stance.

Gabil- "By the way, why do I need to do this?"

Hehe boi…

I walk towards him with a menacing face. His few smart subordinates realise what is going to happen and begin to pray for his soul. Rigurd and Benimaru, who also realise what is going to happen next, also clap their hands together in prayer.

My right foot rears back.

Rimuru- "Behold! My ultimate move! No-more-descendants kick!"

*Crack!*

On that day, many civilians throughout town swore they heard the wails of a dying banshee. Meanwhile, a cold breeze swept between all the male's legs, causing them to shiver and cover their family treasures.

During that ordeal, they also felt the urge to pay respects to a fallen soldier, and wish him peace in the afterlife.

So yeah. Gabil got hired.
