8 Father Spider

In the outer region of the Star Dou Forest, a little blue silver grass was wiggling around a rabbit. The rabbit was trying to get to the other side while not touching any of the blue silver grass around it.

Not too far away from him, a spider which was as tall as 3 meters was laying down on its back as it slowly opened its mouth.

Mu En: " Haizz! Isn't the life of a spirit beast pretty boring? It seems that those who could not handle it try and become a human after cultivating for hundred-thousand years."

20 years had passed by since he started mastering the Dao of Cliff-Hanger, Mu En had not been able to do anything. He lied down for a few months but as a human in his past life, life as a spirit beast felt pretty bland to him. It was easy for Xiao Ya as she had nothing in her mind rather than playing.

But, Mu En was an old man, he couldn't possibly play, could he?

At that moment Mu En decided to somehow find a way to become human. He did not want to become a full-fledged human but only get a skill that could turn him into a human. He knew that even if he became a human, there was a chance that he could get hunted before he became rank 70.

As only after becoming a rank 70 spirit master could a spirit beast become a human fully. And while he may not be able to become a god when he was a spirit beast. At least he believed that with his knowledge of the future, he could get his hands on something that could give him near infinite lifespan.

But first and foremost he planned to get something that could help him easily overcome the lightning tribulation. He needed to find a plant called Thunderclap Nether Vine.

It was a creature born with wisdom and known as the strongest plant-type spirit beast. There's was a saying that the Thunderclap Nether Vine was a plant that had the Thunder God's bloodline.

Its habitat abounded with frequent lightning strikes. It could only grow under the rain with lightning all around. Its body grew stronger with every lightning strike. A hundred lightning strikes were equivalent to a year's cultivation for ordinary soul beasts.

A Thunderclap Nether Vine with a 100-year cultivation base could attract the lightning strikes in a storm to accumulate a hundred lightning strikes overnight.

A Thunderclap Nether Vine with 10.000 years of cultivation base could even alter the weather. It could summon lightning to strike the human realms and destroy everything in the world.

However, the Thunderclap Nether Vine also had its shortcomings. Since it had to continuously improve itself, it would keep on absorbing the lightning strikes. Up to a certain point, the lightning absorbed would become destructive. Usually, they would self-destruct between twenty thousand to fifty thousand years.

And as he had got plant type cultivation from Ah Yin, he could now devour a plant to increase his cultivation base. So what Mu En needed to do was find one, which he did after searching for 20 years.

He did not expect the Thunderclap Nether Vine was inside the Star Dou Forest!

According to his estimation, the plant he found was about 10,000 years old. It was also due to this that he was able to find it in such a 'short' period. (A/N: They are supposed to be rare as heck)

Mu En then got up then called on to Xiao Ya.

Mu En: " Kiddo, I am going to do a bit of cultivation. So it might take some time, don't go wandering! These days the number of humans entering the forest has begun to explode for some reason. I will not be here to protect you, so beware!"

Xiao Ya ear perked up but she looked a bit depressed.

Xiao Ya: " Granpa, can...you take me with you this time around."

But knowing Mu En might reject her she hurriedly continued.

Xiao Ya: "I-I promise to be a good girl."

Mu En sighed deeply but he warned.

Mu En: "Alright, I will but Granpa is going to fight some strong spirit beast. So you must hide in a place where they could not be able to see you. If you can do that then I will take you with me. Deal?"

Xiao Ya nodded her head at blinding speed.

Xiao Ya: " Deal, Deal, Granpa, its a deal!"

Mu En then looked at Little Blue, who s surprising looked as if he had lost all his energy. Mu En thought that Xiao Ya might have bullied Little Blue with her limitless energy so he reprimanded her a bit.

Mu En: " Look, Look at what you have made of him. Don't burn him out. Think if he can handle it too."

But Xiao Ya looked confused.

Xiao Ya: " But, he looked fine a few minutes ago.."

Mu En could only shake his head.

Mu En: " Little Blue look out for yourself. You heard what I said just now right. Now then I will be leaving. Take care of yourself."

Seeing the weak wiggle of Little Blue, he turned around and left.

Outside of the Star Dou Forest, a young man and woman were standing in front of the entrance to the Star Dou Forest.

The young man looked as if he was in his twenties. He had copper-colored skin and was standing two meters tall. With pitch-black hair that was short like steel needles. His muscles were bulging, if one were to look at his eyes, they would see a domineering beast who was ready to pounce on their enemies.

The women on the other hand was starkly different than the man. She too looked as if she was in her twenties. She had tender white skin with a bit of pink glow. She had long blue hairs that could give the viewers the feeling of watching a calm river flowing down the hills. She had a slim and thin figure but that just added to her charms. Surrounded with long blue eyelashes, one would see kindness in her eyes, but deep within them, they appeared as if those eyes had comprehended divinity.

They were Tang Hao and Ah Yin.

Tang Hao looked at Ah Yin as those fierce eyes instantly turned into that of like a puppy who can't wait to play with his hooman dad.

Tang Hao: " Dear, you said you wanted to make me meet with your father. But you brought me here. Don't tell me, that your father lives here, and is he also a spirit beast?"

Ah, Yin had already told Tang Hao, her love, about her being a spirit beast but surprisingly Tang Hao still insisted that he loved her no matter what. So Ah Yin brought him here to have Tang Hao meet with Mu En.

Even though she had only called Mu En as an uncle, she believed he would love to have a daughter.

Ah, Yin giggled at Tang Hao's surprise.

Ah Yin: " Of course, I am a spirit beast so my father is also a spirit beast."

Ah Yin had no parents and knowing that Mu En could be a father figure, she decided to take his blessing so that she and Tang Hao could get married.

Ah Yin then grabbed her hand and led the way towards her home.

Ah Yin: " Not only that I also have a little sister and little brother."

Tang Hao could only feel his heart thumping more and more.
