Xiao Ya told how surprised Xiao Wu was at that. But alas, Xiao Wu could not stay for long. She had to find her mother. So she left.

Mu En was disinterested at the fact, it was not much help that she was not here right now. Though he was a bit happy that his granddaughter boasted about him, he did not want to do something bout it. But alas, Xiao Ya over boasting led him to trouble.

Xiao Ya: " Just 7 years."

Mu En was furious when he heard that.

' Idiot! Do you even have a brain?'

But knowing she was just a child with not much intelligence, he calmed down. He put down Xiao Ya and said to her.

Mu En: " Then we cannot find her. You see Xiao Ya, even though we spirit beasts live for a long time and 7 years does not seem like much it is a very long time.

During this time, she could have found her mother too or she could have gotten hurt too.

So we cannot find her alright. Also, I don't even know her energy signature. I know you are good at it but your range is not very large. And we all know how big Star Dou Forest is!"

Mu En's worry was reasonable. Even though he could fly around. It was impossible to find Xiao Wu. Though Mu En could also detect life signature he had a range of only 20 kilometres.

Xiao Ya ran towards Little Blue and started crying violently. Mu En could only sigh at that. He knew the kid was like that. If they could not get what they wanted they would start throwing a tantrum but Xiao Ya still was not at that level, so she just went to a corner and cried.

Mu En knew he had to make her happy again and he decided to let her in on the news that they will have a new home soon. He strode towards Xiao Ya as he consoled her.

Mu En: " Come on, don't cry, will ya? And here I was so happy to tell you that we will be getting a new home soon."

Xiao Ya long ears stood up as she tried to listen on the news carefully. Mu En knew she was hooked, so he just left at that.

He was a bit proud. He was mastering the Dao of Cliff-Hanger in real life.

On the other side of the forest,

Swoosh!

Screech!

A 10-foot tall snake rushed at a small pink rabbit.

The huge snake-like bull said with concern.

Da Ming and Er Ming looked at each other before they nodded to each other.

Er Ming: " I am sorry to tell you, but we saw mother getting eaten by a strong spirit beast. It was a Dark gold Dread Claw Bear. Even we were of no match to it. We are sorry."

Xiao Wu felt as if her whole world fell off. She could not take it anymore and lost consciousness.

Da Ming & Er Ming: "XIAO WU!"
