After team 7 got back to the village and reported the mission, Hiruzen was impressed to say the least. Fighting the S-Ranked nukenin Zabuza Momochi and having no casualties on the team? he was really impressed with that.
After they got dismissed, Kaede went to the forest, where she normally trained.
When she got there, there was a little brown haired girl sitting on the middle of the clearing.
"...Touka?" (A/N: Tora is a female, don't blame me, blame the wiki)
"As expected of Rimuru-Sama! Being able to recognize me even without seeing me in this form before!" The girl excitedly replied as her tail start to swing from one side to the other rapidly
'Aw shit, here we go again...' Thought Kaede as she begun to explain to Touka exactly what she explained to Blizzard before, who btw, was now living in her house.
Nodding repeatedly, Touka replied
"I see, I see. Then it is Kaede-sama-nya" Still excited, Touka answered
"Nya?" Asked Kaede, not knowing if Touka did this on purpose or if it was natural for a humanoid cat to say so
"...It slipped"
And just like that, Kaede had two new subordinates: Blizzard and Touka
While absent mindedly petting Touka who purred in delight, Kaede began to think
'I have two subordinates now, using some illusions I could make them pass the ninja academy after properly faking their backgrounds and all, and have they complete my team, so I can get out of team 7 already...
If I remember correctly I have more or less a week until the Chunnin exams, If I can do that, it would be way easier for me to do what I have planned for the exams...
Convincing Hiruzen to let me take the exams with those two to 'give them experience' may help, but what do I do about the last member of team 7?...'
Kaede was in a kind of tight schedule, as she couldn't afford to be in the village by the time Itachi and Kisame came after Naruto, But she also really needed some things that she can only get in the village, so she was in a rush

The next day, Team 7 was waiting for Kakashi at a bridge when Naruto asked
"Nee, Kaede... Why do you wear this bandages around your neck all the times?"
Though Naruto isn't one to ask such things, after a month in the same team as Kaede his curiosity got the better of him
"Ahh, this? It is just a good memory that I wish to keep..."
Kaede replied with a 'sweat smile' that made Sasuke nervous
'Okay... not ominous at all...' He thought as he remembered what this so called 'happy memory' was exactly
"Oh... I see... It must mean a lot for you then no?"
Sasuke and Kaede were really surprised this time, Because it doesn't matter how dumb Naruto may be, even he would know that this wasn't true.
""Sigh"" But seeing Naruto's honest face, both Sasuke and Kaede could only sigh at his naivety.
"What are you two sighing about?" Kakashi asked as he FINALLY arrived, only 3 hours late today
"Nothing..." Kaede replied
"NotHNing" Sasuke replied
"Huh?" Naruto... Naruted
"...Well it doesn't matter, now here take this"
Kakashi decided that it wasn't something important, and handled them 3 papers
"Kakashi sensei, what are those?" Naruto asked and Kaede had to fight back the urge to say 'Papers'
Unbeknownst to her, both Kakashi and Sasuke also had the same problem right now.
"These are your forms for the chunnin exams, I recommend you 3"
"Chunnin exams?" Naruto asked and began to look at the form on his hand
"Kakashi sensei... I am going to participate alone? isn't that unfair?" Kaede asked as in the form it was written that her entry was a solo one
"Good thing that you asked Kaede. not only your, but Naruto and Sasuke's forms as well are solo.
Since this team is just a temporary team, the third Hokage made it like that so you 3 could enter the exams and decide by yourself if you would help each other or not."
'... Oh well, I can't complain if it helps me out right? I will just need to have Blizzard and Touka ready to leave the village by next week then since different from me, they need to eat and drink to survive... though water isn't a problem when I have [Water conjuration]...'
"No questions? Good.
Then if you wish to participate submit those forms at the academy, room 301 one week from now"
Kakashi explained and was about to flicker away when Kaede called him
"Kakashi sensei"
"What is it Kaede?"
"When will Shizue sensei come back?"
"In about ten days, I think"
"Okay, thanks"
Kakashi nodded and flickered away
why does he seem so occupied when clearly everything he does the whole day is read his questionable books and stare at a grave as if it would bring the dead back if he did it for long enough? I dunno
Sasuke begun to walk home, as he just like Kakashi didn't have anything better to do
"Hey Naruto"
"Hmm? What is it Kaede-chan?"
"Can you show me where the Ichiraku is?"
Kaede has been staying at konoha for a while now, but she didn't get to eat at Ichiraku's before because she was poor,
but now that they completed a b-ranked mission, although the pay was of a c-rank one, she wanted to eat there at least once before leaving the village
Naruto's eyes shone like gems at the mention of Ichiraku's
"OF COURSE KAEDE-CHAN! COME QUICKLY, I WILL EVEN SHOW YOU THE BEST RAMENS THAT OLD MAN TEUCHI SERVES" Naruto excitedly exclaimed and started to walk at incredible speeds towards the Ichiraku's
On their way there, Kaede noticed a squared shaped box, painted like a rock following them
Naruto also noticed it, and after some minutes of this, he had enough
"Konohamaru I know that is you, there is no such thing as a perfectly square rock!" Naruto said while dramatically pointing towards the box on the side of the road

"As expected of you boss, you managed to see through my perfect hiding spot so easily!"
Kaede didn't know if the kid was hiding his embarrassment or if he truly believed his hiding spot was perfect
"Boss, who is she? is she your girlfriend?"
Before Naruto could answer, he saw Konohamaru go pale and his legs started trembling violently, following his gaze he saw a confused Kaede with a question mark face.
What Naruto didn't know was that Konohamaru was under the effect of a genjutsu.
"Uwaaaaa!!" He screamed as Kaede dropped the jutsu and begun running at a random direction, not looking where he was going, he ended up colliding with someone else.
(A/N:I know that was supposed to happen before Kakashi told his team about the chunnin exams and whatnot, but I changed it to better suit the plot)
"Hey! look where you are going brat!" that said person screamed as he held Konohamaru by his shirt
"Hey! Put him down!" Naruto seeing that, didn't remain silent
"Make me" the boy shot back with a grin on his face
"*whispering* You sure you want that?" Kankuro hears a whisper on his ear that sent goosebumps to his entire body, Immediately dropping Konohamaru who ran away as soon as he could, Kankuro turned back only to see Kaede behind him
'I didn't even see her moving...' He thought with cold sweat flowing on his back, as this girl could have killed him just now
Sand began to rise by Kaede's side and turned into a red haired kid with a blank expression that said
"Kankuro, Stop shaming our village"
"But Gaara-" Kankuro tried to argue, but Kaede's voice interrupted him
"Indeed, don't forget you aren't in suna right now"
Kankuro got really surprised as the 'Kaede' that almost gave him a heart attack just now liquefied into water and Kaede's voice came once again from his back
'It was a clone!?' he screamed in his mind
As Kaede turned around to leave, she hears Gaara's voice once more
"You, What is your name?"
"Kaede" She answered before flickering away, leaving behind Naruto who was quite awkward right now
'Uhh... weren't we going to Ichiraku's?'
