89 Meeting of the gods

Meanwhile, in the main hall, the debris began to rise up in the air, and converge, forming a throne of sorts. When the throne had been fully formed, Malum sat on it, and looked down on the congregants, who were now kneeling on the ground.

"Now now, what do we do with you?" asked Malum, while looking at his worshippers. His voice hadn't gotten any better, in fact, it seemed to have gotten worse.

"Blessed be Lord Malum, trickster of the wise, prankster of the ages …" began Madalyn. Her voice was quivering, and she was shaking a little. She continued, "Thank you for gracing us with your presence. Do you find the vessel to your liking?"

"NO! Would you look at this?" shouted Malum, as he showed Madalyn the cracks on Rizaneth's hand.

"…"

"This vessel is just too weak! Whenever I try to use a piece of my power, the vessel breaks down!"

Madalyn grimaced, before frowning deeply. Where on this planet was she supposed to find a vessel powerful enough to contain the full power of a god?

"Lord Malum, we tried to find the perfect vessel for you, but all the vessels we found were not compatible with your power! We--"

"Kekekeke. Trickster's anvil!" after Malum finished saying that, a black anvil literally fell out of thin air!

Madalyn, managed to dodge the anvil which crashed into the floor, causing a large dent. She flinched even more when she saw Malum smiling at her.

"You managed to dodge. Kekekeke. How long can y--" before Malum could finish his sentence, the door to the main hall burst open, and a white haired, middle-aged man walked into the hall. The man was wearing glasses.

Behind this man, were three other people. One of the people was a middle-aged woman with long, neat silver hair. The remaining two were wearing black cloaks with silver and purple designs.

"Pardon my intrusion, Lord Malum", began the white-haired man with a bow.

"Kekekeke. Rokkai! Aah, now I have one more person to prank", replied Malum, with his not-really-evil laugh. Malum turned to the woman behind Rokkai and said, "As for you … I wonder what's the best prank to play on you. Hmm … Should I send a message to your grandfather--"

"Ahem. Lord Malum, we are grateful that you consider us to be important enough to prank. However, there is a reason why we are here. You see, Lady Prud--" Rokkai interrupted, but before he could finish, another black anvil fell out of thin air.

Rokkai managed to dodge the anvil, which fell where he was standing, destroying most of the floor. With a frown, Rokkai took out a small statue. This statue depicted a woman with long hair, wearing a long dress covering her toes, and starting from her shoulder.

"Lady Prudentia, ruler of the third realm, we humbly request your presence!" Rokkai threw the small statue upwards.

CRASH! KABOOOM!!!

Golden lightning crashed from the moonlit sky, into the temple, before striking small statue. As the lightning flashed, a golden beam of light filled the hall, surging upwards, emanating from the small statue.

The crowd gasped when they saw this.

In a matter of minutes, the small statue grew until it was human sized. It then began to come alive, and before long, it looked like a human being in terms of appearance.

Malum frowned. He was not expecting this.

"Greetings, Malum", began the now alive lady. She had long golden hair, which somewhat glowed in the dimly lit hall. Besides the white dress she was wearing, she was also wearing a laurel wreath, making her look divine. Her eyes were glowing with a golden color. However, in that golden color, there were white dots connected together into a circular shape.

"Prudentia … It is not nice to see you, especially in MY TEMPLE!" replied Malum, with a frown.

While the gods were squaring off, Reeve was walking up the stairs. After finding the seven missing students, he had to look for something to cover them, since they were all naked. He had sacrificed his robe to cover the first girl, and then found the rest naked too. In other words, he had to look for more robes. Last time he had found some robes in an intermediary room. So, all he had to do was head to that room and retrieve a few of the robes to cover the girls.

However, as he was walking, his heartbeat started slowing down. He started feeling time slowing to a crawl, and then there was the feeling of intense power building up inside him. If compared to anything, it was like having a lot of air filled up in his lungs, except this feeling was closer to his heart.

That's when it happened. A dark beam of light surged into the sky, creating a visible phenomenon. The beam enveloped him completely, hiding him.

"Oh … it appears we have another visitor", said Prudentia, with a smile.

Malum frowned even harder, before asking, "Why do the two of you disrespect me so much that you would appear in my temple without my permission?"

"We know what you are planning, Malum. Actually, it is more appropriate to say I know what you are planning. As for why he is here … we can ask him", replied Prudentia.

"Kekekeke. Or I can actually destroy both of your vessels, and kill your seeds too", spoke Malum with a chuckle.

"As it stands, your vessel will disintegrate before you accomplish that."

While they were still speaking, a figure came out through one of the inner doors of the temple. The figure had short, wavy black hair … which looked as if it had been dyed with something. It had stitches on its face, and its once red eyes were now black. Inside those black pupils, there were three white dots, which were connected by white lines into a circular shape.

"Greetings everyone, why the long faces?" began the figure with a chuckle.

"Greetings Obitus. We were not expecting you", replied Prudentia, with an enigmatic smile.

Malum clenched his fists before saying, "Now, everyone should start explaining what they are doing in my temple!"
