With the grass field trap plan already set in motion, Yao Zi then steadily returns back to his hideout, and patiently waited for any unsuspecting wild spirit beast to step foot into his unnoticeable camouflaged grass trap.

After constantly draining himself of his spiritual energy and recovering his spiritual power through the use of mediation. It is a good way of training the {Dance of a Hundred Grass Blade} spirit beast skill that he recently acquired, whilst at the same time, gaining skill proficiency for using the spirit beast skill.

Yao Zi's control over his spiritual power gradually improve, over time, it would, fortunately, allow him to find the perfect balance between the rate of consumption of his spiritual power and the absorption of spiritual energy through his secluded meditation.

Everything was going pretty smoothly, as his skills were slowly levelling up over time, as he was constantly grinding for skill proficiency.

His snake tongue has unexpectedly caught onto the scent of an unsuspecting spirit beast, and the distance between the two was not that far away. As the unsuspecting spirit beast then enters into his grass field trap, the numerous grass blades then gave away allowing for the unsuspecting spirit beast to dive deeper into the grass field in search of food.

'Now!' Yao Zi exclaimed, his eyes then immediately shot wide open, as he instinctively instructed the numerous strands of grass in the grass blade field to wrap around the unsuspecting spirit beast's body, and further restrain it in place.

Without a second of thought or showing signs of hesitation, Yao Zi then immediately sprung forth out from his hiding spot, hidden underneath the bushes.

His large snake-like figure definitely lunges forth towards the unsuspecting spirit beast, which turns out to be a 100 (127) years old Iron Claw Mongoose. It was already too late to definitely regret his decisions, as the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose has already set its menacing little red eyes on him.

'Dammit! It's a fucking mongoose! My horrible luck!' Yao Zi then curses underneath his breath, somewhat regretfully, but nevertheless, he was definitely not afraid to further proceed with his actions.

The Mongooses are the arch-nemesis of the snake race, and sometimes the predator of much smaller snake species.

The Mongooses are quite tenacious creatures, somewhat resistant to snake venom. And quite often, they live in dirt burrows in the ground, surrounded by small groups of their own kind; a partner, children, or possibly family members.

The Mongoose are non-discriminatory predators, feeding on small animals such as rodents, birds, reptiles, frogs, insects, and worms. Especially wild Black Mamba Snakes, which certainly is the main meal of Black Mongooses.

And some species of Mongooses supplement their diet with fruits, nuts, and seeds in place of meat, which is scarce and isn't easily found daily.

The numerous strands of grass blades had definitely themselves wrapped around the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose spirit beast's body, and strongly bounded the ferocious creature in place, but it could not hold on for long, or last for a couple of seconds longer, due to the strong tenacity and the ferociousness of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose, quickly ripping and tearing the numerous strands of grass blades apart.

The numerous grass blades that are currently restraining the ferocious creature are slowly beginning to becomes undone, not before Yao Zi then arrives, as he then opens up his jaw wide open, and directly sunk his snake fangs into the main body of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose.

Yao Zi's snake fangs were able to penetrate through the thick skin and the strong defences of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose, breaking through the tough layer and touching the ferocious creature's flesh, but couldn't completely stab through the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose's dense back muscles.

But nevertheless, Yao Zi then proceeded and inject the paralysis snake venom into the body of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose. Thereby hoping to eventually completely paralyse it.

However, things don't always turn out as you most expected, after many years of consuming venomous snake type spirit beast, the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose has somewhat developed a sort of resistance to numerous snake venoms.

But the resistances are not absolute, as they only serve to put up a fight against the outside snake venom, further diminishing the negative side effects of the snake venom or possibly delayed the effects of the snake venom until the battle has completely concluded. Thereby when it is safe to expel the poison outside from its body.

Yao Zi was being relentless, never ceasing to give up hope, as he then quickly wraps his long snake body around the figure of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose in an attempt to strangle and constrict it.

Whilst, at the same time, activating his {Dance of a Hundred Grass Blades} spirit beast skill ability, conjuring up numerous blades of grass and steadily wrapping itself around the figure of itself and the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose. As from an outsiders perspective, you could see alone 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose struggling to free itself from Yao Zi's fine grasp.

The 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose was being reckless, as it ferociously pulled the numerous strands of grass blade that is currently attached to its body off, ripping them thin ropes apart like a certain green Marvel creature.

Whilst, at the same time, the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose were whipping lashes out at Yao Zi's snake figure, clawing at his snake body with its razor-sharp knife-like claws.

As numerous claw marks and slash wounds then began to appear all over on Yao Zi's snake body, with bits, pieces, and chunks of his snake body steadily missing, having been ripped apart and thrown aside by the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose's claw.

However, at the same time, Yao Zi's numerous blade of grass that were wrapped around the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose's body. It steadily cuts into the ferocious creature's skin and flesh like steel wires, thereby causing it to steadily bleed seamlessly out from its fresh-cut wounds.

It has now become a long battle of attrition to see which one would fall down first, as the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose is steadily losing its own blood at a rapid pace.

In the end, the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose then finally succumbs to the paralysis snake venom that was forcefully injected into its own body by Yao Zi, completely exhausted of all of its strength. The tired figure of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose then slowly tumbles to the ground, thereby hitting the grass floor in total defeat.

'Dammit! That fight really ties me out, and I'm all exhausted.' Yao Zi exclaimed, feeling a slight strong sense of frustration.

Yao Zi then forcefully drags the corpse of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose on over towards his hideout, as he then spares no time and rapidly devours the corpse of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose whole.

Afterwards, Yao Zi then immediately severed his connection with the three to four-meter grass field trap that he created.

Without a second of thought, Yao Zi then musters up all of his remaining spiritual power, free utilising his {Dance of a Hundred Grass Blades} spirit beast skill to form a dense grass shield barrier, tightly wrapped around his body underneath his hiding spot.

With all of his spiritual power all used up, Yao Zi is then immediately hit with a strong wave of tiredness, almost blacking out on the spot. He nevertheless gave in without much struggle, having fallen unconscious not so long after that.

Having fallen asleep and rendered unconscious, Yao Zi then patiently waits for his meal to digest; the carcass of the 100 years old Iron Claw Mongoose being slowly broken down by his stomach acids, and to be readily assimilated with himself in order to further increase his cultivation base.
