3. K.O!

A few days later, on a bustling morning, a young boy was dropped off at a grand school. Unlike the other boys, he didn't have a mother look after him nor a father sending him off.

He was just a shorty with a cute baby face with a criminal helpless pout on his lips, struggling with luggage heavier than he was.

Anyone that looked at him, would want to squeeze his cheeks and give him a hand.

He was just that cute.

That boy was Chen Jingyun in her disguise.

They cut her hair in a short bob with bangs that framed her face, cut her nails short, and gave her a binding bra.

They had hoped to make a man out of her, but instead, they got a boy kid.

Looking around, Chen Jingyun found herself to be sticking out like a sore thumb. In a sea of tall guys, she was the odd one out. She somehow expected someone would point at her and reveal her true identity.

But that didn't happen.

Walking amongst the crowd, Chen Jingyun tried to figure out her next move.

Where was she supposed to go?

Ah, going back to society felt a little bit weird...

As she looked around to find someone to ask for help, she didn't notice herself walking into a regretful situation.

Ahead of her, a group of three young men seemed to be immersed in their own dynamic.

Two of them played against each other, trying to steal the ball from the other as they carried their luggage on the other hand.

They seemed like a recipe for disaster.

One of them was blonde and fair-skinned. The gaze in his eyes showed his cunningness, and the smirk on his lip his cockiness. Overall he looked like a notorious playboy, ready to break hearts.

Playing against him, was a red-haired guy with tanned skin. He looked mean and dangerous like a gangster, but his bright eyes and goofy smile told otherwise.

On the side, not far from them, there was a young man watching them as if he was babysitting kids. He wasn't that all impressed with their antics.

This guy was a black pearl kind of beauty. Dark, handsome, and wild. Yet, he seemed to have a restraining factor that made him seem aloof, controlled, and authoritative. No one seemed to compare to him.

Keeping up with their game, the blonde and red-haired guy faced off against each other.

"Ho, you think with those moves you can stay in the basketball team?" The blonde guy taunted as he cockily maneuvered with the ball. His hair swaying with movements, and his playboy smirk unmistakeable. He looked arrogant.

This red-haired guy didn't allow himself to be provoked and continued to follow the ball movements with attentive eyes.

There!

He found an opening!

Reaching out with his hand, in speed and force far greater than he usually used, he successfully managed to knock the ball out of his friend's hand but... he didn't manage to grab onto it.

As if the world had slowed down, the three young men looked at the ball stray further away from their hands and closer into an unsuspecting little boy's head.

"Watch out!"

But it was too late.

Turning her head, Chen Jingyun was knocked out without even knowing what hit her.

Anyone that watched this scene, would silently cry for this little guy.

Inside a white room, standing in different places, there were three young men looking at the person lying in bed.

Pressing his hands against his cheek, the red-haired guy bit his lip as he looked on with worry.

"What if he wakes up and doesn't remember his name?" His voice was fearful and dramatic.

"The doctor already said it was a slight concussion. Stop overreacting." the blonde guy answered with a hint of annoyment, but he also had worry and guilt in his eyes.

But the red-haired guy didn't seem to listen, instead, his voice went an octave higher.

"wHAT IF HE NEVER WAKES UP?"

Annoyed, the blonde guy held back his itching fist and only gave him a glare.

'Can't you just be more positive?!'

Watching his two friends slowly lose their calm, the dark-haired young man sighed and approached the two of them.

"Be quiet. Don't disturb the patient. He will be fine" His voice was gentle and comforting to his worried friends.

"Sorry." The red-haired guy scratched his head, while the blonde guy only kept his silence.

Then, the dark-haired young man then glanced down at the boy lying in bed, giving a long studious glance before turning away.

"I'll be back."

And he closed the door behind him.

Standing outside of the door, the black-haired young man stood in silence as he thought.

His eyes were as deep as the ocean and as dark as the night sky. Within them, a hint of confusion, calculation, and coldness could be seen. He seemed to try to decipher the most difficult puzzle he had ever encountered.

Closing his eyes, the dark-haired guy remembered what happened an hour earlier.

Lying on the ground, the little boy passed out completely.

Everyone turned to look at the unconscious boy, wondering if he was okay. The crowd was closing in on him.

Leaving their belongings, the three of them quickly approached the boy and checked his state.

"Excuse me!"

"Please make some space!"

While their friends fussed over the boy's unconscious state, he couldn't help but notice the boy's feminine features. Fluffy cheeks, rosy lips, long lashes, and a dainty small nose. For a second he thought he was looking at a girl.

But it couldn't be.

If he was a student at their school, he had to be a male.

So, he shook those thoughts away and acted fast to get the little guy the medical help he needed.

Now, they were at the infirmary looking after the little guy.

His friends stayed out of guilt and worry, but he stayed because he couldn't stop studying that face.

Something told him this was a girl in disguise.
