1 Grandma's Illness
..? : Grandma, pack up your things I've called your daughter she'll come and take you to her house to get you treated.
Old Lady Lin: Why did you call your mother?! Aish this child she really never listens to me..
..?: Don't talk grandma. She's your daughter after all. If she has married into such a rich family isn't it her duty to get you treated?
Old Lady Lin: But that house isn't her's and she's also a stepmother. Wouldn't the Li family--
(The door of the ward opens hastily)
Lin wanqi: MA!! You.... How come your illness suddenly worked up. Wasn't it fine when i called yesterday? And you (she said turning to her daughter) Lixue how can you not take care of your grandma?? Don't tell me you went out with those rowdy friends of yours again!!! It's fine if you don't like to study but can't you even take care of your grandma?? How unfilial of you!!
Jin Lixue: If you are done please do the transfer procedures.
Lin Wanqi was at the verge of exploding in anger seeing how her daughter responded to her. :You!!! How shameless!!! She turned back to her mother " Ma! Look at her she's not learned a thing about manners, how can people even relate her to be Weiwei's elder sister? It's all result of your pampering"
Old Lady Lin: Xue'er you should listen to your mother more after all she has the right to teach you right?
Jin Lixue was getting really impatient seeing the situation and responded to her grandma with only a nod.
Lin wanqi quickly went out of the ward and went to meet the doctor in-charge of her mother's treatment to talked about the transfer procedures. When everything was done Old Lady asked Wanqi to also take Lixue with them to the Li family " She has not learned to take care of herself and will starve herself to death if left alone" were her words.
Listening to her mother Wanqi was in a deep thought about weather to agree or not after all she was the only one who did want the custody of Lixue when she remarried and only took Weiwei with her. Now if she took another daughter who was poles apart from Weiwei, she thought that her hard earned reputation in the family would be destroyed.
On the other hand Old Lady Lin saw her thoughtful gaze and couldn't help commenting "She's your daughter after all what's there to think about?"
That's it she was always very guilty whenever she thought about how she never cared about her eldest daughter.
Wanqi looked over to see Lixue's expression and only saw that she was very indifferent to the talk going on. Thinking again she agreed to Old lady Lin's request to bring Lixue back to the Li family house.

On the same floor inside the room a group of doctors were having a very serious discussion about the next operation. The man in the middle sat on a leather sofa legs open wearing a white coat. His face looked like it was carved by the god himself very carefully as each and every part exuded a deep aura. He looked very serious as he looked outside the room with clear hint of interest in his eyes.
"Quite long legs", he suddenly said enunciating each word clearly.
"What? Master Yue did you say something? Repeat it please it wasn't quite clear."
A certain young master feigned ignorance " Did I? I don't think so. Continue the discussion" he said tapping on the table with his long slender jade like fingers.
"Oh I must have heard wrong then"

On the other hand Lin Wanqi helped the old lady into the car. She then got inside too and asked Lixue to enter and close the door. Lixue did not mind her and got in quietly into the back seat with her mother. That was when Wanqi noticed that Lixue just kept playing with her phone, eyes lazily dropping, she was leaning slightly on the car door. Her legs were crossed and she looked extremely unapproachable and chilly, full of oneself, her eyes filled with confidence.
Wanqi was stunned. She blinked her eyes twice unable to believe what she saw in her good-for-nothing daughter. When she opened her eyes again she did not find the same expression. She thought she must have seen wrong earlier, after all how could she, an idle person who did nothing have such a strong expression which she mostly saw on her husband and stepson's face.
That was when she noticed her sitting posture, " Don't you know how to behave even a little bit like a lady? How can you sit like that? Let me remind you when we reach the Li family mansion you better listen to everything i say and follow your sister's steps. How can you be an elder sister? "
Wanqi was afraid to take Lixue to Li family mansion because they were rich people and all had manners. They were all businessmen in Luoyang whereas her family lived in a village in yunnan. She had worked very hard to get a firm hold in the household and Jin Wei, her younger daughter had helped her a lot. She was good in studies and was at the top 5 in the whole school. She was also very talented in playing the zither. So the Li family naturally pampered and liked her a lot.
On the thought of Xue'er entering the Li family as her eldest daughter she was afraid her days to come were not pleasant. She made a mental note to counsel Lixue when the got home.
Lixue did not pay attention to her at all and kept on playing and had a gangster like and lazy aura to her. She thought in her mind about the Li family. Her mother, Wanqi had divorced with her father when she was only 7 years old. Both of them did not want her custody and she also did not cry or beg them to take care of her. Her so-called parents only fought for her younger sister who kept on crying and begging them to not divorce as she wanted a complete family with them. In the end her mother took her younger sister, Jin Wei with her and her father remarried again. Her father's new wife did not like herself so she was left in the care of her grandma.
"Ha, teach me! Fine i'll let you teach me to the bone" she thought. Wanqi saw her and was more displeased. Her eldest daughter had phoenix eyes like her ex-husband, whom she disliked. Well she did like him in the beginning but he never worked hard to support the family and always did odd jobs so she started disliking him. But for a fact he was extremely good-looking. This was also the reason that she fell in love with him and wanted to marry him. But now that they were divorced it was all his fault. Who asked him to be so incompetent?
In front, Old Lady Lin was thinking about weather the Li family will help her with her treatment or not? After all they were not close that much, even if she was Wanqi's mother and herhusband, Li Tanfei's mother-in-law, it did nnot mean that they were obliged to take care of her. Right?
Sitting in one car all the three lady's were in deep thoughts.
