1 Busy shift

It was too late,and still Helen could not sign out from her duty shift as she voluntarily consent next schedule for overtime payment.Its December month and she need extra money for Christmas feast.Its been 2 years since she working in this hotel for housekeeping.She knew well that the boss is too stingy in payment and she couldn't make up Christmas move on well ,unless she contract for overtime shift. Not only the matter of money, but also she need leave for last 10 days of December .This is the only quality time she get to spend with family and friends.

So the last day of duty was very well performed and with 1 month salary earned within 20 days,Helen felt very relaxed and anxious to reach back home for Christmas holidays.Due to her busy shift she couldn't even touch her cellphone for past 18 hours.when reached back her recreation room ,Helen took cellphone from her pocket and switched on.Soon arrived 23 missedcall alerts from home.Helen got panic and tried back to home.But it was on vain as no one responded.Soon she took up her baggage and left the hotel.As she was in a hurry to reach back home she didn't wait for metro,instead thought of picking up a taxi.She waved at a taxi and it stopped.She got in and still she was trying on cellphone.Since everywhere Christmas celebrations have started all the road and buildings were decorated with colorful serial lights, Xmas trees , stars etc.

Usually while returning back home she used to enjoy the sights and lights.But now her mind was blank because she felt something wrong happen d at home.It took nearly 2hrs for Helen to reach home.She paid for taxi and ran to her home.

There was no lights and totally dark.she entered home calling for mom,but there was no reply.Her voice trembled with fear.slowly she reached dining room and soon she heard a loud noise and in seconds lights were on.Huge applause and screaming of her family and friends wishing happy birthday made her alive.Her frightened face soon blossomed with smile and laughter but still her eyes dropped two drops of tears.Yes,today its her birthday and she couldn't remember that due to her busy shift.And then she cut the cake and all of guests partied well.when all were gone ,she sat on the sofa with her mom .Mom complained her for not attending the call.Helen now told Mom that she too tried back a lot but not answered.Telling that she searched for cellphone and came to notice that she lost her phone.soon she took mom's cellphone and tried to her number.It was switched off.she was shocked and sat down weeping.mom tried to pacify her but she still wept and somehow she slept.

Morning dawnlight creeped through white curtains and touched on the golden lashes of that little lady which made her wake up.When she opened her eyes she saw her mom watering indoor plants and she greeted a good morning.Helen too passed a wish and tried to fall asleep again.Soon she opened her eyes ,she ran near the cellphone of mom,called back to her number.It was still switched off.Helen became so lost and she seated desperated for 2 hours.Atlast mom asked her not to spoil her holidays just for the matter of a cellphone.Helen got up,fresher up,went out with Mom for Christmas purchase.she purchased bells,stars,lights,candlesetc. All along the streets were decorated with lights and stars.She reached back home and started to decorate the Christmas tree.she hanged a yellow colored star infront of the home.And was enjoying the beauty of the star.she took mom's phone and tried for the number.she was freeezed and excited.Soon agentleman voice responded to her call .He responded to her call .
